  • HOW RIBA IS DANGEROUS & MODERN DAY OPPRESSION! - Nouman Ali Khan Animated Islamic Video

    www.gofundme.com/quality-anim...
    In this video Nouman Ali Khan talks about how Riba effects society and robs people of there hard earned money.
    Riba and Trade is not the same because trade is when risk is involved in the transaction and it is business related & involves hard work whereas with riba the banks earn money on interest without doing anything hence making them richer and richer and on the opposite side it make's the poor even poorer.
    Allah give's us a clear warning in the Quran to stop using riba & if you have used riba in the past you can keep that amount but from now avoid it at all costs!
    It is a big evil in society and muslims should work to find alternative's to riba.
    One dirham consumed in riba is equal to 36 acts of fornication! Which show's us the severity of the matter!
    Riba is one way to the hellfire. Also riba = Punishment in the grave!
    O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers.
    And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal - [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged.

    If the only way you can afford a house in one country is to get a mortgage, then leave that country and move where you can afford a house all paid off. It’s better than committing a major sin.

    Many countries have recession and inflation and yet they have productive capacity (GNP and GDP). The markets are there, as every year the world population is on the rise. Raw materials and commodities are there - there is more mining and agriculture output using modern efficient technologies. Yet you will find weak economies, problems with banks, rising costs, unemployment, currency devaluation etc. These are the ills of interest or usury (Riba), and every part of society suffers. Islam is right to prohibit this practice and it is amazing that in our big economies we can see the harm Riba brings.

      Strength 111 Make dua to Allah first the you could try reasoning with him.You could ask him 'is that money you're earning, hard earned money, did you work for it, did you spend your time making that money? If no then it isn't profit. You buy material or assets make a product or offer a service then the cost subtracted from the money(your sales) that comes in through the services is profit.' I wish you all the best.

      The bank will buy it for you for 50,000, and ask you to pay back a total of say 70,000 in installments over several years. So they make 20,000 profit like any other bank.

