I always advise anyone visiting Medellin to stay at a nice hotel with a security presence but most people want to get the Airbnb. That front desk security is an amazing deterrent and a good early warning radar because they will verify the girl's credentials, if they are false then you already know what's up. Airbnb, you on your own.
I hear yela, but you can have an airbnb and still have tight security. But short timers, yes, I'd recommend a nice hotel. But even then, don't bring ANYONE to your room. There's places to go for that, if that's what one is looking for
You should always be concerned, I'd say. Not to say she's bad. But best to tread lightly and vet as best you can. If she's a prosional woman and doesn't expect money, that's one thing. But if grandma gets sick, etc. Gotta 🤔

Out of all these stories I have never heard of a guy being drugged by a escort. Most of the time it’s tinder and girls that hang around places where they know gringos hang out. I think the best advice is to only pay for pros and don’t do any real dating in Colombia or if you are doing real dating in Colombia be on your toes. When I went to Colombia I smashed 30+ girls in a month and all of them were pros never once did I have a feeling a girl was trying to set me up or anything. Actually most of my experiences were good
Rule of thumb is to never lead with your wallet. Or move in such a way that brings unnecessary attention to yourself. Also he hit on something which is pivotal. Some of these tourists or expatriates are getting setup by other tourists/expatriates as well. You can’t trust anyone really.

In any case, don't stop coming to visit my country, you know that there in Gringoland there are very few women who are going to connect in that friendly, simple and humble way. Those from their countries prefer to have a dog or a cat and eat like cows after their 30s. Don't stop taking advantage of the affection and sincerity that these women in my country have. It's very rejuvenating when you find a good paisa. Never give papaya, that's why all the houses and the first floors of the buildings all have fences.
i was drinking with some people. i was carrying a wallet with no cards just a little cash for the night. i was having a good time. a mutual “friend” it was like the second time i had met him and i wasnt so interested in hanging around the guy. my friend invited him out with us. later we were drinking with some other guys started speaking spanish about me. i speak spanish. i didnt like the conversation. so i left. the guy follows me and says lets go to the atm. i was like yeah right. i sped off. also i did not even bring a phone to colombia.
If they kidnapped and murder you they will get charge for kidnapping and murder. Which is a lot of time in prison. Also, murdering someone in Medellín can get you life. Look it up.
gringos need to develop a " Malicia indigena" so they can sense easier when there's something wrong in a situation. Also the 11th commandment "no dar papaya". saludos

