- 120 Volt Fibropool FH 120 pool heat pump installed. Pool Heater that connects to a regular electrical wall outlet. Just a quick video showing the install it was very easy and works great! just plug into your outlet not no need to run 220V.

For under 350$ I heated my small 360 gallon pool up to 98 degrees using a cheep propane outdoor camping shower water heater, just wanted to see how warm I could get it, the steam was just rolling off of it on a 35 degree day lol, I normally kept it right around 83 into the colder months, just turned it on a good 4 hours before going in, made it nice and toasty. I only used the pool mostly for at home physical therapy and on occasion my younger nieces and nephews kids would enjoy a dip during a summer cookout. Granted I had to design a special box for it to keep things from freezing, a slightly higher PSI water pump and added an outdoor 120 volt google and alexa wifi enabled thermostat controller switch and encased all the hoses and pipes in insulated foam. Could also be ran off a 12 volt car battery during power outages, using a small inverter for the thermostat controller or just switch over to a 12 volt temp controller. When I'd finally break the pool down for winter, I'd use the water heater to keep my small outdoor waterfall/pond flowing right thru all the snow storms, steam coming off it like a London fog lol. But made for some very interesting looking ice flow creations around the edges.
My pool stays arouns 66-72 year round. 8000gal above ground. Gonna get this. Kids enjoy the cold water but i sure dont🤣
Wow, I wouldn’t even swim in it if it was that cold. Sounds like you really need a heater.
@@TheRandyMan yes forsure, pool stays in shade about 90% of the day too, between the house and all the trees🤣
@@TheRandyMan what was you initial start temp prior to heater install?
@@builtracingchannel6445 around 75 and I now keep the heater set to 85.
I need to use my above ground pool all year for exercise will this work for me?
hi. great video. may i ask how long does it usually take for u to come up to desired temperature? like a day or hours ? in a regular weather conditions. oh also how hot can it be. like can i go over 90 degree if i want to? thank u so much.
Look at the btus and see how many they use total. And it the use the equation of how many btus does it take to heat one lb of water and go from there
This is great. Looking for a propane one!
thanks
I assume the filter pump also has to be on for this to work? If pool pump gets turned off intentionally or accidentally i assume this heat pump will automatically turn off. Interesting in these but would need it running 24/7 to warm pool so that means need to run filter pump 24/7
Of course the pump has to be running for this to work...
How much does it add to your electric bill. We have an above ground pool. 10,000 gal. Thanks
Our electric bill did not go up much at all. I think it is like running a small window air conditioner.
How much did your electricity cost go up
No response of course
Help..the fittings for the heater are smaller than what is on my pol.
Thanks for the video! I have the same filter as you. Can you send me a list or links of the extra parts you needed for that specific filter? I’d greatly appreciate it!!
The heater comes with the adapters you need to connect it.
@@TheRandyMan TYSM! I do aquatic therapy for an old back injury & man it’s rough in 75 degree pool water and we’re about to hit July 😅
So you pump the water into the heater from the pump and then it goes directly to the pool from the heater?
It goes pool, filter, heater pool.
Thank you so much for the review. The link sends to a pool that says it is only good for up to 5000 gallons. Will this also work for a 10,000 gallon above ground? Thanks again.
My pool is 10,000 gallons and this works great for me.
@@TheRandyMan thank you!
2200 bucks for a heat pump. Ill swim in the cold water .
When a hot tub is like 5k to 10K it doesn't sound too bad to have a giant hot tub lol
Would it work with saltwater? thanks...
wow so cool!
Did you need any special adapter to hook up the intex hosing? I have a similar set up, but I know trying to find adapters can be a pain.
The heater came with adapters.
Really like to know how you got best way fittings to work with those fucking fittings
Is it waterproof? Like leave it outside ? Is it safe from rain??? Thanks.
Yes, it’s similar to a central air conditioner condenser.
Where can I get this heater
Here is the Amazon link for the heater. amzn.to/3tgvbKH
Just seeing this and I'm struggling to keep my above ground pool heated in MN, I do use a solar heater which is ok..just not warm enough. I have only one outlet on the deck so no dedicated outlet for a pool yet. How warm can you make it and how long does it take to heat up? Just plug it in? Has this worked pretty well for you seeing you have had this awhile now? How costly is this to run? Thinking of getting one.
