    I just watched the first weeks Russo was booking the WCW. The first weeks he was in charge are far better and much different then when the suits at Turner were making him water down the product. TO ME WCW was more entertaining those first few weeks Russo was solely booking the product for WCW. Russo wasn’t allowed to make WCW better and when they brought back Bischoff as a sort of filter for him it didn’t help either. Not to mention the politics backstage.

      At least he tried to give a gimmick to him. The guy was Lex Luger 2.0, but with not as good of a body, worse charisma and worse mic skills. Oh, woop de do, he did some flips in front of 200 people in ECW, so he must have been the greatest of all time.

    • @opienanthony
      @opienanthony 3 роки тому +2

      @@handsolo1209 Lol, this is the type opinion I would expect from someone who thinks that that was a gimmick worth watching. I'd rather see a giant have amazing athletic matches that are actually entertaining than to watch bad comedy. When your enjoyment of the show is directly correlated to how many people are in the crowd, it's time to admit you have sh*t taste. That crowd had more energy than any crowd that attended your favorite wrestling matches. (or should I say 'your favorite storylines?') Clown.

      @Why The Hell Was I In Star Trek 6? Little boy? Says the guy who is looking for a fight and throwing insults. Post facts to what? That he made garbage decisions? If you can't see his garbage decisions and think his reign was perfect then there is no point. I know internet wrestling fans. They choose a side and then refuse to see the other side no matter how obvious it is. Still... If you have a point you actually want me to address then go ahead.

    • @josereyes1148
      @josereyes1148 3 роки тому

      @Why The Hell Was I In Star Trek 6? I asked what exactly you want me to explain because Russo's failures are many. How he's delusional? Russo will say he got the ratings up when he was there. Which is true. They were short term boosts out of curiosity. They fired him for a reason. I wish he stayed so then he wouldn't have that excuse when ratings failed. They were terrible nitros filled w car crash tv. If you think the quality of WCW was the quality of wwf when he was there you are crazy. He had wannabee boy bands, wanna be mafioso , general Hugh g reaction, Mike awesome the fat chick thriller. These are terrible ideas. His shoot ideas are terrible for the business. It gets temporary attention but just shits all over the business. I love the "everything you are watching is fake but this is real" attempt at booking. It's so stupid and turns more people off when done wrong. He put the title on an actor but then passed blame that it's not his idea. Well he was head of creative,, if it got on tv it's his fault. He put the title on himself but then says it was only one day. Still devalues the belt and was egotistical. He complained standards and practices were the reason for his failures. They may have been an issue but you can tell his writing was bad anyway. Booking nitro girls or a wannabee boy band etc. Just because they can't swear doesn't mean the angle would have been good with it. He blames politics for his failures. I believe there were politics and that it would make it hard to write. I don't think he was doing great and just fell victim to politics though. They wanted him out because in the short time he was there they could tell this car crash tv nonsense was going to destroy any credibility WCW had left. And that's just getting into Russo's writing in WCW. I can get in about how he's a liar and a snake and delusional in other aspects. I Can get into more detail about specific ideas. But i know you are just going to ignore everything i just said because your mind is already made up and you like Russo. You will just gloss over all this and not respond to any of it or make a bad attempt at addressing a few points. It's how immature wrestling fans on the internet are...

      @Why The Hell Was I In Star Trek 6? Russo saying he got ratings up in WCW is like WWE saying they are better than ever because they are making record profits. Yea the claim may be true, but their interpretation of what that means is delusional.

    From hearing Bischoff's side it doesn't sound like he wanted his job back at all, that sounds like fiction to me. I think Russo should've at least taken some responsibility for Goldberg's injury considering he wrote him into that needless scenario in the first place.
