I just did my first French seams ever! It was tricky because it was difficult to tell the difference between the right and wrong sides of my fabric. Even though I knew what to do, it felt so wrong and confusing, but it turned out beautiful! Thank you for the quick tutorial. I needed the reminder of the width of each step of the seaming.
I just attempted french seams for the first time. I wish I would have watched this video first! So easy to follow. Thanks!
Thank you Lucy! Always good to be reminded about the importance of pressing!
Thanks Judie and absolutely, it is so important and makes such a difference to the finish you get.

I have done a french seam once and it's a beautiful finish
Couldn't agree more and it is nice and simple to sew too.
Helpful esp 're fabric choice for fr seam. Would like to see how you do this with sleeve insertion.
Thanks Gary a couple of people have asked for this I think so I must try and get round to a video on that for you all.
Thanks so much for that! I finally get it!
Yay! So glad it was helpful to you.
Loving your channel, I have just found you.
Nice neat finish and helpful but not convinced it would be easy to do inserting shirt sleeves .
Thanks Bill, I've done it on blouses and it worked beautifully, but you could always use it in other areas on your shirts.
Do you need to adjust your seam allowances for the garment to account for the original 1/4 inch seam?
Not if your seam allowances are 5/8" because the original 1/4" plus the subsequent 3/8" equals 5/8" hope that makes sense.
Sew Essential Yes, thanks!
Couldn’t find a seam marker foot for singer. Do you stock one?
We don't stock Singer machines or parts I'm afraid. Sorry.
