3 comment awesome video today Blake you are the best ever and happy Friday I love seeing all of your amazing tortoises you do a fabulous job every day you post 💪💯👍👍💪💯👍
Hi Blake Baby-G looks absolutely gorgeous she or he has really grown a lot I want to keep personality picked up her head was looking right at you and paying attention and she's right up on her legs like a good strong tortoise excellent job on her
Where can I get food info about grass land tortoises. Also know as Russian tortoise. I want to do the best I can for her or find somewhere she could go to have a quality life.
I took a trip to the Miami zoo this weekend for the first time in like 18 years. Spent most my time watching the otters swim and looking for different tortoise😂
I understood that fruit shouldn't be offered regularly to tortoises. Vegetables, forbes and grasses are what they need...or so I read and heard. Seems you know Kennan..he says the same thing. You might want to talk to him about tortoise diet.
It depends on the breed. Cherryheads actually need a pretty high amount if fruit since their habitat is the jungle so it makes sense to have guavas for them. I personally have a sulcata so he only eats fruit as a treat maybe once a month as his diet is mostly hay and weeds.
I have many tortoises.. yellow footed & cherry heads/red footed (which are the ones he was talking about) eat a lot of fruit. They’re rainforest tortoises so fruit is a large portion of their diet. I have both of these types of tortoises & they both eat a lot of fruit. Cherry heads need more protein in their diet compared to other tortoise species. But he feeds his tortoises the proper diet. Hence how healthy they are. No pyramiding. Very healthy Shells & weights. He knows what he’s doing. Do you have tortoises like him? Are you a vet? A breeder? A tortoise nutritionist? If not then I’m just confused as to why you’re trying to act like he doesn’t know what he’s doing… especially when he was talking about how his fruit trees produce the fruit that they eat…. JUST LIKE they would do in the wild… his tortoises are healthier than most. Especially when you take into account how Kenan feeds commercially sold foods that are processed & dyed with unnatural dyes & stuff that these turtles & tortoise would never eat in the wild & aren’t actually good for them & should only be used as a supplement… but should never be fed as a primary diet or as frequently as he does. Kenan is awesome. But he’s sponsored by these food companies so he gets a lot of these crappy processed diets that he feeds all of his animals…. So if you’re going to try to say that Blake isn’t doing something right & then point him in the direction of Kenan without actually knowing what you’re talking about… then I’m going to point out the irony of your comment… because Kenan should be taking notes from Blake. Especially when he feeds commercially sold, ultra processed diets that contain dyes & preservatives that aren’t even good for humans to eat…. You couldn’t pay me to feed my tortoises that junk. I do the same thing as Blake. I grow all my own tortoise food.. all of them get their natural diet with some added supplements & added protein a few times a month.. but i replicate their natural diet as closely as possible… which is exactly what Blake does.. which is exactly what every tortoise owner should do.
@@beverlyjensen443 he also never said they eat fruit daily… even if he did… that wouldn’t even be an incorrect diet for all of his rainforest species because there are multiple times a year where they do eat fruit daily in the wild because it all depends on what is in season & what is falling to the ground. So it’s absolutely normal for those species to eat fruit daily because that’s what’s available to them…you can also tell by how healthy his collection is that they are being fed a proper, balanced diet. But I’m still confused about why you think that you know more about the tortoises that he has… than he does……? Lol. Do you have all of the same tortoises he has? Do you have any tortoises at all? Or are you just one of those ppl who looks for any reason to complain or any excuse to try to flex their “knowledge” on ppl who didn’t ask for their input? I’m not trying to be a dick but you not only made things up… but you have no idea what you’re talking about yet you’re trying to act like he’s doing something wrong when he’s probably one of the most knowledgeable ppl about tortoises on UA-cam.
Gotta build some better houses for the tortoises. These enclosures could be a lot better and bigger. Such a shame. Not getting any redfoot eggs.. because of the enclosure size and quality. Do better. The star tortoise and aldabra enclosures are small as hell too.
My brother in christ, I think I speak for everyone when I say, PLEASE move those squawking birds away from where you film your regular videos. I can barely hear anything you’re talking about, without getting hearing damage from the squawking, in nearly every video involving that part of the farm. Please.
"it tastes...it's really good for you"
Yeah we know it tastes shit 😂
Sounds like him. Money gets people a long way lol

He mentioned several tortoise species...MOST should not have daily fruit!
