Man, Gotham is going to milk the hell out of this.
“Chess content creator is going to make a video about this very relevant chess event”
@@elmomierz A big part of it is the clickbait.
@@zachhaywood1564 the title of the video you’re commenting on is “the WILD final game between Magnus and Alireza”, and the thumbnail is literally a blown up picture of magnus reaching out at what looks like an Indiana jones photoshop of Alireza. It’s literally designed to look like a movie poster.
@elmomierz I mean GothamChess' videos are too clickbait-y. This video here is exactly as advertised.
@@zachhaywood1564 I think you’re just milking Levy for likes on your original comment
Alireza plays the game of chess with creativity in mind and does not go by the book. That is why he does not care if the position is known or not. True, he makes mistakes but this is also why the true spirit of chess is displayed when he plays it.
Bro, what are you talking about?? You are hilarious!!! Alireza clearly said in the post interview that he was throwing main lines at Magnus, where if you don't know your stuff and deviate, you lose.
Alireza clearly went by the book. 🤡
Obviously you have no understanding between mainlines and book moves, mainlines are a series of moves considered as the best by top players, and this can change overtime, mainlines can become sidelines and sidelines can become mainlines, but book moves are considered standard especially in opening theory, book moves are played only in the opening phase, mainlines are played in the middlegame, which is why after the last book move, the players are said to be "out of book" .
Also, besides what everyone said before me, I remind you Magnus is known for going off-book to throw opponents off.
@@divinity996 There's nothing creative about memorizing main lines. It pretty straightforward.
On form Alireza is scary, no one in the world was beating him tonight
I mean, Magnus blundered to miss the easy 4th game win.
@@jamesli2545 similar thing happened to Alireza in the last Chess Championship Tournament that happened in bracket reset, no excuses allowed, Alireza BODIED Magnus, its not like getting lucky for 1 game decides the next 3/4 games
@@JT11111 Alireza bodied him after he got tilted. I wouldnt say he was unstoppable, but he certanly outplayed magnus and deserves the win.
@@jamesli2545 tilt is an excuse to deflect from the better player winning, always, Magnus got “tilted” because he realised he’s not the better man tonight, and though he was winning game 4 Alireza still showed resilience that was unexpected by Carlsen and made him blunder
@@jamesli2545 oh common, Alireza only lose the first few games because he's tilted. See how easy to make the same excuse?
This is why Magnus said he wouldnt play the world championship unless its against Alireza. He holds him to high expectations. Glad to see Alireza finally showing some signs of life again. Last few times they played he didnt do too well ever since magnus basically said "Alireza is next up"
That’s the true form of Alireza❤ I just hope he starts playing like this in the candidates
the next suggested video is 'The Rise and Fall of Alireza' lol
i swear these videos are ridiculous just because alireza had a bad games for sometimes doesn't mean this guy is done or something every top player had a lot of the same thing and the same thing can be said about magnus he is washed up he should retire 😂 and still destroy every super gm the next day people should just calm down
The Rise and Fall and Rise of Alireza
Not only rise and fall but “tragic rise and fall” 😂😂
Congrats Alireza you showed and proved Played some Great Chess people should recognize
commentators so good
One of them, yes.
I think Tania can be a bit overbearing at times.
@@camsaffari could you do better than the other? Didnt think so
@@adka9473 Such a pre-school comment, doesn't make any sense at all...are you 7 years old or something? This response has always been the shittiest logic in the history of mankind and people like you still use it, wtf? It's pretty fucking obvious that one doesn't have to be better at something to recognize that someone else is performing poorly...
@@zachhaywood1564 One time (in another stream) she screamed so loud out of nowhere that it scared me for a second. I was genuinely pissed at her.
Alireza was like: Did. You. Forget. WHO. I. AM.
Kramnik : Interesting! I am gonna do the procedure.
lol
Wow! Amazing performance by Alireza! He was dead lost earlier in the match and pulled off a serious comeback! Congrats!
People like to mention that firouzja was losing in game 4 but forget that he was winning in that game at first before spoiling it. Mistakes happen in a blitz game, and in that game, magnus made the last mistake.
People really came down hard on Alireza because of his poor performance in the Candidates You don’t hear a peep out of any of the haters since he showed he is capable of Beating the Best there is
Yea but at the same time if you need to show up in a tournament it’s the Candidates. Respectfully, what are the stakes in this?
@@furstfr money and pride
@@furstfr you can see in Magnus’ face that he really truly wanted to win this. That alone says that this tournament meant something for these players.
The thumbnail pic is like;
*a wild MAGNUS appeared!*
Attack on titan
Laughed so hard at 12:57 - "Literally hair raising chess"
Where can you see the game without the commentary?
Alireza Firouzja Well done
when ali first started playing rapid tournaments online during covid, he wasn't winning anything. fast forward 4 years and he's the only player who has a prayer of hanging with magz consistently
It is funny how some people say that magnus did miss up firouza wasn't better than him but when someone misses up against magnus that because "magnus effect"
No one is more afraid of Alireza than Magnus. That is why Magnus wanted to compete with Alireza for the world championship
@cactusbet4355 definitely bot afraid, respectful yes. If the both bring their A+ game Magnus wins 8/10 times
awesome thumbnail! Who made?
In 1997 played 'Swifty' in chess and 'arch enemy SPDBALL' on MSN network with subzero avatar from states. Usually won. Many applied software.
Have I seen Magnus so helpless! Can't remember! Oh Ali Reza! You are like Muhammad Ali....the great boxer
@spghose2437 Magnus was due for a loss. He won 7 or 8 tournaments in a row. MVL did the same thing last year and we saw what happened in Toronto when it actually mattered 😆.
Magnus blew it. Plain and simple.
Thanks
totally amazing.
Great Game by Alireza he really showed up for these finals fantastic
Alireza, the whole world is proud of you, you are undoubtedly a future world champion!!!
Alireza: does first move
Naroditsky: This is completely winning! this time its obvious
@Astrovic1 something fishy was up imo. Felt like Naroditsky had an inside scoop that Magnus was going to throw this one on purpose, I could definitely be wrong though. Magnus also looked beat or hung over.
Way to go Alireza! ‼️‼️
I mean, who tf uses wallpaper anymore? Magnus' suite looks like my childhood bedroom from the '80s. 😂
He's in a hotel in morocco.
@@_adeniyi_ idc I'm on about the wallpaper.

