It's so mind blowing that we even have to start over having this conversation again. Maybe we can revisit that?" No, dumbass. Triangular tires are stupid. We figured that out the first time someone rolled a round object.

      Explained it this way to my kids. Some people are hateful of others for not being like them. Skin color, religion, etc. Morally I'm responsible for teaching my kids not to had anyone, especially not on the basis of them being different. However, it is not my responsibility to condition my child to grow up and view the most violent, criminal, and harmful groups of people as somehow being victims of my child's lineage. It's not hard to figure out why they want me too. Not hard to control a generation of kids who's parents were terrorized into teaching them that they owe these people something for no reason and that they're evil if they don't pay up.

    I have seen racism before.
    The woman was white and the two guys were minorities. The woman at the gas station refused to give them cigarettes because their IDs didn’t look right. She explained this, and after they tried to manipulate her into giving her what they wanted, she asked them to leave. At that moment, they started harassing her, pulling out phones and filming, saying, “This refuses to sell us cigarettes because we’re .” They horribly cursed her out until they left, insisting she was a racist.
    Racism comes in all colors sadly. 😞

    • @mountainmama2101
      @mountainmama2101 Рік тому +8

      Stupid comes in all colors, but these guys would win a prize in ignorance and manipulation. This kind of behavior is one reason, along with the multiple news stories where someone alleged called some body a slur (Jesse Smollett, Rachel Richardson, Amari Allen) and people get their panties in a twist and then it comes out that the entire incident was made up. It's like the little boy who cried "wolf", keep it up long enough and eventually no one will believe you if it does happen for real.

But the stories the media tries to put forth as racist are the most ridiculous stories. I swear every single story I hear about “racist cops”, they criminal was threatening them with violence, has a criminal record, stuff like that. It’s always the criminals that are “innocent” in their eyes because it furthers their agenda if that’s how they report it

I also tell them that even though people may treat them poorly or hate them because they're white doesn't mean that they are inferior. I teach them to rise above, work hard, stand up for themselves and not to play the victim or feel bad for themselves because of it. I'm also beginning to feel that I may have to start having conversations with them about sexual orientation and gender discrimination because they are not only white but straight and cis-gender as well. I always hate that premise of blacks that say that they have to have a special conversation with their kids about what to do and not do when they get stopped by a police officer. They really believe that we don’t have to tell cops what we are doing. My very white husband worked nights and was on his way home one morning and got pulled over for speeding. This was 40 years ago. He told the police officer that he had to reach under the front seat to retrieve his billfold. The cop told him that he really appreciated him telling him that since it would have been an usual move. It was common sense. I did the same thing when I went to retrieve something from my glove compartment, even though it wasn’t unusual, just to make the office aware of what I was doing. Better to keep the officer comfortable and this was way before most of this nonsense started. Like I said, it has always been common sense. You aren’t teaching your kids things they need to do because of their race, you are teaching them common sense.

The laughing and dancing was kind of shocking, but the lack of response from the authorities (in the building they had come out of and I was going into) was a huge wake up call.
