Why is the Western media so biased against India? No matter what India achieves, you guys will always show poor image of India. But no worries. Gradually, even the Western media will also have accept that India is upcoming superpower.
Best explanation- we brought every friggin best players who are out there and put them on teams and made them clash, and surprisingly, IPL provided more thrill that you wouldn't have had even dreamt of. Plus india has the world's biggest fan army towards anything, which happens to be cricket. As a result of all the friggin international stars playing ipl became a worldwide thing. That's it.
Sorry but i shouldnt have to take a weeks annual leave to watch a cricket match ffs. T20 you watch one night like a normal football match and that's it.
This short form of cricket in hours is called 'T20', it's done by the global cricket body. But Indian cricket governing body introduced IPL as a franchised version of that T20, in USA sports league style. And that got more success, as most cricket money comes from India.
To all my Indian friends, before making sarcastic comments about the lazy journalism, remember, CNBC has fallen on hard times. They simply don't have the budget to pay for stock footage of IPL so they're dusting off old CDs. Please guys, don't laugh at them, they are simply trying to get through poverty-stricken times
I am not denying that your video was great but you could have bought some clips from the cricket league you are talking about. Why show cricket footage from the 90s portraying rural audience and lack of facilities at the stadiums. That's the difference between you and CNN
cricket is so popular in india, that in indian high school history textbooks there is a chapter called the story of cricket. So almost every person who has cleared high school needs to read about the story of cricket in india.
I don't understand why my country mates have problems with old India images the 90 visuals so to say.... It's a beautiful reality you've got to embrace it. I love my country the way it is, just grow up lads.
As an ardent cricket fan, I'm seriously concerned about the progress of the game. Arguably the second most popular game (in terms of number of viewers) is confined to just 10 countries and even between those countries we don't have a level playing field. Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa are all joining the ranks of Zimbabwe and Ireland.. The game is only thriving in India and Australia and the big three boards( India, Oz, England) have monopolized the game and took complete control of it. If ICC doesn't take proactive steps to proliferate the game beyond boundaries, I don't think we will have real competetion in ICC events like world cup. We would only have leagues like IPL being played all 365 days.
Finally IPL is doing what was expected from it to do, Attracting the western media. Now is the time to attract the western talent as well, hope IPL will do this as well.
There are so many inaccuracies in this video. For example, England invented T20 matches, not India and the worldwide fan base is over 2 billion, not 1 billion.
Yes India have made Twenty20 what it is, and as a lover of all forms of cricket I think it's amazing that it is exploding around the world!! What you didn't make clear is the fact it was introduced by the ECB in 2003.

There is popular quote in our region dog wouldn't change its habit while sitting on a golden chair.like that western media didn't change its point of view against india
Or may be they didn't have any photographers to take pics of modern india.
Hi all brothers and sisters of world think with heart india is a developing nation with severe population so there are so many problems we curi ng them it takes time please support us don't blame.......💕💕💕💕💕
Ipl final live 18.6 million people watch
Icc semifinal ind vs nz live 25.3 million people watch 😘😘😘
Most of the viewers are Indian😂😂
Why is the Western media so biased against India?
No matter what India achieves, you guys will always show poor image of India.
But no worries. Gradually, even the Western media will also have accept that India is upcoming superpower.
what power ?
It is a poor country still
This video is made by an American, people in US are clueless about other countries
@Bhatt Inaam Ul Haq 40 million Pakistanis are toiletless.
@Bhatt Inaam Ul Haq stop liking your own comment... pathetic losers!!
That's it.
Test match=cricket, 2020=entertainment.
And people love entertainment
WHOLE VIDEO ABOUT IPL
BUT SHOWS AS LITTLE AS 3 PICTURE OF IPL PLAYERS
Whatever excitement IPL brings, it will never beat the nail bitting finish of 5th day play of test cricket.
As an Indian, i would say the best thing Britishers did was teaching Indians how to play cricket...
thats only cultural thing
1billion cricket fans nd 90% s India..this sum up all..
INDIA IS KEEPING CRICKET ALIVE......😮
Those 2thausand people who disliked are football and baseball lovers 😂
Am I the only one who sees images of india of tge period between 1998- 2005 period. Aren't we enjoying too much from the past folks!
I don't understand why my country mates have problems with old India images the 90 visuals so to say.... It's a beautiful reality you've got to embrace it. I love my country the way it is, just grow up lads.
Those visuals work when you're showing 90's India and not 2010's India
It revolves around CSK ( Chennai super kings) why 2018 was a biggggg year for ipl .
There is no Competition now between teams....!! only 2-3 teams like India , England, and Australia are the only good teams
South Africa used to be good
Yea, nz crushed India’s dream of the wc this year
@@hassanmahmood891 better than being non competent in the league and getting out n not eligible for playing the semis....
BCCI killed the growth of cricket for money..
Came here only for Legen in the Thumbnail..
*SHANE* *WATSON*
Every time cnbc says India *shows a clip of india from 1960s
*Twenty20 cricket's popularity didn't begin in India, it started in the West Indies with Allen Stanford back in 2006.*
Finally IPL is doing what was expected from it to do, Attracting the western media.
Now is the time to attract the western talent as well, hope IPL will do this as well.
there is no western talent, nobody except immigrants from cricket playing countries (like myself) plays cricket in the USA or Canada
@@deeppatel7496 wait for some years
It crossed 22million views on Hotstar india Vs newzeland Match
22.4 million just before Jadeja was out.
There are so many inaccuracies in this video. For example, England invented T20 matches, not India and the worldwide fan base is over 2 billion, not 1 billion.
UK has the most test attendance even more than India
Poor CNBC. Can not come out of 20th century mindset.
This Video Is For Pakistan🇲🇷
But They Have To Use Caption😂
Unfortunately Urdu Caption Nahi Hai Toh Pakistaniyo Ko Samaj Nahi Aayegi Ye Video
*This Year Dream11 Is The Official Sponsor Of IPL*
Did I just watch "What is IPL?" after following it for 12 years?
racist channel never shows good picture but show old photos of developing India.
Very soon future generation Americans will be googling "Sachin" and "Dhoni"
Yes India have made Twenty20 what it is, and as a lover of all forms of cricket I think it's amazing that it is exploding around the world!!
What you didn't make clear is the fact it was introduced by the ECB in 2003.
Do you Research Properly.. Cricket is played in 120 Countries.. It has 104 members.. West Indies Consist of 15 countries & England of 2 ( England & Wales )
Please bring IPL (or Mini IPL) to US.
Indians came here to verify if they explained it right
On Sunday, one way or another, history will be made, as England and New Zealand battle it out at Lord's, each trying to win their first ever Cricket World Cup.

England cricket is gonna become a lot more popular now that they won the world cup. We saw the effects on sri lanka of failing to become world champs so many times and the sport there is close to dead
