Try to put at least some new cards in if you feel like you need to, and invest some wild cards in those. Generally, though, you shouldn't feel like you have to follow a meta. Craft a viable deck for most if not all situations and roll with that

i didnt play the game for 3 or 4 years now i cant keep up with the level 12-14 evo units while having a level 9-10 deck without a single evolution and missing like 20 units
I take breaks as well just don’t use magic items until you have enough to upgrade or complete the evolution and don’t make cards that you aren’t currently using higher level

I don’t adapt to the meta I always try to beat the meta. When the Megaknight cycle meta came, I used PEKKA, Battle Ram, Lighting, zap/log, Archers, Tesla, Skeletons, Ice Spirit.

royal hogs, evo cracker, evo knight, goblins, hunter, bandit, arrows, earthquake. 9k trophies, champ to royal champ consistently. A tip I have is to be aware of your physical condition. If you're tired or thirsty you will play worse, you will react slower, you will lose more often. Also, taking a few warm up games before doing serious gaming is invaluable. I almost always lose my first match, but later matches I play at full potential. Also also practicing specific counters to cards you struggle with is great.

Pekka, mega knight, e-giant is three big troops in one deck. That’s generally going to slow your ability to get down cards in order to get back to your other ones. Try replacing the Pekka with a mini Pekka (important: mini Pekka is a more defensive troop than the big one). The mega knight, while useful seeming, could just be replaced with a spell; which you seem to be lacking. Normally, decks contain two spells (one small spell, one wild card spell), and since you lack a small spell, unless you count e-wiz as one (at the cost of being expensive and purely defensive), you should try putting one of the following into your deck to replace the mega knight: zap, log, arrows, snowball, rage. The E-giant is interesting, as it does synergize with Sparky quite well, but is also expensive; however, the best sparky synergizer would be goblin giant, a cheaper card that can also defend itself, making it easier to push with strong synergies (its not about having the biggest push possible, but about having pushes that are the most bang for your buck). If you decide to pick Goblin giant, I reccomend rage as your small spell, as rage synergizes with both goblin giant and sparky simultaneously, by clearing swarms and boosting the speed of the goblin giant AND his spear goblins. Mini Pekka is also a synergizer to this, killing troops that sparky has trouble reacting to. E-wizard also works well here. Skeletons army is top 5 worst cards in the game, because supercell refuses to fix it. I recommend goblin gang instead, as it has similar damage output, same elixir cost, better survivability, and more versatility. It can do everything that skeleton army can do + more (survive small spells that aren’t log or arrows, attack air troops, and single-handedly counter a mega knight while causing a king tower activation if placed perfectly) it only has slightly less damage output, but that doesn’t matter when it’s also so much more versatile. Now, the two buildings. Goblin tower (I’ll assume this is goblin hut) is a bit of a noob trap. While it provides chip damage with zero effort, and can be a nuisance for the opponent, it’s also a guaranteed overcommitment and is too inconsistent, fragile, and easily countered for a positive elixir trade by virtually any splash card. If you use it to lure troops and defend, I reccomend replacing it with tombstone. If you use it for offensive pressure, I reccomend replacing it with a spell (your choice) or a 1 elixir cycle card (a cycle card is used to get back to your other cards quicker) If you plan to replace goblin hut with tombstone, you should replace the goblin cage with a spell or a 1 elixir cycle card. If not, you can choose between keeping it or replacing it with a 1 elixir cycle card, or a spell if you don’t have two yet. Goblin cage is entirely not that bad of a card, and could very well work in this reworked version of the deck.

If you want to have royal hogs as win condition, try skeletons, ice spirit, queen, delivery, hogs, earthquake, log and cannon. Definitely the best royal hogs deck in the current meta. It’s quite difficult on some matchups but the only real hard counter are lava decks.
My deck - evo pekka, evo firecracker, hog rider, log, fireball, gobling gang, wizard, goblin barrel Log and fireball for supporting hog rider or defending air troops, pekka to counter tanks, I use goblin barrel as a defensive card mostly but if they are out of arrows, zap then on tower, wizard for clearing most air, ground troops with goblin gang and firecracker to defend or with hog rider on the tower for chip damage
Beatdown or cycle? Hog Cycle or pekka bridgespam? Why gob barrel and Hog? As others have been saying, replace barrel or hog. You can do something like a zap for resetting or something orrrr just something to cycle with.
Aaam i mean you have good cards but you mixing everything, like why you need pekka and goblin barrel im not even talking about useless wizard. You can play with hog pekka and firecracker with same spels(you can change fireball) instead goblin cards and wizard you can use ice spirit, skeleton, and cannon or tesla

