Thank you so much for this video. I have a knitting pattern book that has this pattern but for the life of me I couldn't get it right. I was adding one stitch for every 8 stitch so I wound up with too many then somehow I wound up with less stitches so I have been a mess.lol now with your video I got it! My arms were getting tired doing over and over the pattern prior to your video.😊
You are simply amazing. Your videos are simple to follow and I love listening to your lively voice. I have learnt much more from you than reading knitting patterns. Well done
Could you do this pattern with two different Color yarn like the space between the diamonds are a different color and the lines making the diamonds are another kinda like how the brick pattern is with the space between the white lines in color and the lines white
I was thinking of making a jumper in this stitch. Would the pattern still work if before the diamonds began I did 1 by 1 rib? And maybe added cables too.
Lovely pattern. Can you tell me if that pattern is suitable to be knitted in a wool that feels like velvet yarn i bought heaps to make a blanket either this or diagonal basketweave thought I'd ask first. Also in 5mm needles. Thanks. Your videos are very easy to learn from. I did the tumbling blocks too was lovely! ❤⚘🧶❤🧶
2:34 hi, I don’t understand why the written pattern in the video is different from the written pattern on the website: for example the first row in the video is: K4, *P1, K7*, P1, K4 but the first row in the written pattern is: *K4, P1, K3*, P1 Why is that? I know the total is always multiple of 8+1, but it’s hard to follow the written pattern (on the website) along the video ☺️
I have printed off the Diamond Brocade knitting pattern but when following along on the video some of the printed instructions don't match with your instructions shown on the video; especially the beginning rows? which ones do you advise us to follow?
Hi did any one find out which is the right pattern one on the video or the free pattern I did the video and found out I was 4 stitches out can any one help thankyou
Hi! I love this stitch and would like to knit it on a cardigan pattern, yet it doesn't have the 8n+1 stitches. Is it absolutely necessary for it to have them or is it just for it to look nicer? :(
Is it possible to use this pattern if I already have 130 stitches on my circular needle? I’m halfway through making a blanket and making the pattern up as I go along as I’m only just learning and kind of experimenting as I get further through the blanket x
Hello. I am attempting to learn how to knit I am already advanced in crochet. So wanted a new project for other designs and textures. I however keep running into the problem of only finding swatch size stuff. How do I make larger objects?? Such as blankets or sweaters with just knitting needles. Is this possible??
I have this EXACT same pattern in a book a”Teach Yourself Visually” KNITTING. By Sharon Turner! “Diamond Brocade Pattern” p. 54. Plus I used this same pattern to knit a baby blanket 45 YEARS AGO!
would you have any idea how many stitches l should do as would love to make a small baby blanket for my friend who's baby is due in a couple weeks. thanks x

Thank you for the tutorial, it’s a beautiful stitch. Question: if I want to make a hat using this stitch, would I do it in the round?
I am currently knitting a hat with this pattern. It's time consuming, but pretty.
Wow, I can imagine! Must be beautiful.
Is it possible to knit this pattern in the round for a sweater ?
Nice pattern... love it =)

Would this work on a throw blanket?
Hi
I want to knit a sweater for upcoming baby 0 size... Please guide, how many stitches to cast?
What row are we stopping in order to bind off? Or is it after Row 8?
Can I knit this in the round? I would love to use this to knit a baby blanket on my circular needles
Yes! My knitting instructions for in the round are on my website here www.studioknitsf.com/diamond-brocade-knit/
I have printed off the Diamond Brocade knitting pattern but when following along on the video some of the printed instructions don't match with your instructions shown on the video; especially the beginning rows?
which ones do you advise us to follow?
Follow the printed instructions!
On row 4 I ended up with an extra stitch...no part of the repeat. Would I just purl this?
