Be sure to visit Russia. Come for a visit. And there is no need to be afraid of winter. We don't walk around naked in winter. :) It's great when every year you get all the delights of nature, there are both cold winters and hot summers. There is harmony in this. I would go crazy if, for example, there was no snow in winter. :)
Come and visit. Come in winter. Winter is a magical time of the year. A special beauty is when you go out in the morning, a slight frost of -15 or -20 Celsius, the sun is shining, the snow shimmers and sparkles under the sunlight. For example, I like to go out late at night to walk my dog in the park, during a snowfall, lie down in a snowdrift, look at the sky from which snowflakes are flying. Pure happiness. Nature does not have bad weather, there are only unsuitable clothes.

Pray that Putin lives long for if someone like Nav alni y comes to power the unity of Russia could be in trouble. It took 20 years for Putin to pull Russia out of the total collapse, lawlessness and economic stagnation. Younger generations see the world through the screens of their gadgets and that is a dangerous thing. War, starvation and devastation are unknown to them.
In future I think the USA and EU are far more likely to fall into turmoil and disunity due to idiotic leadership and increasing corruption. Putin’s Russia even if he passes on the torch of leadership to others is far likely to succeed in future simply because Russia doesn’t have insane political and cultural trends which exist in West.

10-point instruction on how to become Russian and obtain Russian citizenship.1. You have to be human. 2. You should have a normal family. 3. You have to be hardworking. 4. You should know a little Russian language and culture. 5. You must be honest and sincere. 6. You must be either a man or a woman, there is no third gender in Russia. 7. You must love freedom. 8. You must remember your ancestors. 9. You should be proud of Russia. 10 . You must love the sauna and the snow. If you are ready to sacrifice this, congratulations, you are a real Russian.