I disagree with the statement "upgrading hog rider (wincon) is much more important than upgrading the log". I'd always prioritise the log because of all the interactions you have with +1 log. Not saying upgrading win con is not important tho.
I agree. I should have priotized leveling spells more than other cards. It is annoying when opponent's log kills my firecracker and it is even more annoying when my log can't even kill their princess.
Always prioritize upgrading the key spells and main win condition first. Then upgrade the supports. Like I’ve seen people getting level 14 evo skeletons and in the end, that level difference does nothing! Small troops rarely get affected to the point of leveling being a necessity.
You already play gob-barrel, gob-gang so why not try classic log bait. And you also use zappies, witch. They bait fireball. So you can also try royal hogs. (Witch is not recommended unless you are in lower (below 5k) arena.)
Main difference between good and bad players is that bad player loses to evo pekka and says that evo pekka is broken but good player uses evo pekka and says that evo pekka is broken.

I had two of the signs of a bad clash Royale player, slightly off on card placement from time to time and changing decks. I have realized that I never or hardly ever beat my highest trophy count when I keep switching decks. Now, I have six or seven decks to choose from, and I'm allowing myself the option of modifying one or two as needed. One thing that was not mentioned is this video was the fact that it is ok to modify your decks as long as you have at least three other decks you never change, bc modifying decks can make you better by adding more offense or defense

I've never been a fan of zap, rage, megaknight or goblin barrel so I'm a little biased but I would recommend Rage into poison Miner not dart goblin Goblin barrel to firecracker Zap to snowball ( trust ) Inferno dragon to electro dragon or electro wizard Ram to inferno tower or hidden tesla ( trust ) If anything get more air attack, a big spell, you don't need 4 win conditions, a building with high DPS and maybe a cheap mid health defense (ex. Knight).
I would change the skeleton army for a goblin gang since the spear goblin can also defend air and if but in the middle can counter mani cards, also zap won't kill the regular goblins, and if the do have zap you can bait it with miner and bats, or change frezee for a poison. It's a pretty solid deck. you shouldn't have a lot of problems pushing ladder

My Deck is Evo Knight Evo Bats Wall Breakers Poison Inferno Tower Dart Goblin Miner and Log judge it on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest score the cost is 3.0 a Cycle Deck
Just one thing about the upgrading cards. Instead of focusing on win condition or main support, focus on interactions instead. for example, leveling your X-bow up is a good idea in ice-bow (my main deck, so ima use it as an example) cuz it survives a rocket at same level, but not a level under, skellies are also important, cuz it throws off the skelly vs skelly interaction and being behind on the lower end feels pretty bad. tesla is kinda "main defense" but it'll pull unites the same and last the same ammount of time when untouched, so the lower DPS is the biggest issue and still not that bad, so it'll be one of the last ones to lvl up, same as tornado and ice wizard (interactions mostly stay the same just slightly lower dmg). Another example is on a hog firecracker cicle deck. I'd say leveling the firecracker before the hog is better, because hog interactions are not as drastic as a Log killing the underleveled firecracker.
I once played someone who took both towers and kept spaming yawning princess. They were using ebarbs rage lumberloon mega knight e giant inferno dragon and log. So i joined their clan to get a rematch beat them then all of a sudden they arent yawning anymore

The mk king activation gets me like 10% of the time... I run skellies, ice spirit and barb barrel in my deck and there are so many factors that come into account for placements against mk. My most consistent one is ice spirit then skellies. If you play the skellies too early, the mk will walk instead of jump. When doing skellies then ice spirit, some of the time, the mk kills only two of the skellies and will take time to hit the third, making you play ice spirit too early. Barb barrel always screws me up too because it takes so long to deploy and it's hard to play it fast and accurate at the same time because the barb doesn't even end up on the same location you place it.
My favorite deck to play right now plays like it's barely holding on for dear life, but is able to go off at the very end with proper timing. Currently about a 57% Win Ratio Mega K, Valk, Arrows, Wizard, Mother Witch, Cannon Cart, Lumberjack, Archers. I'm not a pro by any means, and the hardest decks to play against are the Mega K/Peka lineups.
Evo bats, Log, Giant skeleton, goblin gang, skeleton barel, Clone,Dart goblin, electro spirit. I dunno from where had i got this one, but it in most cases is very fun to play. In terms of gameplay this one is closer to cycle deck, thought i can somewhat control cycle speed with giant skelly. I try to use some triks and deception to corner my oponents with card combinations that may not seem a big deal from the first sight, but in reality can deal tons of damage and/or if not handled properly result in overcommitment from enemy. Throw in clone spell and the resulting mess may result in utter chaos.

