    Too bad back then therapy didn't exist or wasn't that common. I don't think Claire and Frank talked about the war to each other when they reunited . At least her PTSD doesn't seem to be extreme.

      Therapy at least in most European countries didn’t exist neither in 1945 after WW2. (Can’t speak for Britain tho) People back then took their secrets and trauma to the grave.

      Remember back in the 1st episode in the voiceover Claire mentioned that Frank had spent men to their deaths, and it really haunted him and he never really wanted to speak about it. In Claire's situation here , I imagine she buried these memories deep in her subconscious, and the attitudes to going to fight in wars up until WW1 was that they were going on a big adventure! There's plenty of examples here in Australia that even at the beginning of WW1, kids as young as 13 lied about their age & ran away from home just to get the chance to head overseas on a 'big adventure'. They had no idea what they were signing up for.

    Claire, a ressenti ce qu'elle a traversé pendant la deuxième guerre mondiale ( infirmière), c'est sentie perdue à travers ces bombardements, et fut pénible de supporter tous ces bruits de carabines assourdissants.....OMG.....AIDEZ LÀ !!!!!!!

    Dur pour elle cette guerre cela lui rappelle celle qu'elle a vécue dans son siècle elle a besoin d'aide elle a été traumatisée 🥲😓