Very informative video Sam. It's quite easy to get Temporary Residency Permit (TRP) in Belarus. All you have to do is get a company to sponsor/employ you, you can them apply. I renew mine every year and it's no hassle. To get Permanent Residency, you have to be in Belarus 5 years and then apply. However this has to be renewed every 5 years. Getting Belarusian citizenship is more tricky as Belarus does not allow dual nationality unlike Russia.
@@SamsRussianAdventures Same here 😂 BTW I am waiting for them to change the law or perhaps in the future when a possible Union State 🇧🇾🇷🇺citizenship maybe on offer.
But how do Belarus control that you really had renounced your citizenship? In Russia there were a rule that you should send a letter to the embassy of your citizenship and ask then to renounced your citizenship, you should send this letter as a registered letter and show the receipt from the post office to the authority's, many just send a letter saying something like "Merry Christmas" and they had the needed receipt.
Married to a Russian and failed the language exam twice I suck at languages :) having kids is the next option to obtain residency to avoid the language exam
I think it is also very possible for people with Christian values, from western countries like Canada, to qualify for Temporary Asylum, because our government has gone bonkers, we can actually get charged criminally if we misgender someone, or what ever they deam as hate speech. That could be a path way to citizenship as well. I know they gave the Country Side Acres family Temporary Asylum.
@@SamsRussianAdventures I can no longer eat anything with flour in it because it is made with GMO wheat and my body rejects it. I will probably use that and religious reasons, to claim temp asylum, then go the compatriot policy route. I will have to choose from the designated areas, they have chosen for that policy. I know they are amending The Compatriot Policy this October to make it easier to qualify.
@@SamsRussianAdventures They'd be silly not to help them. Russia needs large families and that family are about as large and highly functional as families get. Asset to Russia and those kids will be speaking perfect Russian before you know it.
Yes. We even helped them financially as much as we could. They have 9 children. And it wasn't easy for them. But now everything is gradually working out. Perhaps they will soon receive citizenship. But you can learn Russian. At least practice using the Pimsleur method. There are only 90 lessons of 30 minutes each, learn to speak Russian fluently and communicate on almost any topic.
Зачем я смотрю это видео?😂 I'm Russian, was born and raised in Russia, only went abroad on trip. But thank you for the video, it's fun to watch! Your friend's house looks awesome ❤
I'm glad to hear you bring up the topic of bringing a gift to your host's home. I always wonder what is an appropriate gift and how much to spend. I would imagine you don't want to spend too much so it doesn't appear you are showing off. Sam, I would really like to know about financial matters. Specifically, how would an expat have access to their money from another country. Say, an expat has a pension or even military retirement. With all the sanctions and a lot of the world convinced Russia is the bad guy, how would one ensure they have access to their money? You can only fly over with so much stuffed in your socks!
It’s possible to send money to the Austrian bank, Raifheisen. They are still operating in Russia. There are always new ways and possibilities. Another is a system similar to western union called Torfx. With gifts it all depends on the people. If you bring anything from back home they will be very pleased. Box of chocolates, flowers, cake for dessert, bottle of something
As a Russian citizen, are you entitled to any benefits, such as statutory sick pay, health care, pension, unemployment benefit, child benefit? As a resident or citizen, are you protected by employment laws, is there redundancy pay, unfair dismissal, accident at work compensation, minimum wages, compulsory breaks etc…. Perhaps it’s not a question that can be answered here fully, but perhaps an idea for a follow on video? If someone is to move abroad permanently, these things need to be considered and if necessary arrangements made to mitigate any unforeseen circumstances.
Payments during illness are available, their size depends on how long you worked in Russia (everything is a little complicated there). Medical care is free in public clinics, if you have a compulsory health insurance policy (ОМС), this policy can be obtained free of charge if you have citizenship (as well as for refugees and persons with a residence permit). When a job is cut, the employer, as far as I remember, must pay full wages for 2 months (after that, payments are reduced). If you have two children born in Russia, then there is a one-time relatively high payout (“maternity capital”), and child benefits are not high. But in general in Russia you shouldn’t count on living on benefits; in Russia you need to work.
Sam, you are consistently putting out great content. This video was another hit, but I really enjoyed the moments from the BBQ with your friends. You all play footy made me smile. Keep it up.
Your friend has a beautiful home. I became a Greek citizen last year, following a similar route to you, with a written greek language examination covering topics, geography, history, politics and culture. I agree it makes dealing with bureaucracy much easier, being a citizen of the country.
I live in Krasnodar and this is the best thing for me. I was born and raised in the Urals, it is also beautiful, but there is little warmth. I also love Sochi, but there is expensive housing, so I only go on vacation. Come to Russia with us, we are mentally 🤗🤗🤗
Three questions for you please: 1. Are there fees like golden passports sometimes have? Big not tiny stuff. 2. Is Russian language proficiency required at entry level level? 3. Health care and access to health care. Is it readily available for major concerns like heart, cancer et al? Thank you. Note: we are not poor. We are retired. We are interested in high end apartments near cultural centers in Moscow. Not rural.
At the moment, marriage to a Russian is not a reason for simplified acquisition of citizenship. From October 26, 2023, this law was finalized. Now the basis can only be a common child and provided that your spouse is a citizen of the Russian Federation
It’s a reason for residency, though they are now changing it and the new law will mean that they must be married for 2 years before the right to apply for residency
@@SamsRussianAdventures I haven't read about this yet. I would prefer visitors from Europe (Europeans!) instead of thousands of migrants from Central Asia and Transcaucasia. In this case, Russia begins to follow the path of Europe, which, unfortunately, is heading towards decline.. 💯

My Parents would kill me if I revoked my citizenship!
@@SamsRussianAdventures Same here 😂 BTW I am waiting for them to change the law or perhaps in the future when a possible Union State 🇧🇾🇷🇺citizenship maybe on offer.
@IrishPartizan - Yes aye, great informative video.
Iran does not recognise dual nationality either.

I think they felt pressured to help countryside acres. They said they were not ready for the exam but they knew about it for a long time.

Hi, there are so many things you are entitled to. You can ask your questions here and they will answer without charge. forms.gle/cyx4ah2F1BN3geQB7
