    i want to get into freediving and came across your channel and I really enjoy it because I love the west coast and it is the closest ocean to me.

    What about Scallops, can you harvest them up there ? I noticed a couple pretty big ones in the beginning of the video at 1:15-1:17 and at 1:25-1:26? Thanks for all the great videos.

      No problem! Scallops they never seem to open because the DFO does not have the budget to test them for toxins. I'll be honest, I eat the odd one here and there but I don't make it a common habit haha.

      I'm not positive to be honest. I followed a friend there. He was a little upset that I even said Ucluelet so I'd better not day the spot even if I knew it aha

      No, those are scallops. Rock scallops in particular. Super delicious but unfortunately they are rarely open

      Hmm, check out Freedive BC or Vancouver Island spearfishing, freediving & Snorkeling on Facebook. They are both good resources when it comes to diving locally. I assume you're on Vancouver Island?

    hey, i saw your hood on the mako wetsuit was riding up your forehead, mine does the same thing. im about to attach another piece of neoprene on it i hate a cold forehead x)

      Yeah man. They are great wetsuits but that seems to be a common problem/complaint. I wonder why they haven't fixed that yet...

      Haha funny story. My dad had a friend try to do it while scuba diving a week before. He ended up dropping a anode ($150) and couldn't retrieve it after. I did it successfully and didn't drop a thing! Haha, thanks happy you liked it!

      That was a Gobe 500 lumen in that video. I just started a light company though called Green Sea Lights. The 2500 is crazy bright. Check em out! www.divingsports.com/collections/torches

      The internet is where fishing spots go to die haha. Some people gave me shit for even saying the word "Tofino". Your best option is to learn about the habitat Lingcod and rockfish live in and download navionics and search Google Earth for spots to find. Sorry!
