In France we decriminalized in 1791, soo early

It's really interesting to see the Ottoman Empire legalizing lgbt much before almost all other European countries
Because, in 1839, the Ottoman Empire recognized that Islamic rules were insufficient to govern the country and initiated a Europeanization movement in line with the laws of France. We need to know that the Ottoman rulers living at that time did not do this for human rights. As someone who lives in Turkey; unfortunately, Turkey is still a country that can give homophobic reactions. We talking about LGBTI+ rights for the last few years.

You probably should have done a little more research, because being gay is most certainly not a crime in the Philippines. We have no penalties for being gay here. Public opinion of the LGBT community is pretty positive, and we have some anti-discrimination laws. We even have a transgender congresswoman.

Since this video, many things have changed, it is quite outdated.
Slovenia, Switzerland, American Samoa, Curaco, Andorra, Cuba, Chile, Austria, Costa Rica, Taiwan, Ecuador legalised same-sex marriage

Poland will legalize civil Unions. I'm 99,99% sure of it as I'm from Poland and new government has promised to legalize them in the near future (probably also in 2024), Same with Lithuania. There are also chances that Bosnia and Herzegovina will do the same because they consider it since 19th October 2018, and Peru will 100% legalize same-sex marriage in the 2024-2025 period.

LGBT rights since 2019, but sloppily done in some places. Transitions from civil unions to marriages are not included.
Sudan has removed the death penalty, July 2020. Bhutan has legalized homosexuality, February 2021. Costa Rica has legalized marriage, May 2020. Mexico has more states recognizing civil unions/marriages since 2019.
Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Georgia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Panama, El Salvador, Cuba, Japan, Switzerland, Slovakia and perhaps others not mentioned here are "about to" legalize marriages/civil unions. The Inter-American ruling of the Court in 2018 has made some countries in the Caribbean reconsider their laws on gay marriages, some of which were originally unrecognizing.
Oman does not mention any death penalty, so I'm not sure about the red. Kuwait, Eastern Sahara and the Philippines are countries that theoretically 'accept' homosexuality. Benin may or may not recognize civil unions.
Concretely, to summarize, Sudan (below Egypt) went from red to orange. Bhutan (right of Nepal, the white blob) went from white to green. Costa Rica (one of the states near Panama, I suck at Central American geography) went from green to purple. Mexico went from green/purple to green/even more purple. Apart from that, countries are considering legalizing marriages in Europe and yeah.
The information has been taken from Wikipedia. 7th April, 2021. I might have jumped over some other pieces of information so don't take anything as straight facts.
Additional information - India should be light blue at this point

Qatar doesn’t carry out death penalties for homosexuality (as in sexual intercourse), only imprisonment. The death penalty is used for actual crimes like murder and espionage, and the last execution was more than 16 years ago. It also isn’t considered a death penalty in uae, Oman, and KSA (KSA is a death sentence when it involves sex) while in Oman and uae sex is punishable with prison time. In Kuwait and the Palestinian Territories male homosexuality is illegal but female not, so this is pretty inaccurate, especially regarding the Middle East. The only countries that punish homosexuality without sex in the Middle East by death are Iran (I think), taliban-controlled Afghanistan, and the former and dreaded Isis, which threw them off of buildings
Oh, thanks for the clarification, but just because Qatar hasn't done it in a while, doesn't mean they don't have the death penalty for it.

Well thing is people will not accept it.. It may become "decriminalized" at best..
The Philippines Supreme Court ruling explains that homosexual conduct is not illegal here and has never been illegal. Read Ang Ladlad LGBT v. COMELEC. Please change the color to green for Philippines.
Green?? More like Yellow, we dont even recognize same sex-marraige. Most of my friends are homophobics.
@@1tzL1ghtn1nXGreen because gay sex has never been criminalized here. The Philippine Supreme Court took an effort to look back at Old Spanish Penal Code of 1870 and Revised Penal Code but nothing there pertains to criminalization of gay sex. Read Ang Ladlad LGBT v. COMELEC GR # 190582.
Same-sex marriage is a different issue. If we have the same sex marriage then the color should be purple.

Great video, but what's up with Poland?
In Poland, homosexual sex is legal. Only western media say: "Poland is evil", but in reality Poland is very good state. In Poland unborn children are protected and families from Norway run away to Poland. Polish people accept gays and what gays do in their homes. But polish people do not want pseudoliberal ideology.
Murders of unborn children, fans of euthanasia and homosexual "marriage" do not have chance in Poland! Poland is island of tolearation, life, family and love inside see of hate and murderers of children.
