im not a novice but i bow to your skill. do you have any expirience with epiphyte logs? good wood to use? substrate? recommend any specific species and where to find them small enough?
The choice of newts is very individual, there are no ideal species, and they all need their specific vivarium. Start with a lot off literature, internet search, etc... or visit a more experienced hobbyist.

@Nitrogas100 This is a paludarium, so most of the video is on land. All action of the triturus is on land.