my main deck on my main account is evo barbs, evo gob barrel, skarmy, prince, rage, inferno drag, musketeer, and mini pekka. Rn im at about 7.2k trophies and grinding to get musketeer level 14 as thats my only under leveled card in the deck
my last deck used on league 8.7 evo squeleton, evo ram, monk, snowball; drag, infer drag, rage, gob gang. it's cost it's high in a certain way but i almost reached league 9 today, stuck at 9/10 victory lol can't depush sometime or break if you have a deck similar to my deck but better because i'm bad and try to compensate with weird skilled strategy (like reach 7/10 for the 9 with no winning condition pure defence) but i watched B-rad 20 win chall and it's hard to have his level and be abble to defeat those PK- goblinstein - MK - logbait and it really showed me i can improve at the game and win against "this meta"
im confused because every pro player switches their deck constantly to adapt to the meta and this is a thing i do to. i think it helps to get good with every different card interaction and play style yet it is also good to keep one main deck that you can always rely on but switching decks does NOT mean you are bad.
He didn’t mean that you should one trick one deck and never switch no matter the situation, he rather meant that you will win much more games if you practice and get good at one deck that you like, instead of switching decks as soon as you lose, as if you are gonna be good at a deck the first time you play it. This leads to you never learning how to play a deck properly and have no reliable deck to stick to when you actually need to perform well. This lose=switch decks-mindset often leads to choosing to main a bad midladder deck without synergy, as those are the decks who you are most likely to have the most success with when first picking it up. The reason pros switch decks constantly is that they have practice with almost every card and archetype in the game, and in such high ranges, you HAVE to adapt to the meta. In the average ranges, however, you should rather find a good deck that you like (preferably a meta deck, this will ensure that it is good), and practice to become good at it, even if you suck at it to begin with. Even pro players have a main deck that they play better with than any other deck. Hope this helps clear it up even if it was a little long😅
The replay is also good for just understanding how you won. The other day I was playing a match in around the 7500 range and I won but didn't fully understand why so the replay helped me see what I did so I know when to use it and how to replicate it.
I took 3 musketeers and elixir pump all the way to the royal champion league with 2 wins remaining. I eventually switched decks and finally made it to ultimate champion league. The deck is 100% out of meta yet I used it from bottom to near the top finishing with a 70% win rate. No one expects the 3 musketeers at the bridge, nobody…
My deck is cannon, archer, queen, EVO archers ,Evo knight ,loon , Poison, log, void , royal Chef as tower troop Depends on the meta I change to a different building and switch void with ice spired
I versed a person with a level 14 mini pekka on my brother's account, and even though his other cards were of a good level, and the mini pekka would easy counter my pekka, he still lost.
Wizard trio + pekka deck Cost 3.8 elixit Wizard, electric wizard, ice wizard, pekka, zap, fireball, archers, bats. This deck is mostly defend and counters.
I don’t complain about cards because they’re op I complain when it’s the same 3 annoying cards in every deck that make every game feel the same *couch cough* mega night, firecracker, pekka.

Synergy isn't the best, but it's quite fixable... Wizard and valkyrie don't really go together -- at least from my experience. maybe ditch both and put firecracker and a spirit (probably ice spirit)? Also, you don't need mega knight and prince on top of your goblin barrel and vice versa. Way too many 'win conditions'. replace mega knight and prince with hog rider and a building or something. Final thing, your deck doesn't have a lot of anti air. Maybe when putting a building pick tesla over cannon (if it comes down to choosing between those).

Mega knight is not a replacement for knight lol one is 3 elixir we and the other is 7. Hog eq with musk isn’t that bad (firecracker better but depends on your levels) but megaknight has zero place in that deck. As for the other deck average midladder deck lmao

"Learn to just let a tower go" brother that was a complete lose situation. I know that this is true in some cases but that's the worst example.

