    Listen to what he’s saying even back 19 years ago. He is so consistent with what he says now, and he predicted exactly how the fate of the business would turn out. Especially the wwe. If anyone wants to question Russo’s credibility, watch this interview and then watch anything he puts out today. You will see how true to his word and his beliefs he is, even over a 20 year span. Amazing.

    The TNA asylum years had the progression that Vinnie Ru would have ideally wanted for WCW.
    But backstage politics and power plays made it hard to move together for a better product.

      Ikr, just imagine if s.e.x was in wcw ratings would of been better. But like you said that sex can't be said on t.v but funny how they had strippers on nitro

      @@gabrielguzman6018 wcw standards and practices started to clamp down on the more adult themes. This was at a detriment because the wwf had this type of programming.
      The Network put a lot of road blocks in the way.

    Wow. This was incredible. Vince was, and still is, the best thing to happen to wrestling. Without him, it would just be regular ole rasslin’.

    I'm really glad I was not aware of the whole Meltzer/Keller dirt sheet guys when I was a kid in the 80's & 90's. I'm also glad I wasn't aware of the IWC during this era. They would have ruined things for me. I just watched the show and enjoyed it. Too bad the show is too horrible to do that today.

    Not Cornette, Bischoff and all the rest.

    I saw Vince Russo on August 14th on Nitro he called out GoldBerg and that was in Kelowna bc Canada and he didn’t go to the thunder tapping in Kamloops the next night we’ll they did have the PPV also that weekend in Vancouver where Lance Storm won all 3 titles and renamed them as Canadian championships.

    Lmao at Russo talking about fans wanted to see Goldberg vs Russo…..nah bro. Look at the ratings comparison during these times. WWF was MURDERING WCW! 😂😂😂😂

  • @CalvinTennessee
    @CalvinTennessee 3 роки тому +2

    He became overly confident because of the success he helped create in WWF. The main thing was Vince McMahon. He didn't have that at WCW. Russo was just all talk and no substance.

    I LIKE VINCE but him being on tv was the stupidest idea...why the F would a writer be on tv thats a no disbelief

    • @yourfavoriteentertainment
      @yourfavoriteentertainment 5 років тому +7

      Right. A writer can't be on TV. Just like how Larry David can't be on TV for Curb Your Enthusiasm because he's definitely not a writer. It was completely believable with how Russo won the title, like it or not. He was speared through the cage and almost killed, if he wouldn't have put that helmet back on his head in preparation of being speared. By the way, do not blame Russo for being on TV. Bischoff was the one that told him to be an on screen character. Russo hated it. If Russo wanted to be on TV, he easily could have written himself into being on TV when he was a writer for a WWF. It was Eric Bischoff's call for him to be an on screen character.

      Christopher Bell absolutely true! If Larry can be a good character and half responsible for Seinfeld’s success as the proof is in his own show then why not try this spin
      The internet was buzzing about Vince. People wanted to see. And as you mentioned btw... Bischoff was the first to be an on air wrestler before Russo or McMahon, but because it was during the height of wcw he doesn’t get blame for its demise

    • @AllHailKingKurt
      @AllHailKingKurt 5 років тому +2

      So I guess the McMahon’s shouldn’t be on tv, they write many segments on raw and smackdown.
