Props to Richard for finding the brilliant move Be6, sacking his rook for that incredible defense that’s self sufficient enough to push his pawn freely.
Sometimes even the best make mistakes just because they’re in a higher position than you dosent mean they won’t make the same mistakes you have they were once in your position
And this is why chess is a game of nerves and why you never resign. Pragg was at +3, a huge advantage. But after his first blunder he went to +0, completely equal. What a honesty. I will remember this. Great Rapport.
No need to say sorry when you didn't do anything wrong.
Staying focused for hours and blundering in a single moment must be so painful
It is. But that's also part of chess

At this level chess becomes the most brutal game played by the most humble gentleman
I agree!!! Chess is very brutal. But most of the top players are such gentleman. It's painful to see any lose due to a blunder like that...

It’s brutal at all levels.
Just that at the top level people just never expect them to blunder.
“do you want to analyze?”. that’s dedication ❤
This is very typical for chess players.
Sure, that bit where you blundered the game, that was probably an error. Evil grin.
Painful to look at when its a bad loss

Pragg’s blunder brought out the true character of Richard!

The hardest thing to do is win a winning position.

It happened to me multiple times when i lost winning games over the board

The thing is that this thing has now happened 2 times in time pressure just before candidates.......this is the concern
Its not bad luck, it happens to a lot of players under time pressure and yeah it stings but thats just how it is

At least the guy was willing to set up the board to analyze.
There’s a game that we say say sorry to our opponent when winning…. Yes that’s CHESS,thats so beautiful…

The longer the game the more painful the loss, especially if you have a winning position. Some people can just quit
