It really is absurd that BMW would be imprecise. To distinguish the 4 and 8 series from the 3, 5 and 7 series Sports Sedans, the 4 and 8 series ought be marketed as Grand Touring Sedans.
Likewise the 2 and 3 series should be designated as sport coupes and the 4 and 8 series as Gran Touring Sport Coupes.

Sport back / 4 door coupe might save the sedan and wagon so I’m all for them if they do. I really like the rs7 look and rs5 sport back look. I think they perfected the big coupe look.

For the shades: press and hold the sunshade button on the driver door and it will raise and lower ALL sunshades.

The Gran Coupe is my favorite BMW. Just the right size and presence.

The exhaust sound setting in iDrive actually controls the flaps as well. It is new for 2020 models.

I think people are generally hard on BMW because we know what they are capable of doing, but this time around I must admit they killed it. Can’t wait to see how the M8 tops this.

I have a 650 m pack gran coupe. Can’t ever go wrong with a 4 door. Used to have an older M6. Two doors got old quick. Best of both worlds with this

4-Door coupes are where it's at. Coupes can be such a hit or miss with the quarter panel design cuz you're missing an entire door that would otherwise be there. 4-Door coupes on the other hand have the sporty shape and more storage space (in many cases) without the seating space drawbacks of an actual coupe.

I don't know why but this brings me back to the 90's with the rear hatchback design.
I bought a pair of Piolti shoes this summer. I really like them when I am driving my MR2. My car has a smallish set of pedals and they make driving better. Not a paid plug, but they are good shoes. Mine are like the old Martini Racing colours.
Do you like them better than your other shoes for doing other stuff? Or mainly just driving?
OfficialHoneZtAbe they are ok for walking around. There is not a lot of padding in the soles. But they are the best for driving. Not very good for winter in Alberta.

I like the 8 Series Gran Coupé but in my opinion I like my 6 Series Gran Coupe still a bit more in terms of looks from the inside and outside.

...love your show guys, awesome content...I just love this #BMW sounds and styling, the dash looks too much like Japanese motors...BMW must innovate uniquely...maybe back to real wood trims like walnut etc...the M series is just awesome!
Of course this is not a cheap car but pricing is relative. This is a luxury GT car. Its competitors are: Porsche Panamera V8, Mercedes AMG GT 63, Audi RS7, Maserati Gran Turismo, Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin DB 12. All of them are more expensive.
In terms of reliability, the only competitors on par with this BMW are the Mercedes and the Audi.
Considering we can get a low mileage, impeccable unit for £50k , this is a great buy!

4-door coups in general are looking amazing, although I just call the sedan/saloon cars.
My favorite 4 door coupe is the Model S. Someone needs to make a video comparing the Model S, RS7, GT63S 4 door, Panamera Turbo S E Hybrid, and the BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe. I really want to see how they stack up!

Surprised you fellas haven’t hit 1m yet.
Test drove this car. My absolute favorite out of the German super sized 4 door cars. It’s still a drivers car even this big and that is what separates BMW from the other 3. Porsche has totally lost its focus and is cruising on its older reputation.
You guys should make a comparison videos between the 8 series and 6 series coupe.
I live in Toronto and there are alot more of these on the road then I expected

Big fan of the 4 door saloon/sedan. Own a 340i after a long history of hot hatches and prefer the lines of a saloon. Never used to think that a few years ago but tastes change lol
