Lester is the only one who can interview this man without it ending with him exploding, verbally abusing the interviewer and potentially walking off. Lester Holt is highly professional, asks the right questions, is objective and has alot of patience. He’s absolutely brilliant at his job.

The investigation is still active and there is a chain of command which kicks in. It will be OK. The investigation will continue and ultimately discover that the Russians had no collusion with Donald Trump. Then you can find something else to throw a temper tantrum about.

Watching this at the time made me laugh out loud at how crazy it was to admit that you as president fired an FBI Director to stop an investigation into yourself. 6 later after COVID, after 1/6, after the GA call, the MAL documents, the NY indictment, and so much more… this almost seems like good old days of Trump relatively speaking being “presidential.”
