What an incredible singer/actor to perform like this……with real tears!! And what a loss to opera fans, that he is undocumented as a major recording artist. I discovered this maestro accidentally after searching UA-cam for ‘breathing for high notes.’ His tutorials are almost as amazing and enlightening as his singing and he truly deserves to be regarded as one of the greatest teacher/singers ever. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
And he continues To teach in youtube, with a lot of amazing knowledge, and with beautiful a voice at 82 years of age. It proves that what he teaches is true. What a human he is. Such joy!
Unquestionably one of the best tenors I 've ever heard. Michael's voice flows so naturally without weird modifications and so-called "placements" in his sound. Just pure resonance!
What is perfection? Here it is. Great tenor!!! One of just few tenors i adwise to listen to my tenor students as an example of excellence. Thank you, Maestro!
This is absolutely wonderful. Fresh and Alive in the delivery! Absolutely beautiful English singing getting every word. I wish I heard this type of singing when I go the Met or La Scala.
from what l hear his technique is amazing! which is something more unusual than what u would think great performance! heroic voice he and Dame Joan would have made a great couple in Lucia
I agree! Mastro Trimble is far beyond modern tenors. I had the privilege of speaking to him a few times. He has been incredibly encouraging of my own voice as well. Ask him yourself. He usually returns emails. He'd love to hear from you. He teaches around the world through Skype...
you're so lucky! did u speak to him in person? l live in ltaly, but one day if l can l'd like to have lessons with him in person cuz he seems so damn good at teaching! and also cool as a person, l think l'd be too shy on skype lol
Dadacomero YES! I love this man! He is a vocal genius! He also has a new book out that you can purchase through his website or on amazon.com. I too, am planning on training with him one day. Unfortunately, Im broke right now. He has given my voice the highest praise...out of all the Pro Opera tenors that have been interested in my voice, I think Trimble is one of the top.
Wow, just beautiful, voice, interpretation, beautiful and handsome man in one of the greatest, moments in the world of opera. Thank You for sharing with today audience this great singing where we feel exactly the singer heart and sole...completely ecstasy. Bravo♥♥♥
Hello, I have found my way from your videos on how to sing, which I found incredibly enlightening. May I ask, when blasting the really powerful high notes, for example at 14.08 how different does it sound to you and the audience? And how extreme is the physical sensation of resonance in the skull? Many thanks! enjoyed the performance a lot.
My mentor in voice once said, the more relaxed you sing, the more resonance you make. I guess the physical sensation that should be only felt is the vibration on your diaphragm and on the mask.
I think at that stage he was using the lower half of the Mask the sound appears to be confined to a particular space and only that space and space is narrow
Thank you for the compliments! it was broadcast in January of 1964, put together in October of 1963. I'm 83 now and still sing all day every day and still loving it! All the best to you, Michael t
I turned 85 years old on March 15th, and i still sing every day, all day, and teach in 41 countries. What. a life1. All I ever wanted to do was/is sing! God has been very kind to me! All the best to you, Michael T

This is definitely a unique lesson in interpretation for the younger generation of operatic artists.
He is speaking at pitch and it is effortless. Fantastic understanding of the craft of singing as communication combined with great technique.
This is truly amazing! What a voice! He out sings almost every modern tenor in my opinion.
almost????
u think there are better tenors today? seriously? who? kauffmann?
please...
@@Dadacomero Salvatore Fisichella. Look him up :)
Yes he does. No tenor sings like this today.
@@EuIo93 He's long retired...

Dear Maestro, you have a such glorious voice. It is truly a pleasure to listen to. Thank you so much for all your work.

Crystal clear diction, no change in quality through his range, no change in attack ie no covering through the passagio.
Che bella dizione libera da qualsiasi tensione

Something was wrong somewhere. I heard him between 69 and 73 a cpl of times and by 73 one actually could hardly hear him over the orchestra
So powerful and emotional. Best Edgardo ever 🎶❤

Is there a complete version of this performance? At least ensembles? Nice clarion voice
I think at that stage he was using the lower half of the Mask the sound appears to be confined to a particular space and only that space and space is narrow

Great healthy singing with clarion clarity and coordination. Too bad he skipped the cadenza at the end of the Aria.
