It is critical to the good order of UK law that an investigation brings those who brought false evidence before the courts which convicted the postmasters. Let's not just sweep it under the carpet when all the postmasters are pardoned, there has been a crime committed in which false evidence has corrupted justice. Much more serious is that a corporate entity has profitted by convicted many innocent postmasters. Usually, such corporate entities get away with it scot free and nobody (representative or financial beneficiary) will be convicted. In the end, it will be said that we must not make these mistakes again, there will are lessons to be learned. Nobody will learn lessons as there are no consequences.

Couldn't agree more. Does Davis think there might be some political point scoring in this now it's reached the headlines. Pity he chose to do nothing years ago when these people were crying out for help and commiting suicide. A disgusting man.

I have worked in software test teams on a number of projects over more than a decade. I want to see the Fujitsu test plans and test results for this system. I want to see the list of defects raised and the records of retesting fixed code. I want to see the lists of outstanding defects (there are always some) when the code was released to production. How much did Fujitsu actually know and when? At what point did they start to build a team to edit the data in the live system? What audit trail was kept of the transactions 'touched' by the Fujitsu live system edit team? It should be possible to retrieve this information for any major software project. It should be revealing (otherwise why collect it?). It should be made public. I can only see 2 possibilities: # the software quality checks were not good enough # software quality concerns and known defects were ignored for commercial reasons My hunch is that the project was afflicted by both these pathologys.

I really want to know why Lord Neuberger interfered , if the recusal had succeeded the whole noble attempt at taking on the stinking system would have failed