Man that suck feel sorry for dude man. That's why my boys and I roll deep I'm talking 5 to 6 deep.we are always in each other's orbit If we are out . But that's not helping the story I'm just saying group up over there.
This is wild. Talk about organized crime. Thanks for sharing.
Can you post the link to his original video please?
It should be in the description of the video and at the end of this video
Thanks! Appreciate you bringing this interview
Much thanks bro!!! Greatly appreciate the support
Good information video. It can happen to anyone. Great tips
oh my god a good script for a film I travel every year to Colombia for several years I trust no one and thank god I never had a problem in December 202 I remember like it was yesterday I was eating an ice cream in the El Poblado neighborhood I was approached by a Canadian who sympathized with me for almost half an hour he spoke in English, French and even in Spanish he told me that he was organizing a big party at his house and he told me that I will have a wonderful evening there will be all kinds of drinking girls and I will be his guest after thinking about it I declined the invitation I said to myself that he is Canadian I I said to myself, it's normal for someone to chat with you for 30 minutes and they invite you to their place for an evening at the end of the evening while I was waiting for my Uber I see the person a little further away with another person with a shady head advice in Colombia don't trust anyone
There's places to go for that, if that's what one is looking for
I met this Colombian woman online. We've talk and hit it off. She is looking into a travel visa to come see me. Should I be concerned?
You should always be concerned, I'd say. Not to say she's bad. But best to tread lightly and vet as best you can. If she's a prosional woman and doesn't expect money, that's one thing. But if grandma gets sick, etc. Gotta 🤔
@@dcbornrob Definitely think every moment they're asking for money. Second, getting a tourist visa plus airfare to travel to see someone isn't cheap.
I saw his video a few weeks back..crazy story for sure.
Good info. This is close to as locals deal with.
A young Canadian dude, in a Colombian prison, for 50 years.😘😘😘 I bet his cellmates have already picked out his lipstick
Thanks for watching
I spent a week in Colombia, I don’t know if I’m ever going back.
Dang, what happened?
@@dcbornrob Basically attempted robbery I was only a block from my hotel so I ran and was fine, other than that just general harassment. I walked away ok and actually saw quite a lot of good stuff but there's a lot of other places in the world to go where you wouldn't have to deal with that. I will say Cartagena is a beautiful and unique city though.
Great interview Rob! 👍
Thanks. He's a good story teller. Thanks for watching
😂😂😂😂 I’m writing this movie now
Intrigue for sure
Take everything with a grain of salt
How did the 3 kidnappers get sentenced so quickly?
🤔
I guess their version of a speedy trial
Thanks!
Big thanks Dennis. MUCH thanks bro
Actually most of my experiences were good
Thanks for your comment
🧢🧢🧢
Thanks for this one
Thanks much. He'll of a story, right?!?
Thank you guys!
Thank you
Thanks for this great info take care and stay safe
Thanks for following along
Unbelievable smh
Great interview
Rule of thumb is to never lead with your wallet. Or move in such a way that brings unnecessary attention to yourself. Also he hit on something which is pivotal. Some of these tourists or expatriates are getting setup by other tourists/expatriates as well. You can’t trust anyone really.
Well said
Information is important.
Exactly
captivating story... Is there motive for the Military and the Gov to solve these crimes in order to protect tourism in the country.. I assume that may be a big motivator..
You would figure. We don't know the behind the scenes. But in this case, the Guala jumped in and made it happen
Ive been living in colombia for 4 yrs and never had any issues..well maybe because im not inviting random people into my circle…please be careful
thanks for the insight
2nd time I heard of the hidden cell phone during the kidnapping. Then the ‘Mission Impossible’ one handed behind the back texting.💬 I call BS. In that aspect. IMHO
Well they are jail for 25 yrs so cant be Impossible
In any case, don't stop coming to visit my country, you know that there in Gringoland there are very few women who are going to connect in that friendly, simple and humble way.
Those from their countries prefer to have a dog or a cat and eat like cows after their 30s.
Don't stop taking advantage of the affection and sincerity that these women in my country have. It's very rejuvenating when you find a good paisa.
Never give papaya, that's why all the houses and the first floors of the buildings all have fences.

I watched a few of these videos and there seems to be one common theme....2 women and using dating apps
I thought this was something new. Been on youtube for a while
What a scary story 😮
La tóxica
It's a movie
Nicole sounds like a keeper. Bienvenidos a Metrellin 😅 SIMPS this "soft" do NOT belong in LATAM
Very interesting on gringo tuesday i would never have thought that
I meant to share, I have 2 other stories of guys getting scoped from language exchanges
Thanks for sharing , damn☹️
He tells a hell of a story.
i was drinking with some people. i was carrying a wallet with no cards just a little cash for the night. i was having a good time. a mutual “friend” it was like the second time i had met him and i wasnt so interested in hanging around the guy. my friend invited him out with us. later we were drinking with some other guys started speaking spanish about me. i speak spanish. i didnt like the conversation. so i left. the guy follows me and says lets go to the atm. i was like yeah right. i sped off. also i did not even bring a phone to colombia.
crazy
Rob find out the name and location of the language exchange. People need to be aware and the organizer to warn people
Did his place have security and if so what happened with the security?
I think he said they didn't
If they kidnapped and murder you they will get charge for kidnapping and murder. Which is a lot of time in prison. Also, murdering someone in Medellín can get you life. Look it up.
Yet it seems to happen daily.
gringos need to develop a " Malicia indigena" so they can sense easier when there's something wrong in a situation. Also the 11th commandment "no dar papaya".
saludos
Thanks for the comment
Good video
Incredible story
It's a good idea to meet at a neutral area, it took me about two years to meet my wife face to face we met at Panama not in Colombia.
Few times before we decided to get married
Thank u for this. Questions and points: Sad the language exchange girl sold u guys out to the thugs, but like the cdn guy said. It is mainly a crime against the bank.
As tinder dies i can see the Paseo Millionario type of crime grow. Question: what background is the Toronto thug? I would imagine he is latino..prob originally from Cali
nope he is Indian Canadian
@@jackmate2 how do u know that?
The thug isn’t Latino. Seems like a regular white guy. He didn’t even speak Spanish
Good stuff
I skip Cali when Visiting 🇨🇴 Cartagena Looks Great 🫵😎
Language exchange? Wow! Scary!
Yea man, time and opportunity
If this man didn’t know Spanish…..this story would be different. Know your Spanish it will save your life.
Absolutely
Do your Duolingo everyday
The moral of the story is don't be a cheap b. and spend a few more $$ on an Airbnb with top-notch security. (think of it like life insurance) Good Night!
Well.put
Is this guy going to continue to go to COLOMBIA?
I don't know. I wouldn't
Damn, snorting coke, and smoking weed. Wish I could have been there 🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing the story...Free Palestine🇵🇸
👀
@RAZORRAZE2K another weak flex. IMHO
@@adrichapoy6525 lmao Hey I gotta hear him out 1st
@@RAZORRAZE2K Hence 2nd time hearing the story. Embellishment sells tickets 🎟️
Scary
Yessir
this video and other survivor videos probably increase the likelihood that kidnap victims are killed rather than "negotiated with"
@MNDanno FYI Kidnappers don’t negotiate w/ their hostages.
Insane
Crazy story. They are blessed
the cartel people don't like their thugs because they hurt their business most of them have restaurants nightclubs and they need tourists the safest area in Medellin it's envigado because a lot of people from the middle reside there even at the time Pablado Escobar resided there

