This song is me. Ever since I heard this song in the early 2000s as a kid and still now. Only difference now is, I don't feel lonely anymore that much.
"In blinded mind, you are singing a glorious hallelujah." Such a haunting lyric. I wish Kajiura would still write in actual languages instead of her Kajiura-go. She has a real talent for wordsmithing.
it's because it was made for hack sign as a song and if you actually watched it does make sense. a lot of her more "insane" tracks were made for the show and yeah just fucking watch it, it's one of the better animes. shockingy because if I describe what it really is and spoil it for you i'll do a shitty job and make it sound lame so just go watch it because it's premise sounds kinda lame but the execution was well done. if lyrically any of her songs seem a bit out there and balls to the wall insane there's a greater than even shot it was produced for use in an anime. like "Aura" comes from the same set of songs too and yeah she's a part of the show.
Apparently Ms Kajiura called Emily Bindiger her English Teacher. I've never heard her speak English. These lyrics are simple but truthfully to the point. This is a very nicely done video - well done! Yes - I like it.
Her music is beyond incredible. I first learnt about her when I watched Fate/Zero. The music there captivated me. It truly made the scenes a lot more emotional.
one of the yuki kajiura masterpiece and my favorite all the time, the studio version sung by emily and live version is sung by keiko, both ver is amazingly beautiful 👌👍
This song came up on the Yuki Kajiura playlist. When it started I didn't think much of it, but when I heard the lyrics... Instantly brought me back to .hack//SIGN. Amazing show, almost comparable to Serial Experiments Lain in terms of mindfuckery. I first watched this back on YTV when Friday night Bionix was still a thing. Took a rewatch back in high school to understand most of it.
Not necessarily. We convince ourselves that we have others who are here for us, but in the end the only person you truly have is yourself. We are alone in our persons, in a collective universe yes, but in a literal sense we are alone.
if you watch the anime, they actually play this in .hack//sign as really soft background music. i don't know about any other in the .hack series that plays this.
Well, as with any form of art, I think it's up to the person experiencing it to determine the nature of what they're being exposed to. Even the visions of the artists themselves matters little when the eye of the beholder has chosen what it has seen.
Something about this makes me recall the years I walked a lone path ... I would seek out any places that's had water and would spend forever staring at it ... Be it a river or a lake There was a bridge I used to walk to. Would stand in the middle. Stare down at the murkiness. I imagined drowning in it. Traffic would roar by. People would scurry by. But I stood there just staring and thinking ...
this is a great anime! I lve this song, cause it spoke to me,i felt like wow there are people feeling like me,in the end the most depressing anime of all time and trust me i suffer from depression, take pills and all o that but still love this song!
@@manjolajakaj9594 lol, dang. I thought people would get it. In the episode when the group fights the barbell monster inside the Hulle Granz Cathedral Mimiru yells that to Tsukasa before the fight begins. This fight was the only time that the full song with the vocals is played in the series.
ahh, thats why. its been a couple years since i watched it so thats why it was familiar. i think its in the games to though. not sure. i need to double check. thanks
@TheFlamehairedshana She usually sings only background vocals, like in Zodiacal Sign watch?v=PPqu8LXL2WM . Saints from Madlax OST is one of the songs where she performs the main vocals.
That's the thing though. I am right, but at the same time, so are you, and everyone else. Again, I'll refer to the eye of the beholder, and say it's all about perspective. Though, my ears completely agree with you that the song is about feeling lonely, I dislike it when people tell others what to see in art. =)
Aaallll right. You people are depressing! I'm reading all the top comments, and they're all about how everyone can relate to the song 'cause they're so lonely.... I mean, it's a beautiful song, but damn!
Adam Parsons lol, I gotta say .hack is the most nonchalant anime I've ever seen. I didn't mind the the story because I was captured by the atmosphere and themes presented in the series....going back to SAO, seasoooooonnnnnn 2 :D
What's with people always explaining they like or dislike or do things because they have depression. MOST PEOPLE have depression, and pretty much everybody has had depression at some point in their lives, so it's like saying "I breathe" and I'm like "do you want a pity party and a medal for that? I long ago ran out of both." personally was born with it but got over the supposed mental "symptoms" very early on thanks to a lot of tough love
How Common Is Depression? It has been estimated that 9.5% of adults in the United States have a depressive disorder in a given one-year period, and that 5% of children and adolescents ages 9 to 17 have major depressive disorder in a given six-month period. It has been estimated that 5 to 12% of men and 10 to 25% of women experience depression at some point in their lives.
on a side note, unless you've been in a psych ward, don't say it's nothing, after several suicide attempts, at least two cardiac arrest and being in coma, ending up in the red wondering when or if something will happen. you have no idea of the terror associated with the actual disease.
most people do not have depression: >The National Comorbidity Survey - Adolescent Supplement (NCS-A) examines both dysthymic disorder and major depressive disorder together. These depressive disorders have affected approximately 11.2 percent of 13 to 18 year olds in the United States at some point during their lives. Girls are more likely than boys to experience depressive disorders. Additionally, 3.3 percent of 13 to 18 year olds have experienced a seriously debilitating depressive disorder.
This song hit me 20 years ago. And today it still hits me the same way, damn.
Ditto
" Fly my voice, far away... to eternity "
Great lyric/writing

