Iceberg gets a bad reputation. It is excellent for you and affordable. Not to mention, it is hydrating.

I never understood why people claim certain veggies have zero value like iceberg lettuce. I've also heard similar myths about celery and how it takes more energy to digest than the calories it contains (which has been proven to be a myth). Honestly I'd rather bulk up on veggies like this than bacon.

If you were to compare both in equal portions the Iceberg is not a nutritionally dense as the darker greens. Iceberg still has a good amount of nutrition though! It is crisper for sure. I like to mix the two types, light and dark greens.

Salad looks yummy! Yes, Garbanzo beans cause stomach gas mainly due to the thin skin that’s on the bean, so I remove it. I can’t eat store bought hummus for that reason. I always remove the skins before I sauté garbanzo beans or make hummus. The skin feels like a thin piece of soft plastic, it’s no wonder they’re hard to digest.

Her voice has changed quite a bit but not in a bad way and she still looks practically the same, just really aged gracefully. I hope I age like that. Then again so much media these days is easily heavily photo shopped/edited and daily make up is automatically basically stage make up with all kinds of contouring, etc.

She has done things to her face and I wonder if it wouldn’t look better without it and better with some wrinkles. Her face still looks old but isn’t moving as other naturally aged faces. It looks “unsmiling“ and stiff. Also the heavy make up here isn’t suiting her. Look up Audrey Hepburn, that’s what I would call aging gracefully.

It depends on when you live. Eating a healthy salad isn’t as expensive as we think. But if you live in a place where these ingredients are imported I would understand it being expensive
@@Honey-rp6zx it is imported and expensive af. Salad here is obviously a privileged dish. The prices of the veggies are costly. One piece of lettuce (100-150 g) costs $0.75 which is expensive here.
Thank you Jennifer. A simple little salad, nothing to dislike at all. You sprinkled a little cheese into the salad, it looked like a Cheddar of some sort? I’ve discovered a beautiful crumbly but creamy tasting Greek Feta which I’m sprinkling over everything at the moment, it tastes great. All that’s needed is a drizzle of good oil and a squeeze of fresh lemon. And Wallah! Thank you for sharing your recipe.

Well, it's mainly water and doesn't have many vitamins or minerals. Specifically, if you compare it to other types of lettuce like Romaine or if you compare it to something like spinach.

cause other people do it then preach to be yourself, love yourself the way you are and you should feel beautiful. Which then makes people, especially those with a strong/public social media presence, lowered self esteem due to age or whatever else and/or constantly seeing these standards pushed in the media they consume. As well as what their peers are pushing on them. People often comment like "Do you know why you ___" and proceed to disrespect the person they're asking a question by asking why one of their perfectly normal features is something they have cause they think it's weird for them to have. Then they go and feel like they need to be fixed to feel beautiful for themselves, to feel correct to be seen. Cause it's hard to love yourself when you don't look like what others are telling you to love. Or just vanity or whatever who knows.

I think that’s what she was trying to point at - the fact that the salad she used to eat every day had very little nutritional value.
I think she was hinting at the fact that everyone on social media made her daily salad out to be much healthier than it actually was
You do understand that cheese and bacon have protein for muscle health and fat for hormonal health, right? Iceberg lettuce is mostly water, which is also great, but you can drink water.
Yeah, with the cheese, and bacon, you forgot to mention the turkey, and the high fat, and high sodium salami. Nevermind about her noting the lack of nutrional value of iceberg lettuce. There's just way too much meat in her salad, for it to be considered healthy. I add chicken to a caesar salad. And a can of tuna to any salad, including pasta. Very healthy, and yummy!

Meat can easily be replaced with Tofu/ Tempeh/ Chickpeas/ Red Kidney beans/ Navy beans/ Lentil/ Green Peas for similar protein nutrition minus the animal cruelty and risk of long term illnesses, spiked cholesterol levels and heart diseases 🙏🏼

It's not that "she's aged" that explains what looks different about her. She looks great but to me there looks something off about her nose. Am I the only one that thinks that the bridge of her nose looks slightly swollen and dark? Her voice sounds a little nasally too. It looks like an injury of some sort.