rate my deck: pekka, megaknight, skeleton army, e-wizzard, goblin cage, electro giant, sparky and goblin tower
Pekka, mega knight, e-giant is three big troops in one deck. That’s generally going to slow your ability to get down cards in order to get back to your other ones. Try replacing the Pekka with a mini Pekka (important: mini Pekka is a more defensive troop than the big one).
The mega knight, while useful seeming, could just be replaced with a spell; which you seem to be lacking. Normally, decks contain two spells (one small spell, one wild card spell), and since you lack a small spell, unless you count e-wiz as one (at the cost of being expensive and purely defensive), you should try putting one of the following into your deck to replace the mega knight: zap, log, arrows, snowball, rage.
The E-giant is interesting, as it does synergize with Sparky quite well, but is also expensive; however, the best sparky synergizer would be goblin giant, a cheaper card that can also defend itself, making it easier to push with strong synergies (its not about having the biggest push possible, but about having pushes that are the most bang for your buck). If you decide to pick Goblin giant, I reccomend rage as your small spell, as rage synergizes with both goblin giant and sparky simultaneously, by clearing swarms and boosting the speed of the goblin giant AND his spear goblins. Mini Pekka is also a synergizer to this, killing troops that sparky has trouble reacting to. E-wizard also works well here.
Skeletons army is top 5 worst cards in the game, because supercell refuses to fix it. I recommend goblin gang instead, as it has similar damage output, same elixir cost, better survivability, and more versatility. It can do everything that skeleton army can do + more (survive small spells that aren’t log or arrows, attack air troops, and single-handedly counter a mega knight while causing a king tower activation if placed perfectly) it only has slightly less damage output, but that doesn’t matter when it’s also so much more versatile.
Now, the two buildings.
Goblin tower (I’ll assume this is goblin hut) is a bit of a noob trap. While it provides chip damage with zero effort, and can be a nuisance for the opponent, it’s also a guaranteed overcommitment and is too inconsistent, fragile, and easily countered for a positive elixir trade by virtually any splash card. If you use it to lure troops and defend, I reccomend replacing it with tombstone. If you use it for offensive pressure, I reccomend replacing it with a spell (your choice) or a 1 elixir cycle card (a cycle card is used to get back to your other cards quicker)
If you plan to replace goblin hut with tombstone, you should replace the goblin cage with a spell or a 1 elixir cycle card. If not, you can choose between keeping it or replacing it with a 1 elixir cycle card, or a spell if you don’t have two yet. Goblin cage is entirely not that bad of a card, and could very well work in this reworked version of the deck.
Leaking elixir can be the best choice in some situations so it’s not bad

If you want to have royal hogs as win condition, try skeletons, ice spirit, queen, delivery, hogs, earthquake, log and cannon. Definitely the best royal hogs deck in the current meta. It’s quite difficult on some matchups but the only real hard counter are lava decks.

Log and fireball for supporting hog rider or defending air troops, pekka to counter tanks, I use goblin barrel as a defensive card mostly but if they are out of arrows, zap then on tower, wizard for clearing most air, ground troops with goblin gang and firecracker to defend or with hog rider on the tower for chip damage
I personally don't think you need both hog rider and goblin barrel. you could replace barrel with a defensive building, preferably tesla or cannon
You can replace hog rider with a battle ram and g barrel with e wizard, or e drag, so Pekka can reach the tower and get elixir value.

You can play with hog pekka and firecracker with same spels(you can change fireball) instead goblin cards and wizard you can use ice spirit, skeleton, and cannon or tesla

I disagree with the statement "upgrading hog rider (wincon) is much more important than upgrading the log". I'd always prioritise the log because of all the interactions you have with +1 log. Not saying upgrading win con is not important tho.
I agree. I should have priotized leveling spells more than other cards. It is annoying when opponent's log kills my firecracker and it is even more annoying when my log can't even kill their princess.
Always prioritize upgrading the key spells and main win condition first. Then upgrade the supports.

I had two of the signs of a bad clash Royale player, slightly off on card placement from time to time and changing decks. I have realized that I never or hardly ever beat my highest trophy count when I keep switching decks. Now, I have six or seven decks to choose from, and I'm allowing myself the option of modifying one or two as needed. One thing that was not mentioned is this video was the fact that it is ok to modify your decks as long as you have at least three other decks you never change, bc modifying decks can make you better by adding more offense or defense

If anything get more air attack, a big spell, you don't need 4 win conditions, a building with high DPS and maybe a cheap mid health defense (ex. Knight).

