Thank you for this conversation! I live with DID, and it is so important to spread accurate information. I'm a certified professional in my field. When disclosing my diagnosis to the HR manager for accommodations to make my dr appointments, she said "Oh! Like Split!" 🙄🤮 She has gone as far as following me into the restroom, because she thinks I'm dangerous. I've been with my company for 4yrs, no disciplinary actions, only good performance reviews, HR still legit thinks I'm a murderer.

Thank you for sharing and I’m so sorry that people at work great you like that. I guess one of the big problems with the way we consume media is INACCURATE descriptions in entertainment media are remembered better than correct descriptions in education media. It’s very frustrating.

Is that Jess at the beginning? I thought it was Jamie originally lol! I thought jess came forward sort of half way through. Love them all regardless xoxo

I’m not sure. I hadn’t met any of the alters at this point so would have been unable to recognise them. I may have to rewatch and pay close attention to the accent! 💝

If the second self takes over and the original you is gone, what is that called? I spent 3 years convinced I was Captain Jack, it was very real and I didn't answer to any other name. Now Jack's gone I'm here, but I'm not either of them. Crazy eh?

I have no idea I'm afraid as all my knowledge on DID has come from this interview. I'd suggest reaching out to Jess through their channel to see if they can shed any light on this! 💝

That sounds more like a type of obsessive disorder, or another type of identity disorder, not necessarily DID, as it’s lifelong and fluent

That sounds very similar to something I've read about called a dissociative fugue? It may have been this. It might be good to chat with a doctor about it if you can. I hope you're doing okay. 💖

I don't think I've ever heard jess swear before 😅

It’s strange. I swear on other peoples shows way more than my own. 😂