Alireza has the ability to enrage Magnus like no one else 😅great games, kudos to both. Loved it!
@volodelcalabrone or Magnus let him have it and was doing his best poker face to fool the audience. He probably wants Ali in the Finals.
Magnus fans kind of quiet too 😂😂😂I mean not the usual Brouhaha from his fans which sickens me to my stomach Yes Magnus is the Greatest but too much from his so called followers
He's just so happy when he wins, hahaha. It's a joy to see. But the Magnus effect makes Firouzja's win here pretty sweet.
@michaelmassaro4375 Magnus was hung over or tired from playing teo tournaments so definitely not on his A game. Missed way too many tactics that he normally would see in his sleep, that or he was sandbagging and played it off like he wasn't. MVL beat Magnus this same way last year and we saw what happened in Toronto when it came to the big money.
They hired Hikaru to make the thumbnail
Loll😂
A good yield for the farmer!
Thumbnail definitely inspired from hikakaru youtube channel
Unlike Hikaru, Magnus is not arrogant!
Hikaru can't accept that hikaru isn't 120 elo better in classic. So, to compensate he is arrogant.
They are both arrogant
How is he arrogant? Maybe like 9 or 10 years ago
I don't see how that's relevant here 🤡
@@name6771 Hikaru can play vs chessmaster eleven, 10min+3.
In classical, Chessmaster 11 plays at a level of 2920 elo vs humans.
Sorry for Magnus🎉
Magnus’ punching and swearing at Alireza is really ill-manners!
Don’t worry, he was just out of form in the Candidates
There is difference between classical and rapid matches.
Or he is just an online player only... 😁
I said it before he is the only contender who could beat Magnus Carlson !! Go champ you proved yourself this tournament and it was awesome !!
Magnus looks like he had a party last night and alcohol didnt go the way he wanted it to
Let's go alirezaaaaaaaaa ❤
Alireza is Magnus's kryptonite.
Not really, maybe Duda or Pragg.
@gingerbread4801 alcohol the night before a tournament is Magnus' cryptonite. MVL did this exact same thing to Magnus and then we saw Magnus stomp everyone including MVL in Toronto. He was due for an L either way, the man's been winning every single tournament he's played in.
This mango guy lost in the prep against furitja
Magnus is probably hungover l…
is this nsw?
تبریک ، عالی بودی 🎉

if alireza plays like this in candidates, he finishes top 2 or 3. Maybe even wins. a shame he wasn't on form then, but glad to see him back now
I think playing like this was his main problem in the candidates!
Can't expect playing like you have white in a blitz Armageddon to work at the candidates !!
Stop comparing classical chess and these 10/15 min formats... Nobody would give him an opportunity to play like this in the candidates ))
Nah, he'd get bodied, totally different playstyle. But this proves that Guccireza has one of the best instincts for the game.
@@samandmax42 Sounds like recency bias to me. He's historically been great at classical too. won a few high profile tourneys as well. But he just has failed to take classical seriously lately, which is a shame.
Give him a rest guyss, he's gonna come back. He's just exhausted after 9 wins in a row
Magnus & Ian are absolute jerks in chess world! 😮
Why is this woman talking so much?
Alireza 🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷👍💪👌
Lets be honest out of form Magnus gifted Alireza the win.
Nice joke 😂
Magnus goat
ali is cheating
Third
dgh😂😅🎉😅😢😅🎉😅🎉😅😢😅🎉😅🎉😅😢
Hardly wild. Carlsen missed a crucial move and Firouzja didn't, after that he was in control of the game and found excellent moves to keep his initiative.
Dude just described the entire concept of chess.
@@TravelleroftheMicrocosmos And in his mind probably thought he made a solid point.

Don't read my name!
ok
You almost got me...
Magnus loses intentionally 😂😂
Yeah you're delusional
Preparedness beats the talent
Alireza has talent too
They didn’t played just one game so the better player today was who? Sounds weird to hear this as a competitor🤷♂️ sounds more like an excuse! I prefer the W
This wasnt prep , Alireza just outplayed Magnus period.
He cheated
Take that L
A terrible thumbnail, it looks horrendous