    Here are 21 tips from our Prophet (saws) to help you erase your sins :
    1) Repenting Allah says : "O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins reached the clouds of the sky and if you then ask forgiveness of Me, I will forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it." [Hadith Qudsi]
    2) Performing Prayer The Prophet (saws) said :"When the time for a prayer comes, if any muslim performs ablution well and offers his prayer with humility and bowing, it will be an expiation for his past sins, so long as he has not committed a major sin; and this applies to for all times." [ Muslim ]
    3) Performing Wudhu (ablution) The Prophet (saws) said :"He who performed ablution well, his sins would come out from his body, even coming out from under his nails." [ Sahih Muslim ]
    4) Attending the Jumu'ah Salah (Friday Prayer) The Prophet (saws) said :"The five prayers and from one Friday prayer to (the next) Friday prayer is an expiation (of the sins committed in between their intervals) if major sins are not committed." [ Sahih Muslim ]. "Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then uses his (hair) oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds (for Jumua prayer) and does not separate two persons sitting together (in the mosque), then prays as much as (Allah has) written for him and then remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven." [ Sahih Al-Bukhari ]
    5) Waiting for Prayer Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.S) asked : "Shall I not tell you of something by means of which Allah erases sins and raises you in status?". They said :"Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He (saws) said : "Doing wudoo' well even when it is difficult, taking many steps to the mosques and waiting for praying after prayer. That is (equivalent) to guarding the frontier." [ Muslim ]
    6) Doing good deeds Do more good deeds because Allah said :" Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds (small sins)." [ Quran : 11 verse 114 ]
    7) Performing Umrah and Hajj The Prophet (saws) said :"Whoever performs Hajj for Allah's pleasure and does not have sexual relations with his wife, and does not do evil or sins then he will return (after Hajj free from all sins) as if he were born anew." [ Sahih Al-Bukhari ] "The performance of Umra is an expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allah) is nothing except Paradise." [ Sahih Al-Bukhari ]
    8) Saying 'Ameen' after the Imam The Prophet (saws) said :"When the Imam says 'Ameen', you should all say 'Ameen' at that time, and he whose 'Ameen' coincides with the 'Ameen' of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven." [ Bukhari ]
    9) Calling out Adhaan The Prophet (saws) said :"The muadhin (the one who call out the prayer) will receive forgiveness to the extent to which his voice reaches, and every moist and dry place will testify on his behalf; and he who attends (the congregation of) prayer will have 25 prayers recorded for him." [ Aby Dawud ]
    10) Walking to the Prayer Place The Prophet (saws) said :"If he performs ablution completely and then goes to the mosque with the sole intention of perfoming the prayer, and nothing urges him to proceed to the mosque except the prayer, then on every step which he takes towards the mosque, he will be raised one degree or one of his sins will be forgiven. The angels will keep on asking Allah's forgiveness and blessings for everyone of you so long as he keeps sitting at his praying place. The angels will say, 'O Allah, bless him! O Allah, be merciful to him!' as long as he does not do a thing which gives trouble to others." [ Bukhari ]
    11) Giving charity The Prophet (saws) said :"The charity erases the bad deed like the water puts out the fire." [ Tirmidhi ]
    12) Asking forgiveness from others on wronging them The Prophet (saws) said :"Whoever has oppressed another persons concerning his reputation or anything else, he should beg him to forgive him before the Day of Ressurection when there will be no money (to compensate for wrong deeds), but if he has good deeds, those good deeds will taken from him according to his oppression which he has done, and if he has no good deeds, the sins of the oppressed person will be loaded on him." [ Bukhari ]
    13) Reciting Salawaat (Blessings) on Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.S The Prophet (saws) said :"He who sends blessings on me once Allah sends blessings on him ten times and removes from him ten times and raises him by ten degrees." [ al-Nasa'i ]
    14) Being kind to animals The Prophet (saws) said :"A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with head-cover she drew out some water for it. So Allah forgave her because of that." [ Sahih Al-Bukhari ]
    15) Praising Allah after Eating Food The Prophet (saws) said :" He who has taken food and says at the end : Al-hamdu lillahi-lladhi at'amani hadha, wa razaqanihi min ghairi haulin minni wa la quwwatin (All praise is due to Allah Who has given me food to eat and provided it without any endeavor on my part or any power), all his past (minor) sins will be forgiven." [ At-Tirmidhi ]
    16) Removing Obstacles from the Road or Way The Prophet (saws) said :" While a man was on the way, he found a thorny branch of tree on the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him (his sins)." [ Bukhari ]
    17) Hide Other's faults and sins The Prophet (saws) said :" He who conceals (the faults) of a Muslim, Allah would conceal his faults in the world and in the Hereafter. Allah is at the back of a servant so long as the servant is at the back of his brother." [ Sahih Muslim ] He (saws) also said :" The believer will be brought close to his Lord until He conceals him and makes him confess hin sin. Allah will say, 'Do you remember such and such a sin?' The man will say, 'Yes, I admit it.' The Lord will say, 'I concealed it for you in the world and I forgave you for it today." [ Bukhari ]
    18) Observing Patience during Hard Times The Prophet (saws) said :" Whenever a believer is stricken with a calamity (discomfort, illness, anxiety, grief or worry), even the pricking of a thorn, his sins are expiated for him." [ Bukhari, Muslim ] He (saws) also said :" When Allah loves someone He tests them, as for whoever is content Allah is pleased with him, and as for whoever is discontented, Allah is displeased with him." [Tirmidhi, classed as Hasan]
    19) Making some dhikr The Prophet (saws) said :" Whoever says, 'Subhan Allahi wa bihamdihi', 100 times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea." [ Sahih Al-Bukhari ] He (saws) said :" If anyone glorifies Allah after every prayer 33 times (SubhanAllah), and praises Allah 33 times (Alhamdulillah), and declares His Greatness 33 times ( Allah hu Akbar ), ninety-nine times in all, and to complete a hundred says : 'La ilaaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd wa huwa 'alaa kulli shai-in qadeer' his sins will be forgiven even if these are as abundant as the foam of the sea." [ Sahih Muslim ] He (saws) said :" If anyone says: Astaghfirullah-alladhi la ilaaha illa Huwal-Haiyyul-Qayyoumu, wa atoubi ilaihi ( I seek forgiveness of Allah besides Whom there is non worthy of worship, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance ), his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield." In another narration, these words are to be repeated 3 times. [ Abu Dawud, At-Tirmidhi and Al-Hakim ] He (saws) said :" If anyone sits in an assembly where there is clamor and says before getting up to leave 'Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika, ash-hadu Allah ilaaha illa-anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayka' (Glory to be to You, O Allah, I begin with declaring all praise is to You, I testify there is no god but You; I ask Your pardon & turn to You in repentance), he will be forgiven any sin (of the tongue) he might have committed in that assembly." [ Tirmidhi]
    20) Saying 'Subhan-Allah' 100 times Sa'd bin Abu Waqqas ( May Allah be pleased with him ) reported : We were with the Messenger of Allah (SAWS) when he asked :"Is anyone of you unable to earn a thousand good deeds?" One of those present asked: "How can one earn thousand good deeds in a day?" He (SAWS) replied :"By saying :'SubhanAllah 100 times, then 1000 good deeds will be recorded for him or 1000 sins will be blotted out from his record." [ Muslim ]
    21) The best duaa for seeking forgiveness is to say : "Allahuma Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana 'abduka, wa ana 'ala 'ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa abu'u laka bidhanbi faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta." (O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no god except You. You have created, I am Your slave, I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon). He who supplicates in these terms during the day with firm belief in it and dies on the same day (before the evening), he will be one of the dwellers of Jannah; anf if anyone supplicates in these terms during the night with firm belief in it and dies before the morning, he will be one of he dwellers of Jannah." [ Al-Bukhari ]
    May Allah erase our sins and save us from the torment of Hell. Ameen

