- Here we unbox the long-awaited new book by ABBA historian Carl Magnus Palm. It goes into great detail on ABBA's music once it had left the studio, looking at each album's artwork, production and chart positions. Further, it follows the format of The Complete Recording Sessions in documenting the Voyage album sessions from 2017-21.
This is something that many ABBA fans have been waiting for for A LONG TIME, but we are so grateful to finally be able to hold it in our hands and place it alongside The Complete Recording Sessions in our collections!
I've spent all weekend reading my copy of this astounding book. Can't even believe the level of detail given -- CMP has done a DEEP DIVE and I can understand why this took a little longer than expected--seriously amazing. Was so happy to get me copy. Was totally work the wait!

Great unboxing. Reading mine today, couldn't help going straight to the Voyage chapter. But browsing through other chapters, the rude and dismissive reviews from what was once called 'rock media' in UK is striking. Talk about history proving them wrong! Going to Voyage again on 6th April so looking forward to that. Thanks for the info about likely reprint of Complete Recordings. That's a must have for me.
I was, of course, tempted to jump straight to the Voyage chapter, and then go back, but I decided to go from the very beginning, and have surprised myself in being patient so far! Haha! Onto the third chapter and am really enjoying!! :)
My copy arrived yesterday. Finished reading the first chapter! Hope to get the revised edition of 'The Complete Recording Sessions' when it comes out, hopefully soon!
WOW!!! You reading the title „Hit By A Train“ OUT LOUD has got me all hyped up all over again for these two unreleased songs!!! Of course, ABBA have given us more than we could have ever asked for, but I would be SO thrilled for maybe, just maybe, a „Voyage“ special edition with those two as bonus tracks…?🤩 Come on, Björn and Benny, you can do it!😉

Hello. What an excellent book covering Abbas career. I was in my teens in the 1970s, and in high school when they hit big with Waterloo in 1974. I live in New Zealand but unfortunately they didn't come here. They toured Australia and did a movie there. They put out great pop music and have made a large contribution to music.

Like you, I'm so looking forward to getting into the detail. We ABBA fans, we are so lucky to have such a dedicated and talented author as Carl Magnus.
Absolutely, I’m just reading the first chapter now, some really interesting stuff on People Need Love that I would never have guessed had such an impact on ABBA’s future, I won’t give anything away though! 😊 I cannot wait to get my hands on the revised CRS when it gets reprinted, I was so gutted to miss out on it last time!

Im amazed of your young age and such a fan of ABBA.Im a fan since 1980 and in hight shool the kids used to lought at me because ABBA were getting out of fashion.

Absolutely! I don’t want to give anything away but I am chuckling at CMP’s description of the perception of Swedish women by American men around the time People Need Love was released on Playboy Records!
