- I drove overland for two days to the Overland Expo PNW 2024. You'll see the varying terrain and my last night camping between Sisters and Bend, OR. The Route from Timothy Lake to Detroit Lake was supposed to be blocked due to recent fires. Using OnX Offroad, I found a side road that goes around the closed-off portion. I started the Back Country Discovery Route (BDR) #5 on the far side of Detroit Lake, down to Sisters, OR. The route can be driven in pretty much any vehicle, with one or two spots where higher clearance would be preferred--like a Subaru.

Hi Matt , DJ S dad here ,Great video man you are ready for bear with all the gear ! I really like the way you set up your gear in the back ! I didnt see a chainsaw though what do you do when you come across a tree over the road ? it happens a lot around here because of the winds . We are staying on the Elk River in Port Orford and we have Big Kitties visiting often im allways finding deer bones or scat but yet to see one . word of advice get yerself a dog as an alarm . Great VIDEO S Matt I really like that you dont mess it up with annoying music through the whole thing in the background ! GOOD STUFF MAN !
