I remember shooting 35mm slides years ago and using anti-glare, non-reflective glass to hold down the paper, magazine, or book. Worked really well and the results were excellent.
This CZUR gadget looks impressive. Thanks for covering it for us, and thanks to CZUR for sending it to you. Scanning a 530+ page document is WORK! and that's no matter how good the equipment is. This sure made it look a lot easier.
LOL. Thank for watching even though you have seen others talk about it. Did any others scan in a Computer Shopper or similar item? I hadn't seen anyone do that yet, and I was hoping this would be different from others.
I picked up a CZUR ET18 Pro refurbished off eBay and am very happy with it. It does OCR so you can search and cut and paste from the PDF. I have an old LiDE scanner, still around somewhere I stopped using it because my model was stuck on XP drivers, there was some kind 3rd party paid app that would let you use it on newer OS's
It would take me days to page through the latest issue of Computer Shopper looking for the best deal on computers and computer parts. Sadly one just doesnt find a complete pdf archive of these like you can other computer magazines of the day. I wonder why?????? 😁 I dumpstered my nearly complete collection up to about 1997 many years ago. 😔
Great video. I've seen other videos on similar products (I don't remember if they were CZUR) but yours is probably the best. At $441.32 (after 15% discount), I am very tempted. But do I really need it? The Canon LiDE is cheap enough to just go for it, though there are a lot of different models besides the 30 and it's causing some indecision on my part.
Wow, 6-7 pages/min is fast, especially with OCR turned on (as it seems when browsing through the pages)! Would the use of a glass plate to push down the pages result in too reflective scans? Thanks for the test!
Czur scanners destroy shading. It looks like they did it on the Lyco ads on the illustrations. The cotts could easily be fixed if it just allowed you to combine two scans with fingers in different positions. They haven't fixed these things for years.

That's a good idea. Glare is really awful in the shack.

Wow. I remember Computer Shopper. I always had the latest copy and spent so much time going over every page. Thanks for the video. Nice job.
you know you made it when you do your CZUR episode. ive watch this commercial about 6 times already

Great Video. It's nice to have different scanning methods as a simple comparison. Very helpful in choosing.
Great episode! Extremely informative by communicated choices. Well done. Thank you.
Great video. All them are great. Thanks for all the hard work

9:50 - Is 'scissor' the right pronunciation? I've been saying 'Caesar'.

Unless you are looking for portability, I would recommend the newer models. They will have higher DPI.
I worked at CompUSA, RadioShack, and Tandy! 😱😁🤪🤣👍👍🇺🇸

Great video. Helped me decide to purchase this. Unfortunately the discount code is not working. Any ideas?
Czur must have removed it. You might want to search for a more recent video and see if they have a working code.
Thanks for the quick reply. Again great video.

Some of the images also have a noticeable heavy unsharp mask artifact. One is the UltraStor card.
