My Standelyana is huge and ive had her for less than a year. Thats why im researching how to propogate. She outgrew her stick and is now growing up my curtain rod. I think this plant is so beautiful.
I've had my standelyana for about 8-9 months, my cat ate like half of 4-5 leaves and ever since then its been growing really long leggy vines. I bought it small from a store and didn't know it needed something to climb on until recently so today I put it on 2 poles today so hopefully it finally starts to grow some leaves! I'm also propping one of the leggy vines that I cut of to add some more to the pot eventually, wish me luck and this video has been super helpful!
That's a clever idea, the plastic cup with holes to drain water into the moss! Because my poles have plastic centers, I can't pour water on the top for it to drain down. I find that my Monstera deliciousa bush plant needs watering at least twice a week during winter, because the humidity in my house is lower than in warm weather.
Great video..I just purchased one from Home Depot. They are rare in our area as this is the first time I've seen them. It was under $20.00 just. So I considered it a good deal Monstera is one of my favorites I have at least 3 different ones including my Cobra. So I really enjoyed watching your video with all the info that I needed. Thank you again.
Hi Emma, she is BEAUTIFUL!! And you made this video just at the right time for me, I ordered this plant just last week and she is due to arrive this Thursday, I am so EXCITED. I will be keeping all of your tips in mind and will put them to good use on my plant!! TY so much.
Excellent video. I had one in my cart, started questioning the price. So, I came to UA-cam to think, saw your video. Guess what I did after watching your very helpful video?! Yeah, you are bad for a budget. Thank you for putting so much time into educating us on plant.
I'm so happy you made a video on this, I brought this plant from grow tropicals a our 3 weeks ago and have had a hard time finding a good video. So thank you so much
Timely video for me. Literally heading out today to pick up some cuttings. Wasn’t sure what I thought of it to buy a larger sized example. Your light recommendations really helped. Although it changed the vision of where I was going to put it, (as a laying and fill behind my giant Deliciosa) I’d rather grow a nicer example and see if she can earn a prime time living room spot. Love that you were specific and succinct. Hope to see more content in this type of format.
Thanks Emma for a really helpful video. A fairly local supplier has these for sale (fairly small) as Philodendron cobra. Now I’ve seen what they are like when mature, I might bite the bullet and get one (or two as they are small and slow growing). May have to wait for warmer weather so it acclimates smoothly as my house is quite cold, constantly being at the lower end of the range in winter! Thanks so much for sharing 💚
Very informative video, I have a Monstera stendleyana cobra, looks so similar, now I know its a slow growing,I was getting concerned thanks again enjoy your weekend.
Thanks for your video! I’ve been trying to propagate one from a friend of mine but it’s not rooting… I’ve had it in water (with a node and two leaves, one of which I already cut) since September with a couple adasonii cuttings and jewel orchid, all of which already rooted… should I cut the second leaf as well?
I just found this beautiful plant on my local WM. I couldn’t believe it they had those in stock! I got the last one!

I recently rooted my Standleyana in perlite. I have both albo and aurea. Love this plant, though it can be difficult. Enjoy your channel!

Will be chopping mine in the spring.
She's on my wish list! Hopefully, I'll find some costa farms pots locally soon. 🤞

Hey! yeah that's the same thing 😉
Hi Emma, what a beautiful plant 😍😍
Great video . What’s your thoughts on using it as a hanging plant in a basket
yayyy I have an aurea and it's just settling in I love it 💚
Very beautiful plant!!! 🙋🏼♀️🪴
I love your moss pole, do you have a video of how to make one?
this one is from Grow Vertical but I should be making a similar style moss pole video soon!
Emma where do you get your moss poles? I have yet to find poles that I like.
I have two cuttings. One is rooting and the other not so much but is not declining. 🤷♀️

Honestly I’ve found them soooo slow to prop. Patience is key. If you can keep them in a warm, bright, & moist environment it’ll root eventually
All of my partial white leaves have browning just on the white edge. Do you know what’s causing this?
Your Standeleyana is beautiful Emma 😍
This is my fastest growing plant, right behind my pothos if not faster😊
My not growing up 😭😭what it is?
Bought one today 2/1/2024.
i have no monstera philodendron
Aren’t all monsteras (scientific name) philodendrons (genus)?
Nope! Monstera and philodendron are both different genus
I Have 2 In 4 Inch Pots GR💚WING-UP With ME.
