Agreed, guards will still see you pretty quick if you're directly in front of them, but you can still slip through their peripheral vision easily enough.
Have not tried the weapons but they feel satisfying. The heist pays too little in my opinion relative to the time spent. I knew, going into it, that I wouldn't get the full 10m, but just getting 1.2 is a little sad.

In terms of fun or payout? I don't remember the payout. In terms of fun, I think it's probably... Loud: Houston Breakout Boys in Blue Fear and Greed Syntax Error The biggest problem with Syntax Error and Fear and Greed is just that they're really hard. You're constantly harassed by endless waves of enemies and can hardly even move until the wave ends. I think Syntax Error might be my favorite "challenge", but I don't think it's well designed or casually appealing because their solution seems to be to just dial everything up and put you in a mostly open space. People largely resolve it by either camping in a few spots or running in circles around the map, avoiding fights entirely. Fear and Greed has crazy spawns. There's always something in your face. It does the same thing but encourages pure camping mainly. Boys in Blue has a lot more movement and general engagement. It's also pretty quick which is nice. It feels like a very balanced and fair map that's maybe slightly on the easy side. Houston Breakout is the most fun to me of them all. Yes, it involves lots of camping in the evidence room, but it's justified because you're actually doing something there and the room itself is fun to defend. The rest of the heist has a fair amount of movement and defense in just the right spots and it never feels like it's trying to screw you over too much. You always get a shot to attack and defend from almost any area of the map. Stealth: Boys in Blue Syntax Error Houston Breakout Fear and Greed Boys in Blue is easy to explain. It's quick, easy, fun and feels rewarding. In and out in a few minutes with lots of cool loot. Perhaps a bit on the simple side though, as there's little to talk about. It reminds me of No Rest for the Wicked in terms of how it feels to play. The part about bugging things just feels like padding to make the heist seem artificially more complex than it is. Syntax Error is a great stealth heist because it's maybe one of the funnest heists to navigate, particularly with all the vents and semi-open design on the bottom floor with a few taped off areas and so on. Flow is really the selling point here, and there's lots of loot to take home. The main drawback is that it can feel a lot longer than it is due to being done downstairs away from an easy exit. It makes it feel superficially longer dragging all those servers back upstairs and into the van. Houston Breakout is kinda good. Many neat ideas leading up to the loot. But when you get to the loot, you're just sitting in an unopposed room scanning it for like 5-10 minutes and then another 5 moving it. Like, what is this? Did they playtest it? It's good in loud but weird in stealth. Fear and Greed. Immediate forced mask up and no bags? Lots of waiting for no real gameplay reason? Doesn't make much sense in stealth and not that fun unless you just want to AFK or chat with friends while waiting for the heist to complete. Same problem as Houston Breakout, but with even less satisfaction. It's also just a little frustrating to be honest and the reward's a bit ass. Some of these heists were quite close. It was really hard to decide on an exact ranking and I feel like I kind of want to swap a few around even right now. Sorry for the late reply by the way, I've been gone for a few months.
In the loadout menu, look for the "cosmetic" button on the bottom of the interface. The paint is gold chrome and you can even put it on masks and stuff, too.

Sometimes they do say things, but somehow aren't alerted. It's easy to write off as buggy design, but I think you have a plausible explanation.