      @ZiadHatahet 5 років тому +5

      You can give the poor people interest free loans. Nothing to do with interest/riba. As a matter of fact, this is exactly exploiting poor people, making them pay more for the loans that were given out and take advantage of them. If the effort was truly altruistic, there wouldn't be interest involved to begin with.

    • @atkhoja0400

      No because the increased price came from the house itself not from the time of your debt
      To make it simple if you have a guaranteed 100% percentage increase in your new purchase after some time regardless of any logical factors that could affect the price then it is a riba
      But if you think it will increase with a probability of 99.99999999% because of your well done research then it is an investment

    From the begining i wanna say that I don't agree taking a loan of any kind in any circumstances but you are missing in purpose or by mistake on of the most important thing about money, market and value. That is called in INFLATION. The value of the money is given by gold ( just in case you did not know) so the money value can increase or decrease but if course there are a lot of more factors that can interact with the value. In short words those £20000 it won't value the same after 35 years. Supposing the house is in the same condition after 35 years ( the value of the house didn't increase or decrease) but the inflation went up every year to calibrate de value of the money. That house without a doubt will cost at least £78000. And that it's just the inflation.

      The value of money is no longer decided by gold. Today it's decided by even more volatile stock markets and other things. Inflation is also a big issue, which riba lenders make use of to their advantage (it's basically a cycle)

    • @rfz231
      @rfz231 4 роки тому +1

      Ziad Hatahet The stock market has no influence on inflation, and banks use interest to hedge or “protect” themselves from inflation. Inflation, when kept a stable rate, is actually very healthy for an economy (opposed to either deflation or no inflation)

However it states in the quran what you give in riba to increase other peoples wealth does not increase with God but charity does. Now notice that war is not declared on ones who give. Because obviously people who are giving it are already being punished.

      1) why didn't God clearly curse the people who give interest in quran.
      2) still acknowledging some hadeeth are valid and went to an imam with this hadeeth. See I dont earn interest but like any Muslim living in north America life is hard without owning a house. The imam came to the conclusion that I can take a mortgage because life is hard without it. If you dont you are still paying someone else's interest and they can treat you like shit. So mortgage yes for a home I was told. Car insurance is also yes.
      3) some of the hadeeth are questionable and not strong. Like quran is protected but some hadeeth dont follow the quran.

      @@shaolinmonkk6248 Assalamu aleikom Imran, thank you for your message. MashaAllah, it tells a lot about you brother that you made the effort and went to talk to an imam about your concerns, which means you love Allah SWT and you care to please Him. Brother, I live in North America as well and there are Islamic institutions that help you buy assets (a home and a car) without Riba. I will provide the link at the end of this message. I am an Arab, Arabic is my mother tongue so this gave me one little advantage (although non-Arab get higher reward when reading Quran because of the effort they make due to language barrier), I can read the Quran and sunnah and do extensive research without losing 20% in translation, and this places responsibility on my shoulders and other Arab scholars to do the same and explain to our Arab and Non-Arab brothers and sisters, this is our duty because Allah SWT will ask us about this soon. As far as I've learned (I am still learning everyday so please make your own intensive research and do not just trust my word)There are three cases only in which the jama'a (ummah scholars) agrees upon for the necessity to break a shariah law : 1. If you are scared of being killed 2. If you are scared that you might lose one of your limbs (amputation) 3. If you will lose ALL your money, this is what I have leaned so far and Allah SWT knows better. And I am afraid to tell you that this imam might have not landed on the right fatwa about the home mortgage (may Allah SWT reward him for trying, but this is a serious topic and we only consider the decision that the Sharia agreed upon). If every one will think this way then we will start losing our identity and give up on our book and sunnah little by little as you can see around you, brother. Also, in the final sermon, the Prophet PBUH told us to hold tight to the kitab and sunnah, the kitab has the outline and the sunnah has the details. For example the Quran tell us : Pray, fulfill pilgrimage, etc. But the sunnah shows us how to do it. The prophet PBUH was Quran on feet (i.e. He is our example to follow). Unfortunately, the lack of knowledge Muslims have about their own book made it possible to many people to start (intentionally or unintentionally because of their ignorance) sowing the seeds of fitnah by spreading the word that the sunnah is not preserved therefore we follow the Quran only, or we cherry pick from sunnah, this is what the prophet PBUH warned us about 1440 years ago, so please hold tight to his final sermon when he told us to hold tight to the kitab and sunnah. The only way to make it to paradise is to learn the kitab and sunnah and practice it because it is a book of guidance like a user manual. Listen to the lectures of Mufti Mink, Nouman Ali khan, Yusef Estes. Or Arab scholars if you understand Arabic (I can recommend some good names who follow the book without having hidden self-interests).There is no mystery in our religion, everything is clear, we just need to learn and research well. What the imam told you won't excuse you in front of Allah SWT, because we need to do our research and make sure that the fatwa x or y has given us is compatible with the Ummah's decision on the topic. The burden of proof is on us because we have rational thinking brains and sound fitra that tells you automatically what is right and wrong, it punishes you when you go stray.

