"Face the Nation" is the number one Sunday morning public affairs program. The broadcast is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television, having premiered on CBS on Nov. 7, 1954. John Dickerson is the host of "Face the Nation". He also serves as Political Director for CBS News and is a contributor to Slate magazine and its podcast The Political Gabfest. Started watching this thinking " wow, a professional, respectful reporter, that's good to see. " then it got about 5 minutes in and he's turned it into a debate

Yes. Under the Affordable Care Act, health insurance companies can't refuse to cover you or charge you more just because you have a “pre-existing condition” - that is, a health problem you had before the date that new health coverage starts. They also can't charge women more than men.

Couldn't agree more... holy crap this is hard to watch because of the interruption issue on the part of the interviewer.
I think reporters realize that when they ask Trump something he doesn't want to answer, he will start talking about Obama, Hillary, the election etc and they try to bring him back on track. I'd rather see him get interrupted and try to answer the question, than speak in generalities about things he says every time he opens his mouth.

Probably because most of what he's asked is about politics and foreign relations. There's probably a really good reason for why he can't talk about it.
I don't know if anybody else noticed it, but there was a pretty obvious cut in the video at about 11:14-ish. That was just the most obvious one. I'm not sure if it directly answers your question, but it is possible that maybe the interview was cut up or had content taken out. I'm THINK that they cut out anything important (I mean, let's face it - it's Trump lol), but there always IS the possibility because... well, at the end of the day, every media agency has its agenda. It's not a new thing, but it's definitely more noticeable today than it was ages ago.

Why is this interviewer asking questions like he is a prosecutor? Where are the good manners? I was keen to hear some answers of the president but I couldn't because an interviewer interrupted him every time the president had opened his mouth and in half of the sentence. This interview was so rude and unprofessional.
P.S.: Note the the journalist: the people have chosen the president Trump and the people want to hear what he has to say so please be polite and respectful because journalists are not "the stars" here - they should be the voice of the people and people want to hear their president.
Slobodanka S Presidents are expected to handle hard hitting questions, it's not meant to be a happy interview. Watch any serious interview of Obama and you'll see the same thing.

I have a job interview in a few hours so I'm watching Trump interviews to pick up his arrogant, believes-he's-always-right attitude. He's got this particular way of pausing, or emphasizing certain words that makes it sound like he's talking to you like you're a child. He sounds like he's always dumbing things down, explaining like his listener doesn't know. Also the slight rasp of his voice and the way he talks slowly make him sound like a sweet old man. I think he sounds like a grandpa. Just something I'm noticing.
