I have both. I've had the M18 one for a few months when they had the battery sale and get free tool. I have it in the garage and it does what it's supposed to. I can't tell much on sound quality because I'm deaf and wear aids. Just got 2 of the m12 ones in the battery sale, one for her to take to work and one for in the house. I absolutely love it. Don't let the small size discourage you, it's powerful. I like you can plug it in and charge battery and your phone.

@ JakeOfALL. Thanks for the demo and review. Yes I can hear the distortion with that M18 radio. You may want to test both radios on a hard surface. The speaker on my small 18V Ridgid radio rattles even when I don't have the volume up much. Putting it on a softer surface seems to help.

I just got the M12. Very clean sound. Nice little bit of bass. I got the free battery with the radio.
The M12 is twice the size it needs to be (all job site radios are) I'd think about getting one if it were smaller. I need the room in my van for tools and materials.
Right, we ain't going to a party we just want a lil jam. Buy the JBL clip, goes on sale pretty often for like $30
I wanna know how the new m12 radio compares to the JBL charge 4 which I have and it has awsome bass. I like the idea of using m12 batts. Hopefully it can be in the rain.

I'd like to see the packout radio review. I have the m18/m12 Bluetooth jobsite speaker and it's pretty nice, also got it as a free tool. The sound sucked and sounds flat when I first tried it BUT. I adjusted the equalizer on my phone, then it sounded amazing. It will also charge your phone without playing music. I do however wish I had a mounting bracket for it. I use it as a stereo on my forklift lol but it hasn't fell off yet! I meed a half size packout mounting bracket for a forklift lol
Bolt a mount to it and then put feet on the radio.
What raido are you trying to mount ?
@@JakeOfALL it's the Milwaukee M18/M12 jobsite speaker 2891-20. The biggest challenge is where I want to mount it. Cleats would kind of work on the forklift but it wouldn't hold a top and bottom cleat and would have no lock. I wonder if making a half size "universal" mount with holes for a bungie cord would be a good option. Is there a lock that can be printed?

I don't if you saw my comment on one of your old videos or not, but I was asking if you can make a foot for a battery charger. I hate having to make sure I keep up with my charger. Also I was thinking how about a way to put a 4 way plug on the packout

Financially the m18 radio was a better buy for me because I have a ton of m18 batteries and no m12 batteries

Anyone have a m12rcdab problem where it starts buzzing then freezes on the screen is displays a question mark symbol ( ? initializing )

Yes very difficult.
For me taking out of the radio the 4.0 battery was extremely difficult

Hello as I love Milwaukee Pack out systems so much I am a groomer but I need something to hold the scissors without them swinging around in the car as that will mess up the alignment and can possibly put nicks in the blades I have tried the stuff Milwaukee has with some of the inserts not a good thing to still use is it possible you can come up with Scissor holder that will pop up like some of your bit holders as well as a blade @
& clip comb holder? I’m just trying to put you to a test

You might try adjusting the bass & treble it's painfully being overdriven to distortion I have the m-18 and it sounds just fine thumbs down on a shit review !!

I have the M18 and equalizer settings are pretty neutral and this thing distorts at loud volumes. Compared to the previous generation M18 I'm pretty disappointed in this thing. Might switch to the M12.
