    THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR BLACK PANTHER. This could have gone SOOO WRONG. You characterized him as a rational, reasonable and logical character. He wasn't jut a badass who happened to be black. He was a truly realised character. Seriously, the final scene with him and Zemo just solidified his character. He evolved into a man of justice not vengence. He actually won the battle of morals in that movie.

    These directors worked so hard making Civil War to the point they made the best movie of the MCU. They balanced suspense, humor, action and depth perfectly in Civil War. Congratulations on your success, Russo Brothers!

    People always want characters killed off in order to increase tension or stakes but Civil War did the best job at it. Killing characters is way trickery with comic characters because you are potentially killing a franchise that can be enjoyed or on the other hand, killing off a character with everyone knowing that they'll be back (cough* cough* superman) is also a waste.

      +Flip.555 showing balls in movies ain't that far from showing balls in actual life - that's not exactly a sight to behold and not everyone likes them shoved up their throats, lol.
      In all seriousness - Russos said it a multiple times - there are people who watch movies only because of one character. Alienating any audience that way ain't that far from "I don't give a shit about audience whatsoever" (*cough* Snyder *cough*). These movies are supposed to be entertaining for people, not to be the display of somebody's ego.

    • @INFORSER666
      @INFORSER666 8 років тому +6

      Егор Зворыкин I don't think art and entertainment are THAT different. Russos have a lot of creativity on display, it just never comes off like they do it for the sake of doing it - nor they do it just to please the audience.
      Not every "art" has a value either. Someone makes painting with his own shit - art by definition, shit in perspective.

    • @Betoven81
      @Betoven81 8 років тому

      +Михаил Затрутин Hey man I don't know what shit hole of a country you're from but where I'm from the Batman Superman did great. It was an intelligent film that far surpasses all these little "marvel" ones you been accustomed. Instead of misquoting Snyder and using it as a platform to get your point across, come to the realization that the Batman Versus Superman is the best thing you will experience in a movie theater, by far.

    These guys deserve a break. As much as I know how much they love doing what they do, they and the writers have been working nonstop. Props to everyone involved in this film, very good with a lot of thought put into it. The Russo Bros. really understand these characters and where to take them story-wise and how to handle their action sequences. Very good directors

    "Psychological thriller." Yep. Because the entirety of zemo's plan hinges on a correct read of the psychology of his two targets: Stark & Rogers. All of his manipulations hinge on a good psychological read of Stark and Roger's motivations and character. Moreover, most of the follies of the two mentioned characters are hinged on the fact that they're in emotionally vulnerable places in their life. Stark's girlfriend just left him. Roger's "best girl" just died. They both make dumb decisions because well, they're not the best versions of themselves.

    I really liked the way they tackled the character death question. Sure, there're a lot of behind-the-scenes considerations on lost profits vs. often bemoaned lack of stakes; but this is the situation where it would have been an easy way out.
    Can't help recalling the end of Arrow season 1: I'd been so looking forward to how a certain character would deal with learning hard truths about two of his closest people, that the writers' decision felt like a personal offence and a huge nail in the coffin of my interest in the show.
    So happy the Civil War turned out the way it did!

    I had a answer for 13:10 I would have loved if the movie started with the bucky scene how it was originally edited, but then cut to the tony scene, after the mother talks to him, cut to the avengers about to fight crossbone. I think it would have gone a just bit smoother. it makes sense after you see the movie.

I can't really take that seriously when the doctor death scene, it just hilarious seeing that they just gonna save their time in production stage and took the director to be in the movie and also Anthony's wife for Zemo's wife voice, it's really fun with all this fun facts.

      and it's been Joe that we see each time in particular and not Anthony because when they were just beginning trying to break into film any way they could back in the Chicago days, Joe was originally pretty much just as interested in acting as he was directing whereas Anthony was perfectly content just behind the camera. I think this sort of dynamic between them has still always shone thru to this day, given that Joe is typically the one to more easily lean into being more vocal and animated than the somewhat shier Anthony. But they've always been in total lock step with their senses of humor, the drier and pitch black sarcasm (note the resume for Arrested Development and Community).

      +Mic Morgan Yeah I noticed.. and it's kinda weird how companies can limit a movie's full potential because of a limited budget. I do know that Avengers: Age of Ultron is the most EXPENSIVE Marvel movie ever made, because of all the effects of the Ultron robots and etc.. that scene was definitely spectacular though

    • @rtasi2000

      R. Tasi they just said the film was done in a captain America budget not an avengers budget. Mcu solo film are usually less expensive because their are fewer high profile actors to pay.

    • @rtasi2000
      @rtasi2000 8 років тому

      Mic Morgan still doesnt change the fact they both had the same budget. google states they both cost 250 million to make

    • @micmorgan84
      @micmorgan84 8 років тому

      R. Tasi that 250 was split up differently since RDJ was not contracted to do this film a lot of the budget that would go into other parts of production such as vfx was used to pay him upfront instead of him getting points on the backend which he usually does which is why he makes like 40 million a movie cause he knows the movies will sell like hot cakes.

    Liars. Disney/Marvel forced them to push Civil War out, and it's all because the company feared Batman v Superman. Seriously, before Civil War it was just Captain America 3, which would have included a redemption arc for Bucky judging by the details. There should have been a whole phase devoted to Civil War. I preferred Black Panther over Spider-Man. The latter felt tacked on in comparison. It's not a psychological thriller at all. It's a drama, and a poor one at that. One of three things happened: 1. The Russos are lying out of their butts. 2. Captain America: Civil War was shot as a psychological thriller but edited into a drama. 3. They have no idea how to make a psychological thriller. The collateral damage aspect feels like some sort of retcon in the final film. Funny thing is that the MCU is terrible when it comes to stakes. Even in Infinity War, stakes aren't truly felt until the finale.
