    Cool to see largemouth fishing from other country's. Looks like the bass do well in the warm climate of Spain. They grow giants here in Florida and Texas. Got to love the topwater bite.

      hello,
      for all top water action we have used rods from Gunki in the Yurai or Iron-T series. Mainly MHh or H around 200 til 210 cm lengh. For fines technics The Iron-T series in M or ML and more precisely for wacky rig I love the Street fishing series Pandora perch seduction.

    It looked like all the bass you caught were very fat and healthy. What was the primary forage base where you were fishing?

    • @fredericjullian4534
      @fredericjullian4534 8 років тому

      they feed on bleak or a type of barbel! it's a lot of other white fishes too and tons of crawfish in those lakes!

    • @handcannon1388
      @handcannon1388 8 років тому +1

      That's interesting. From their dimensions, I was expecting them to be gorging on trout.

    • @fredericjullian4534
      @fredericjullian4534 8 років тому +1

      No trout but the temperature of the water is quite hight all year round the climate is good. And barbels and bleak are in big amount.

    Mr. Jullian, I would like to commend you on your interaction with your viewers. Most successful youtube fisherman only seem to respond to lavish praise, and don't answer many honest questions. I do, but then I only have a whopping 11 subscribers; as such I would hardly describe my self as successful.
    I enjoyed watching Perch Pro. I might have a "creature bait" and a new wrinkle that you haven't heard of. Lunker City, the makers of the Slug-go (which you likely have heard of) used to make a lure called a "Hellgie". I think it is supposed to look like a hellgrammite, or dobsonfly larva. What it looks more like is a 4" long mayfly larva. The coolest thing is that, if you rig them right in wacky style, they shake like a crankbait as you retrieve them! I never really caught a lot of bass on them, but I bet they would catch the heck out of those giant perch (and maybe big trout too). I would be willing to send you some to try, if you give me a mailing address. You could direct message me through my channel by just clicking on "handcannon" at the beginning of my comment. Have a great day.
    Ken Watson

      I have been using the Hellgies long time ago yes :-D 10 years ago it was a secret finess bait for some tournament anglers in France and spain. We could only purchase it on the US at that time. We were using it for drop shotting mainly. Awesome baits indeed. And I think I can see how you rig it to have the crankbait action too. You seems to have a good knowledge that most fishermen don't. those are tips that I have learn from the Elite Pro when I was fishing with them in spain or in the us. Thanks for the tips man.

    • @handcannon1388
      @handcannon1388 8 років тому

      frederic jullian The trick to the crankbait action was to use two real wire brads (I believe they were 1" long) for weight in the nose. If you make that flattened head section stiff enough and the right length and angle (by placing the hook close behind the nails), you will get the shaking action on the lift or with a slow, straight retrieve.
      I still have some of these in black with a greenish belly and a rootbeer with a dark shad-colored belly. The latter with some red on the head and maybe the last inch or so of the tails dyed chartreuse would probably be something to contend with.

    • @fredericjullian4534
      @fredericjullian4534 8 років тому

      that's exactly how to do it. dont hesitate to try this on shad shape soft bait like finess fish type with V tails. Cranking this on shallow sandy bottom works so fine when predators are chasing school of small baitfish.

    • @handcannon1388
      @handcannon1388 8 років тому +1

      I'll have to try it sometime with a "fluke" style softbait. Thanks for the tip.
