Well, we had Covid for the Holidays. So Hanukkah was a bit of a bust. We missed the first night and then we had Hobbit-kah, where we watched all 3 Hobbit movies. LOL
Oh I am so sorry. But it had to be doing movie time.

So hard to get the public school teacher habits out of our system! Might be jealous of your Florida weather...we got a record breaking 34" of snow last night. Our therapists came to the house, though, so except for travel ing to specialist doctor appointments we didn't do too much school the car.
34! Man this has been a really cold year. Even Florida has been cold. I will admit the pool area for Naomi is heated so it only affects her therapy when there is a freeze.

New follower here! I so feel you on so many therapy appointments and needing to be creative to get school done! I think you are doing a great job momma! So many of our days (pre Covid) was filled with appointments and van time. It is tiring but God chose you specifically for this job.

It’s great that you can multitask during therapy. I have to be in therapy so nothing else ever got done for us until after. But fortunately at this point Katie can be independent. The hardest part for us now is getting all of therapy done for Sophie AND get some school done for her. It is a hard day for her to do 3 hours of therapy and then do school too. But she’s at the age where she really needs to do at least math and reading or she would lose 2 days of school. It really is hard to manage it all.

I really needed this video. I haven't figured out how to reincorporate therapies in our homeschool routine.
Do you ever struggle with trusting the therapists enough to leave her alone with them? We have a kiddo who has a language disorder that would prevent him from telling us if he is being hurt by someone else. I caught a therapist yanking him violently and ever since I cannot get over the anxiety of leaving him alone with a therapist. This fear has kind of paralyzed me and I feel bad because he really needs to get back into therapies. How do you deal with making sure she is safe and still attending to your other kids?
I am so sorry this happened to you. I am very thankful that our therapist are trustworthy. Before COVID, I was able to go in with them and observe. I got to know them. They also have an open area where they do their work so there are no closed doors. But most importantly I have really developed a strong relationship with them. They have worked with her for years.
I hope you reported that therapist, most aren’t like this. But when you find a good therapist, you will know. If you haven’t found one, I totally encourage you to keep looking.
