Loved it...3yrs later!! I play guitar, and many more instruments, and that finale would've been fun to join!
Great outing, great fish, and God Bless
Haha cheers. Yeah, my dad cruises the islands with his friends and plays guitar at bars and on docks. Living the dream!
This is the best video ive seen on the internet. Glad I found it. Thanks for makin all these awesome vids. Much respect. 👊
Haha cheers dude! Best on the internet is a stretch but I'm stoked you feel that way haha.

I've been working my way through all your videos, and I can't get enough! Amazing to see what's in our waters. Keep up at great work!
Haha amazing man! Happy you like them. Our aquatic backyard is something else that's for sure!
I appreciate you showcasing your adventures in local waters. The production values are great and the footage is crisp. Goods vibes.
Thanks man and no sweat. It's fun getting out and I'm happy people seem to be enjoying them. Thanks for the comment!
I can't stop watching your videos!
I'm hooked and plan on buying gear and taking lessons this fall/winter!!
Awesome man, you won't regret it! My favorite time to dive in October/Nov. Stoked you like the content, cheers!
i want to get into freediving and came across your channel and I really enjoy it because I love the west coast and it is the closest ocean to me.
thank you so much for what you are doing and keep it going
Thanks brother. Our oceans are super beautiful with the right equipment. A nice warm open cell suit and your set! Happy you like them man, appreciate the comment. Nice display picture too, I skateboard as well.
Dude, it's your videos like this that make my decision to move to Canada with my family much easier. Keep on making these videos man. Blessings
Cheers man! It's amazing here, I hope you like it! Where are you from?
@@PNWSamson The Bahamas. Crazy freediving over here.
You're welcome for all the free smoke! Very cool boat inspection. Very cool cleanup. That ling was so big it kind of looked like a muppet!
Yeah man that's was an awesome trip! Fish, cruising and clean ups. Can't wait for the next one. And those fish are awesome, lingcod are delicious and mean looking!
nice work great vid!
Thanks man happy you enjoyed it!
Awesome. Nice work brother
Thanks man!!
Awesome videos broski. BC for life
100%! Thanks man!
Lovin it brother!
Cheers dude!
Sweet :)
Great video!!!
Thanks brother. I've been watching your channel, you have some great content and edits. Good stuff!
What about Scallops, can you harvest them up there ? I noticed a couple pretty big ones in the beginning of the video at 1:15-1:17 and at 1:25-1:26? Thanks for all the great videos.
No problem! Scallops they never seem to open because the DFO does not have the budget to test them for toxins. I'll be honest, I eat the odd one here and there but I don't make it a common habit haha.
@@PNWSamson That's too bad, we down here in Northern California can harvest 10 per day (bag limit) and they are the best tasting thing in the ocean!
What length speargun would you recommend for the BC coast? That looks like a Riffe
75cm seems to be the go to for most people!
Where were you diving at in ukee, seams familiar but just cant put my finger on it🤷♂️😁
I'm not positive to be honest. I followed a friend there. He was a little upset that I even said Ucluelet so I'd better not day the spot even if I knew it aha
What are those scalops i seen with the orange mouth or is that some other kind of sea life ?
No, those are scallops. Rock scallops in particular. Super delicious but unfortunately they are rarely open
@@PNWSamson ohhhh crazy !!
Hey I am new to freediving and spearfishing. Could you point me in the right direction to find a forum and maybe some folks to learn a bit from. thanks
Hmm, check out Freedive BC or Vancouver Island spearfishing, freediving & Snorkeling on Facebook. They are both good resources when it comes to diving locally. I assume you're on Vancouver Island?
thanks found vancouver island freedive spearfishing and snorkeling group on face book and Mark Cantrell sent me some instructor info. maybe see you out there in the spring
🤙🏽👊🏽
I live in nanaimo
Nice, I do now too. Moved to the island in 2021.
10:10 a glitch in the matrix
Sorry I don't follow haha
Aaah are you referring to Entrance Island? It's close in the first frame but in the distance in the following! My bad haha
@@PNWSamson Lol it looks like its floating
hey, i saw your hood on the mako wetsuit was riding up your forehead, mine does the same thing. im about to attach another piece of neoprene on it i hate a cold forehead x)
Yeah man. They are great wetsuits but that seems to be a common problem/complaint. I wonder why they haven't fixed that yet...
@@PNWSamson i actually talked with the founder of the company about it :P
Don't lie bro, how many times you drop them nuts and bolts on the bottom while doing that?
Also BTW sick vid, enjoyed it!
Haha funny story. My dad had a friend try to do it while scuba diving a week before. He ended up dropping a anode ($150) and couldn't retrieve it after. I did it successfully and didn't drop a thing! Haha, thanks happy you liked it!
What light are you using?
That was a Gobe 500 lumen in that video. I just started a light company though called Green Sea Lights. The 2500 is crazy bright. Check em out! www.divingsports.com/collections/torches
Definitely I'll check it out.
Where was this spot in Tofino ?
The internet is where fishing spots go to die haha. Some people gave me shit for even saying the word "Tofino". Your best option is to learn about the habitat Lingcod and rockfish live in and download navionics and search Google Earth for spots to find. Sorry!
