This is really helpful! I searched for this difference, where to put things digitally or on paper. Sadly I only came across videos showing different journals or apps online, but what goes where is just too short. Now I just need to figure out, how I can combine those tips for my work life and my personal planning. As a former student, I used paper all the time, but know that I'm in the workforce, paper isn't cutting it anymore all the time. When I need to share my todo list with my boss, I'm doing double the work with keeping up on my task and writing them down. I think I will need to use digitally: calender, inbox tasks, project tasks, blocking time frames to work on things and collections On paper, I will use: Quartely overviews, goals, monthly big events and weekly / daily detailed todos, extracted from the digital world. I just love my sticker collections too much, to let it collect dust, so I will always use paper in some kind of way :) Hybrid to go!
This is a great idea! I think I've been locked in a black or white mindset of paper vs digital without thinking how to use them in harmony like you suggest. Worth a try for me!
This is great! I was weighing the good and bad between one or the other. Now I know how to make them both work. My anxiety level just decreased. Thank you!
I'm thrilled to hear that you found the solution you were looking for! Finding a way to make both options work can be a relief, and I'm glad I could help lower your anxiety 😉 You got this!!
I've been struggling with this for a while and I accidently discovered this video! Perfect. Not implemented yet but got my starting point and ideas. Thank you.
My criteria for what goes on my monthly calendar is: if I’m planning a vacation, would I plan around this event? If so, it goes on the monthly calendar.
this is so helpful.... I have tried to go fully digital but the tasks and to do's I just can't get on top of them digitally.... this absolutely seems like it would be so much better...
I'm glad to hear that you found this helpful! Transitioning from paper to digital can indeed take some time, but it can offer great benefits in terms of organization and accessibility 🙌
I was literally searching for this exact topic yesterday! I’m finishing up planning our homeschool year (a little late, but oh well), and this seems the perfect solution for balancing my shared digital calendar with my husband and my paper homeschool planner. Now I just have to figure out how to seamlessly incorporate Trello with them into a nice trinity, lol!
I have to be hybrid due to work, and I know generally 9 to 5, Mon to Fri is work. At work my Oulook is governs my working day and for personal I am in a paper system (my preference). I use my paper planner for my day to days - home and work, (the handwritten word clicks in my brain better) and I always have a note on my paper planner - in a montgky view to see where I'm located each day so I can plan morning routines, lunches, dinners, evening events etc when I am working out what my upcoming couple of weeks look like. I am also now learning Notion as a task list / project database tool, both for home and work.
Thank you. I have been trying to figure out a hybrid system to use both without duplication. I have decided on paper for everything apart from the work i do on the computer. So email follow up tasks, webpages and research tasks on digital, plus work stuff. I am a one woman band and don't have others booking my time, only me so don't need that amount of flexibility in my calendar. xx

You can do it! 🩷
I guess the tasks that i need to write digitally are the ones that need to be in a time blocked
Absolutely! Time blocking can really help you stay focused and organized 😉
This was so helpful! I have always been a paper girl but need to do a digital calendar. I keep trying!

It's wonderful how things align sometimes! Synchronizing digital and paper planners can be a game-changer, especially in homeschool planning. 💖😉

Thanks for sharing! I totally agree-there’s something about handwriting that just clicks differently 🙌

I live in outlook for my job as a supervisor for meetings and Job tasks but also have 2 girls with sports and school work to use paper planner for.
This is a great video for you to master synchronizing both! 💖 You got this!!

Paper planner with notebook type, but also using a one calendar for whole family to write down places, appts, activities on.
Love that!
Thank you for plenty of meat and less side dishes. It’s tough to find content that doesn’t have tons of fluff.
I'm so glad it was helpful 😉
Paper only.
😉💖
