So if you tie in a seat wall do you need to still have the column 2 courses below grade or can you just go 1 like what is recommended for the seat wall? Or do you now go 2 courses below for the seat wall also?

Hello! The minimum 12” is required below grade for the pillar, you can bury one course of the seat wall and tie it in on the second course of the pillar to save on materials.