this is still one of my all time fave songs!
Her music is beyond incredible. I first learnt about her when I watched Fate/Zero. The music there captivated me. It truly made the scenes a lot more emotional.
The song is pretty deep, and beautiful for being about something so sad. Yuki Kajiura's music usually brings my spirits up! =)

That 2 minute buildup did not disappoint.

Those strings are everything
Really takes me back
She's really amazing...
The song is more about feeling alone than actually being alone.
Not necessarily. We convince ourselves that we have others who are here for us, but in the end the only person you truly have is yourself. We are alone in our persons, in a collective universe yes, but in a literal sense we are alone.
god i missed this song and anime.... without a doubt this is my favorite song
Great piece of melody. Love it

ChaosTheory818 the old anime has the best background theme like chronicle tsubasa too... 😊😊
That season has tons os yuki kajiura songs playing in the background:D was one of my favorite things so I had to look the songs up haha
.hack//Links plays this.
wow, that sounds phylosophical

This is so beautifully magical. I love listening to this.
It is not the most depressing anime of all time. It is very possible that it is the most depressing anime that person has ever seen, though.
Laughs in Welcome to the NHK

it does have a sad sound on it but it is beautiful and feeling sad only makes feeling happy better

This video is so epic it just decided to skip 480p like a boss.

this is a great anime! I lve this song, cause it spoke to me,i felt like wow there are people feeling like me,in the end the most depressing anime of all time and trust me i suffer from depression, take pills and all o that but still love this song!

Ok? Am just here cause this is a great song.
@yottabytewizard thank you =D
How did u find the picture of Yuki Kajiura from her younger days?
@TheFlamehairedshana She usually sings only background vocals, like in Zodiacal Sign watch?v=PPqu8LXL2WM . Saints from Madlax OST is one of the songs where she performs the main vocals.

This song always reminds me of Magnetic Rose. It was made for Eva, it tells her story.

@blacksofia no,it is called .Hack/Sign,watch it´s cool^^
is this music from hack.//sign?? O:
@kenshiroonline from which anime is this song? Thank you.
I tried suicide a few times, apparently it falls under my inability to commit to anything >_
i wonder if her name is made from the same kanji as snow :P
"most depressing anime of all time"
I haven't watched it yet, but somehow I doubt that...
@kenshiroonline You're not alone in your loneliness
He's probably raving mad.
I love the violin. The rest is decent, but the violin part is incredible
same
I assume you tried ost Key of Twilight. violin rocks there too.
Amen to that! Also dig your Danish sentiment, seeing as I'm therefrom :3
Hack
Rafael Faro yea from hack sighn when tsukasa entered the world for the first time i never this was the singer for this amazing song
Aaallll right. You people are depressing! I'm reading all the top comments, and they're all about how everyone can relate to the song 'cause they're so lonely.... I mean, it's a beautiful song, but damn!
hey, if you ever find it.......
Ok, I've got the musicsheet/tab, but I can't post it... So just go visit my channel, it's the only video I've uploaded...
Sitting in my chair listening to this song and literally all i hear is Kingdom Hearts.
.hack//SIGN
yeah, probably
What is this song for?
.Hack//SIGN (the soundtrack is really good, but the anime's plot is so bad that I'd give SAO's Time skipping Story progression a higher rating.
Adam Parsons Eh, I'd say .hack//SIGN is better because it doesn't go to shit in the second arc. It remains consistent through the whole series.
But SAO was pre' good during the first part... THEN got shit. .hack was just consistently
shit throughout the entire anime.
Adam Parsons lol, I gotta say .hack is the most nonchalant anime I've ever seen. I didn't mind the the story because I was captured by the atmosphere and themes presented in the series....going back to SAO, seasoooooonnnnnn 2 :D
I'm excited about SAO season 2 as well. :)
you mean we are NOT alone?

why does this remind me of .hack?

wrong.
Personally, I couldnt stand the anime, but I love the soundtrack
I like the song but the meaning of the lyrics is false and probably from a grossly mislead individual
Explain why
Mmm nope wtf ?