This ain’t Mexico dude lol
That’s in Mexico lol
The moral of the story is ''Do not go to Colombia with ridiculous haircuts''. Or you kinda looking for trouble there
Thanks for watching
Is it not cool because he doesn’t have waves or an Afro?
💀
I hope this video isn’t translated into Spanish. Because you know that these robbers are looking at these videos too. So, they are listening to how they can make their plan stronger.
I don't think they need any help. We're the one's that need to be aware
Definitely. We need to always be on our toes. But I heard a few gems in here. lol I’m not going to lie. It piqued my ears, like, I hope they don’t start doing that lol
Colombia is for seeing the sights and eating the food. The regular stuff
To go there for the purpose of meeting Women is a really bad idea. Consider this, that even the Colombian people don't trust their own. Consider that you know nothing about these Women.
Think about the fact that a lot that you will end up meeting, are possibly plotting against you, and you're going out of your way to meet these people?!
You cannot trust dating apps, or even Language exchanges, and Women recommended by Friends!
Do not go there looking for Women.
You can do that back home.
Go there because you want to Travel.
Or stay home.
You got it wrong. I think Canindian Bro went to Colombia only for the Culture, Salsa dancing, the Food and the marvelous beaches ... 😑 OK, right he only went there for cheap women.
Agreed
Stay away from Colombia folks 😂
Thanks for watching
Remember Expats, Passport bros, and digital nomads this is a 3rd world Country. I'm Mexican and know Colombia well, Been traveling there since 2006. Even owned a business in Cali. But please keep a guard and one eye open.
Well said, Thanks for sharing
How do you still stay in Colombia after this lol dude the girls aren’t worth it
I don't think they're worth it either. But I'm much older than many that the chances.
Wow😮
Yeah. They got lucky. They violated a lot of the travel rules. Stop looking for love and understand what it is. They knew the girl for a month , for what?
It's the most realistic statement, "You got to know how to move and interrogate. THEY DID NOT🤷🏾♂️‼️‼️
Five Continents and never an issue. Anything can happen, but you have to know where you are and stay on your Liam and Denzel status.... IYKYK
Thanks for your comment
yeah i feel colombia is too sketchy. going out drinking is trouble. in latin america respectable women dont hang out at bar or clubs. you keep your daughter under guard in latin american countries. so the girls you are meeting prostitutes or sketchy people. its best not to go out in my opinion.
thanks for sharing
pink coke is tuci or 2c
thanks for watching. 2cb
Teach the economy a lesson dont travel there.
got your point of view
The takeaway here is, if your grand plan involves a visit to Colombia, swap the salsa lessons for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu prep. You're more likely to find yourself in a brawl than a dance-off. and yes 19:27 free Palestine
I met a Canadian who was my roomate one time in colombia. He paid for a salsa lesson and the next thing i know...hes in the other room banging her! Even my girl who was in my room couldnt believe it

I'm going to Cali Colombia in 5 days i definitely got to be mindful because this will be my forth time going and i stay at least 30 days at a time i dont go out to alot of places i have drivers but i make sure i go to my destination and back to my Airbnb but i always have security waiting and i make sure they know i need extra protection since im not a local i definitely stand out like a sore thumb being American there so my swag is different but i use my street smarts which alot of men don't have im not saying im invensible but game recognize game
Sure Rabbit sure.
