Thank you Tara Leigh and team for praying for us. I feel your prayers, this is my second year with the bible recap and I my eyes are opening more and more.
Regarding Jesus standing, when I was reading I was imagining it was because he was overjoyed at the boldness of Steven who knows he is going to get killed too but he didn't care to defend himself, on the contrary he is telling them the truth in their faces, highlighting how much envy and idolatry was in their hearts by the things he highlighted in the stories. I think of Jesus like "no way he is telling them in their faces.... he is doing it... and he doesn't care that they gonna kill him....!" Jesus cannot hold his emotions and stands up as when we are watching a game or something that is about to end.... and then Jesus is also like with arms open and inviting him and maybe jumping like "come here no worries you gonna be so happy here with me"
That's my crazy imagination while I was reading this. Yes I know that's none of the theologian positions but, yes, I think he just love us with so much intensity that it may as well be that escene.
I wanted to thank you that I think my capacity to understand has been growing. I'm not a thinker, I always fell into the side of more thoughtless to my regret. But now I'm learning how to think, though I'm almost 50, it's never too late with God and he recovers what the locust and the cankeworm have eaten.