I would change the skeleton army for a goblin gang since the spear goblin can also defend air and if but in the middle can counter mani cards, also zap won't kill the regular goblins, and if the do have zap you can bait it with miner and bats, or change frezee for a poison. It's a pretty solid deck. you shouldn't have a lot of problems pushing ladder

Just one thing about the upgrading cards. Instead of focusing on win condition or main support, focus on interactions instead. for example, leveling your X-bow up is a good idea in ice-bow (my main deck, so ima use it as an example) cuz it survives a rocket at same level, but not a level under, skellies are also important, cuz it throws off the skelly vs skelly interaction and being behind on the lower end feels pretty bad. tesla is kinda "main defense" but it'll pull unites the same and last the same ammount of time when untouched, so the lower DPS is the biggest issue and still not that bad, so it'll be one of the last ones to lvl up, same as tornado and ice wizard (interactions mostly stay the same just slightly lower dmg).
Another example is on a hog firecracker cicle deck. I'd say leveling the firecracker before the hog is better, because hog interactions are not as drastic as a Log killing the underleveled firecracker.
I once played someone who took both towers and kept spaming yawning princess. They were using ebarbs rage lumberloon mega knight e giant inferno dragon and log. So i joined their clan to get a rematch beat them then all of a sudden they arent yawning anymore

The mk king activation gets me like 10% of the time... I run skellies, ice spirit and barb barrel in my deck and there are so many factors that come into account for placements against mk. My most consistent one is ice spirit then skellies. If you play the skellies too early, the mk will walk instead of jump. When doing skellies then ice spirit, some of the time, the mk kills only two of the skellies and will take time to hit the third, making you play ice spirit too early. Barb barrel always screws me up too because it takes so long to deploy and it's hard to play it fast and accurate at the same time because the barb doesn't even end up on the same location you place it.
My favorite deck to play right now plays like it's barely holding on for dear life, but is able to go off at the very end with proper timing. Currently about a 57% Win Ratio Mega K, Valk, Arrows, Wizard, Mother Witch, Cannon Cart, Lumberjack, Archers. I'm not a pro by any means, and the hardest decks to play against are the Mega K/Peka lineups.

I dunno from where had i got this one, but it in most cases is very fun to play. In terms of gameplay this one is closer to cycle deck, thought i can somewhat control cycle speed with giant skelly. I try to use some triks and deception to corner my oponents with card combinations that may not seem a big deal from the first sight, but in reality can deal tons of damage and/or if not handled properly result in overcommitment from enemy. Throw in clone spell and the resulting mess may result in utter chaos.
After I watched this video, I understood that there is no reason I am bad. I am just bad😂
I get hard countered in a good 60% of games but that’s because I’m playing off meta decks for fun instead of for only wins

For example a golem or 3M deck would typically have a 4.2 or above but that's not reflective of the entire deck

im confused because every pro player switches their deck constantly to adapt to the meta and this is a thing i do to. i think it helps to get good with every different card interaction and play style yet it is also good to keep one main deck that you can always rely on but switching decks does NOT mean you are bad.
He didn’t mean that you should one trick one deck and never switch no matter the situation, he rather meant that you will win much more games if you practice and get good at one deck that you like, instead of switching decks as soon as you lose, as if you are gonna be good at a deck the first time you play it. This leads to you never learning how to play a deck properly and have no reliable deck to stick to when you actually need to perform well. This lose=switch decks-mindset often leads to choosing to main a bad midladder deck without synergy, as those are the decks who you are most likely to have the most success with when first picking it up. The reason pros switch decks constantly is that they have practice with almost every card and archetype in the game, and in such high ranges, you HAVE to adapt to the meta. In the average ranges, however, you should rather find a good deck that you like (preferably a meta deck, this will ensure that it is good), and practice to become good at it, even if you suck at it to begin with. Even pro players have a main deck that they play better with than any other deck. Hope this helps clear it up even if it was a little long😅
The replay is also good for just understanding how you won. The other day I was playing a match in around the 7500 range and I won but didn't fully understand why so the replay helped me see what I did so I know when to use it and how to replicate it.

I took 3 musketeers and elixir pump all the way to the royal champion league with 2 wins remaining. I eventually switched decks and finally made it to ultimate champion league. The deck is 100% out of meta yet I used it from bottom to near the top finishing with a 70% win rate. No one expects the 3 musketeers at the bridge, nobody…

This is my deck, which i understood recently is not a good deck or probably a mid ladder menace deck but i can't completely swap decks because most of my other cards are under leveled. Synergy isn't the best, but it's quite fixable... Wizard and valkyrie don't really go together -- at least from my experience. maybe ditch both and put firecracker and a spirit (probably ice spirit)? Also, you don't need mega knight and prince on top of your goblin barrel and vice versa. Way too many 'win conditions'. replace mega knight and prince with hog rider and a building or something. Final thing, your deck doesn't have a lot of anti air. Maybe when putting a building pick tesla over cannon (if it comes down to choosing between those).
Build a new deck but play with this deck until you get like atleast level 12 cards and play path of legends