It has really helped my pool. I keep it set at 85° and not only has it extended my swimming season. It is made me much happier. Without it I would not use the pool nearly as much because I hate a cold pool. Because it’s a heat pump it runs very efficiently so it’s really not bad for the electric at all at least for me. Good luck!!
@@TheRandyMan thank you, I appreciate it
@@TheRandyManHow many degrees would it heat up. Like 90?
Great video I have a 24'x 52' high pool will this heater work with that size pool, is around 13000 gallons.
Yes it should work fine. Mine is 10k gallons and works great!!
I have a 1700 gallon 12x30 pool. My sand filter is 2100gph. What is the turn over rate (gph) of the filter your using? The one heater I found was adequate but couldn't handle more than 750gph filter turn over or it would freeze up. Any suggestions? I want an electric pool heater 110v.
My filter is 2500gph
Do you know if there is a cheaper option that does a good job? I know you get what you pay for. Thanks
The problem is almost all pool heaters are going to run off at 220 and not 110 which is not standard so the expensive running the electric alone may help justify the cost
@@TheRandyMan Thanks
Will it stay warm enough to swim in winter time?
I think it depends on your winter. Winter down south maybe.
Hi! Can you send me a link of the pool heater you bought. Thank you!
Here is the link. amzn.to/3riBTTB
1:09 will it heat 75 to 90?
Cool video. How big is your pool I'm gallons?? I'm thinking it will work fine for my inground pool mine it's small. Also how warm does it really gets.?? Thanks
Mine is about 10,000 gallons. I keep it set at 85 degrees.
@@TheRandyMan great video! 85 degrees and 10k gallons that's impressive on a 110 outlet. What do you think about 20k gallons? I think it might be worth a shot plus my solar cover gives me no heat loss at night.
@@milleniumann28 it may help, but I am sure it will take longer to heat.
@@TheRandyMan I'm still on the fence I don't wanna waste 1500 get no results trying to extend my pool season by 2 weeks. Me and my wife actually got in yesterday and today at water temperature 74 degrees, if I can know this thing would knock off that initial cold shock and get it to 85 I'd go all in.
Do you think this will work for a 15000 gallon pool ?
What adapters did you use for your hoses since this requires 2" and intex are 1.5"? I'd like to take the same route as you and not pvc plumb it all. Thanks!
You should be able to use these connectors from Amazon. amzn.to/39m4Uow
Thank you!!
I live in Kentucky, my pool is 3500 gallons. March the average low is 40 and high is 68. Would this heater work in those conditions? I have a solar cover. My sand filter pump speed 2100/1600.
My guess is that it certainly seems big enough to handle the size. I would think it would work as long as you wait to run the heater until the air temp is around 60+ and use the cover to help keep the heat in at night.
how much was this heater
Did you have to add extra holes to the pool ? I have a summer waves pool just curious right now I have 2 holes the one into the filter and the one into the pool . just wanting to know whats involved in connecting to the pool.
No, you connect the outflow to one port and the inflow to the other so you should be good with two connections and the heater works great.
Is this heater really over $1500? That seems like a high price.
I will only use the pool when the water is in the 80's, so it is worth the price for me. Also, it extends the swimming season by 2 months.
Would this work on an inground pool?
I would think it would depend on how many gallons the pool is. My pool is about 10,000 gallons and it works good for that.
@TheRandyMan is a 11.5K Gallons. Thaks foe the info.
Up to how many gallon pool would you recommend???
Mine is 10k gallons and it works great for that.
Great thank you
I can’t find the brand in your bio. Can you please share with me?
Hi Kelly, Here is Amazon link to the heater. amzn.to/3tgvbKH
Can you use this heater for any brand pool
Yes mine it not an Intex.
Where did you get the additional hose ?
Buy it?
How did you figure out the electrical part?
I think you don't have to deal with that if its an above ground with a just a plug in outlet pump.
What is the hottest temp can set it to
You can set it in the 90’s.
Where can I get this heater?

We have pool hoses that may fit your pool. We can provide for free. Do you need?
Thanks, but i don't need them.
What is the name of the heater
It is a Fibropool. Here is the link on Amazon. amzn.to/3tgvbKH
Great video... Any idea where I can buy one? Amazon is out...
Where did you purchase heater

Its 120v , idk why people keep saying 110v-it would damage all you equipment
Decades ago it used to be 110 but most people understand what he means
What temperature does it go up to
I keep mine set to 85 and it would be in the 70’s without it, but you could go to 9” if you want.
Heater costs more than the pool 😅
FYI this product is banned for sale in California.
Why
1500$ they can shove it
