This is a beautiful pattern. But I noticed -- and I hope you aren't offended -- you do the same thing I do. You sometimes make what I call "a half-single-crochet" instead of an actual single crochet (see @ 2:55). I do it, too. I once did a whole hat with this stitch! LOL! There is very little difference and I sometimes think it makes a nice change. (I did not tear apart the hat, BTW.) I really enjoy your videos and love the new patterns you come up with. ❤ You're so talented!
@@marigeobrien Not sure what you are talking about. 2:55 shows an actual single crochet stitch, using American crochet terms. Do you use UK crochet terminology perhaps?
I have to agree with Rehana. I hate it when people at the beginning of the video have to talk about the project for 15 minutes before starting. You do amazing work, and I am so glad that I came accross your video!
I've been crocheting almost as long-- since I was 16 or 17, when my mother taught me. Every time I find a new pattern I think of my mother and how much she would loved these! And that knotless switch! I'm not sure if that's what it's called, but that's what it is. What a genius way to end yarn or switch colors. And no knots! It's awesome.
I have never seen this stitch before but I absolutely love it. I was getting bored with everything else when I ran across this tutorial. I started a baby blanket in lt blue, royal blue and sand. Thank you so very much for sharing.
This stitch is very beautiful. You explain it so good where it's not nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Thank you for sharing you gift and talent with us.
Hi, thank you for your videos I've made a waffle rug and a basket weave rug, which I gave to charity. My next 2 are your Bavarian pattern and your 3d shell one above.. my disabled eyes thank you again for making me crochet outside my comfort zone.😌
I wanted to do something handmade for my sisters for Christmas. I have been searching forever. I ran across this and I thought perfect. Scarves for everyone. Also I love your tutorial. Very easy to follow
TY for showing us this stitch.I am a senior citizen and have seen a lot of beautiful patterns but, this is by far one of the coolest ones I've seen.I can't wait to try this pattern.
Mary What a beautiful stitch! I have never seen it before and can't wait to try it out. Your directions are excellent---I've watched the video twice and am ready to start, taking it one row at a time. Wonderful video! And I'm so glad that you don't have music in the background. Thank you!!!!
Love the 3D project blanket. It's on a WOW level. The tutorial was so self explanatory and easy to do I will be making this blanket. Thank you for making this tutorial.
Thank you Donna for making something so complicated look so easy...Will be my next project...working on the Jacobs Ladder right now...can't thank you enough....Beautiful work!!!
I Love this this stitch. While trying to figure out what to do with it I am going to make a pillow for practice and see what ideas come to me. Thanks Donna.💜
Hola Naztazia...! Siempre me gustan tus proyectos que nos compartes... pero esta puntada en 3D ... está espectacular y sencillo de tejer... sólo hay que seguirte... muchísimas gracias... éxitos
You are an amazing crochet artist, love everything you do, because of you I've learned so so many styles of crochet, and your an awesome teacher, the best ever on you tube. I've been crocheting since I was 10 years old, but always granny squares and double crochet blankets, now cos of you I know loads of styles. Thanks so very very much. Love from ireland xxx
What a great stitch! This is one of the best tutorials I have seen - you do it so well and your instructions are so clear, Thank you! I am just teaching my sweet grand-niece to crochet (left-handed) and she has "caught the bug!" I am forwarding your "How To" videos to her - your tutorials are wonderful and I know she will love them! Thank you and happy crocheting!
This pattern is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am 1/3 done with a current project and rushing through it so I can get to this one. This is really cool. I love the way you teach. The camera work is perfect. Thank you thank you thank you! 💕
Oh thank you. I like how you show the work. You do such a great job. I love the wsy you get right to it and not go on and on about the yarn and othet stuff. Your my favorite
Always looking for new stitches to do this stitch is awesome and you show how to do it so easy thank you so much for this. I plan on doing a baby blanket with it. What do you think?
This is so fun looking - I wonder how it would look all in one color for an adult who wants a soft mushy 60" x 60" throw - with Soft Blue by Caron Simply Soft. How much yarn does this take??
Donna, this is another winner! I'm making my second "sampler" blanket, and saw this stitch and just had to include it. Worked up perfectly, I had the right number of stitches in my blanket, and it's turned out beautifully. I did 4 different colors. Thank you so much.
Thank you Donna with this tutorial,I was so inspired with your tutorials, and made this to cover an old purse,,and gave as a gift,..and also started my you tube channel ,trying my luck ...thank you
I was looking for something "unique" to crochet for a cowl/scarf and now I found something truly easy and cute and if I change up the colors I'm sure it would make something nice for my nephew.
I don't understand why so many say this is simple. It is actually quite complicated. Once you get it, it flows. It still remains very time consuming and a yarn hog. The results are wonderful and as usual Donna is a great instructor. But easy it is not, okay.
Donna, I bought yarn today, red and gold, my son wants a twin 49er blanket, i am going to try it in the 3D stitch thanks to your pattern, i will upload pics to my instagram and tag you in it as soon as i finish it
You are such a genuis artist Natzaia! It would be so helpful and the benifits would be double if you could please, make videos of projects with these new amazing stitches..like for example, a hat, a scarf..Etc..As it would be much easier to apply and learn it faster
What a cool blanket this would make. However, it sure looks like a yarn eater of a stitch. So maybe a nice small throw, or use a thin cotton mixed with a scrubbie yarn for a dishcloth. But again, a very cool stitch. Awesome tutorial. Thank you. It would be a great square in a sampler blanket.
This is so cool! I can hardly wait to try it, however I have to wait until I accumulate enough yarn for a project. But I can practice with some scrap yarn I have. Your patterns are so accessible and easy to print. I’m now a subscriber. Thanks so much.
Thank you. Great stitch. To test, I had only done 16 + 2 and one row. When you put the ends together you get something like a button. The only thing I haven't figured out is the bottom where the hole is a little bit too big to simply sew it together. I will try out certain things to close the bottom part nicely. I added 2 more rows and a border and something like a tail, and I got a nice bookmark. I wonder how to make a triangle shawl.🤔 🙋♀️
Absolutely gorgeous. Your are such a great teacher and instructor!!! Can you please do a video on the last row if you want to do a border for a blanket??? That would be so helpful...
This is a fantastic stitch and tutorial. For some reason, I'm a slow learner when it comes to crochet; but these videos are great! Not a lot of talking and things I don't want to know :D

I absolutely love your video tutorials thank you so much
Glad you like them!
Looks like it would make an amazing bathroom rug with the right bulky cotton/bamboo blend.
I have a large brain injury. U R helping me lean how to crochet again! Thank u so much!
You are such a genuis artist Natzaia! It would be so helpful and the benifits would be double if you could please, make videos of projects with these new amazing stitches..like for example, a hat, a scarf..Etc..As it would be much easier to apply and learn it faster
If you have been following my videos, you'll see the basic stitch video comes first, then in a few weeks a project with that stitch :)
I am making a blanket now and I feel like it is never ending and it is a yarn eater for sure
This stitch is really gorgeous!
Absolutely love your tutorial. All about the stitch, no nonsense, intriguing and inspirational. I'm going to attempt a bag with this stitch. Thank you
So I got my issues cleared on this stitch. I'm making my grandson a blanket and it looks great. I'm wondering if I could get some border ideas.
This is so cool! I can hardly wait to try it, however I have to wait until I accumulate enough yarn for a project. But I can practice with some scrap yarn I have. Your patterns are so accessible and easy to print. I’m now a subscriber. Thanks so much.
I love this! I'm debating between making a shawl with this or a blanket. Decisions, decisions... 🤔 Thank you for the pattern!!
