i love looking and redrawing my old art, it’s the nostalgia of it. i love knowing that i put my hard work into it and i used to be so proud of it. it’s nice.
I think both are really cool...!! I personally like saturated colours, so the old one sticks out to me more, but in terms of everything else, you've definitely improved! Especially in anatomy, I really like the way you posed her :D The old one definitely has its charm, and I think the reason some of the people in the comments seem to prefer the old one is because your style relies a lot on the rendering, and I think your current one vibes a lot more with desaturated and softer colours, so this piece in particular was probably a bit out of your element for what it was (a drawing that had bright colours as the main focus/charm). But overall, you've definitely improved, and it's fun to see the difference!
I think one of the biggest subtle improvements is your shape work and composition! The new one has much more balanced framing, a bolder silhouette with the jacket size and hair size, and the props around her have much more balanced rhythm whereas the older one the rhythm was more bunched up towards the bottom. Really makes a noticeable improvement in the comparison.
Feels like the old one is better for purple hair girl. The 2019 and 2018 one was a good example but the new face and shading seems a lot more similar to a lot of the artstyles I see, it doesn't give it a distinct vibe.
always looking at my old art - but i find it so fun redrawing them coz it makes me feel like i've improved (other times my old pieces are way better than my current art buuttttt we don't talk abt that 💀💀)
I redrew a few pieces from 2022, and I was surprised how much I actually improved within the past months compared to 2022, where I didn't take art seriously enough
I think both of them are very amazing your new way of drawing is sort of more dynamic with the posing then the old way, but I loved both of the styles and your old style sort of gave those like pixelated video games vibe:3❤
i love this!! i noticed that the character seems to almost age up along with the improvement, in the way her shape and build is. especially in the face. just a cool detail to me :)
I do think that you've improved a lot, the composition, colors, shading are a lot better, braver in a way, make sense and it's pleasing to look at. The only thing that I felt it lacks is movement and emotion compared to the older artwork. Also (this is just my opinion I guess) I like her face a lot more in the older artwork than the newer, she has her own obvious facial features, I like the roundness of her face shape and it has a lot more emotion to it. But it's obviously completely different art styles and what matters most is your choice of an art style and how you want to draw something. Great work as always!! (sorry if my grammar is bad or some places don't make sense)
I really like the old one cuz it had a lotta motion and a lot of “quirkiness” or whatever lol, i also really love the newer one cuz u can see the amount of polish over the years, (imo)nicer colors and just a better understanding of fundamentals! It was really cool seeing the comparison:)
Re-drawing old art is like your art grew up with you. You can see from your old drawing, it looked much younger, while your recent drawing of it. Is much more older seen.
the improvement in the anatomy is quite dramatic and the pose itself feels far more comfortable and natural in the redraw, not to mention the improvement in the composition. idk what people are yapping about saying they prefer the old one.
old one is more expressive and has more character in my opinion. theres also lot more movement on old drawing which create more dynamic. tho i think she improve on overall big picture composition?
yes she improved on anatomy. but focusing alot and too much on correct anatomy sometimes are the one that get in a way of flow and dynamic on picture in my opinion. atleast in my experience. i'm not proffesional or anything
protip: no matter how much you end up hating your old art, never delete it, you'll eventually regret it when you get to a stage of enjoyment in your art and wish you could look back at where you started!! RIP my art from 2010-14
you give me motivation to re-draw my old deviantart pieces as well but like god damn your skillset back then was wayy better than mine. I've literally been in shock this whole video and I'm absolutely obsessed with your transition to styles. I hope to collaborate creativity with you someday even though I have severe anxiety. 🙏
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?

Absolutely amazing!!!
I love every chance I get to see your work!
I learn a lot from watching you 🤍🌱
Art is edible, I like it.
I like both of them for different reasons
I love these types of video, it's so fascinating seeing how the process has changed ☺
I always find it amazing when I look at artists' art over the years and watching them improve, it feels like I've watched them grow up
As someone who's gone through his first year of drawing, I can only imagine how I'll look back at my first pieces a couple years from now 😅
protip: no matter how much you end up hating your old art, never delete it, you'll eventually regret it when you get to a stage of enjoyment in your art and wish you could look back at where you started!! RIP my art from 2010-14
the old one looks a lot more distinct and really catches the eye
3:27 feel like that‘s kinda depressing to hear :,)
same imo. the new one is still good, but idk, something about the old one has a way more fun energy, and the colors
It’s just the different pose, their actual rendering and coloring have massively improved
That's one harsh thing to say to an artist
on her instagram post she said she's aiming for consistency over creativity rn
OH WOW!!!! I LOVE YOUR IMPROVEMENT WHAAAAT ❤
Just when my soul was falling apart, blue appeared :0
I don’t think I’ve ever redrawn one of my old artworks, but they look so bad, I might start considering redrawing old ones
Are we not gonna talk about how cute she drew Bakugou 🙏
The improvement is crazy