Of course the borrower can't afford to pay the principal nevertheless paying 3-4 times the amount owed so he ends up being the slave of the lander.If

      Assalamualaikum (Peace be with you),
      If a house is, say, $200,000 you could possibly collect this money from friends and relatives. After you buy the house, you can pay the money back to your friends and relatives without interest.
      If that is not possible, than other options include:
      -Rent
      -Saving up money
      -Start a side business to earn more money
      -Exploring Islamic Finance options , where house can be given as hiba(gift).
      Finally these are the affairs of the Dunya, inshallah there will come a day in your life when you realise it is worthless, and the only thing worth stressing over is al-Akhirah. Seriously. Death could come at any moment.
      Peace be with you :)

      If you don't have money don't buy. 😕 or use your common sense which is say you rent a house for £1000 pcm and now you want to buy that or similar house. The price of that house is £400000 and bank has offered you 4% interest which is approximately £16000 per annum therefore you paying £1333.33 interest per month, so £333.33 you are paying is over your current rent is the real interest element of the transaction hence haram. So now you have to find a a deposit of £100000 in order to buy that house enable you to pay same rent of £1000 pcm to bank as interest.

    I don't know how the money goes in a Muslim country, but in a non-Muslim country. If you put money at the bank and say i don't want any interest, you will make no interest at all. But the bank or any form of financial institution, will take your cash and will fructified it. And it will pay the salary of the people who work in the bank or the financial institution. and invest it in the well been of the society. Plus you have to know the house was cheap, but the salary was very low and now the house are more expensive, but the salary is higher, just like Saudi-Araba, the Emirats Arabs United, the house was very cheap before they knew they have oil and now the house than 2 legs and 2 arms. I don't think at all The Bank from Muslims Countries, charge nothing and doesn't fructified the capital, because it will be impossible to pay the salary of the bank employee.

    Subhaanallah good video but logic is silly. The value of anything is depends on monetary system and production of the country not on riba. In the old times we were using gold standard (currency backed by gold) which can not be produced by artificially. So its supply is limited. And thats why that time banking system where failed. But right now the currency is backed by government. An Bank are backed by government. If banking system fail then government will lend the money to bank by printing more money .The flow of money increase then inflation increases and prices starts rising .Then currency lost its value .The country purchasing power decreasing.

I don't know much about economics, but I would wager that riba had a big role to play in what happened. Riba doesn't just involve lending money for money, there are other forms which are more subtle which people may not be aware of (like paying a late fee if you don't pay your rent on time, or your traffic fine increases if you don't pay by a certain date, etc.)

      There is no such thing as an Islamic bank. Islam has no notion of a bank, and no notion of a currency. A currency is something that you can agree to exchange for something of value, but the currency itself doesn't have value at all. For instance, a dollar bill is just a piece of paper, just like any other paper. But dollar can be exchanged for something of value (say a piece of bread). But real money, is actually something which has value in itself. Gold can be money, silver can be, even vegetables, and grains can be money (the barter system) because they have intrinsic value. This happened long ago (in the British rule) when the the notion of banks came along, and the institution called a bank, would take your gold as a deposit and give you a paper or a legal document or a 'bond' saying that 'When you show us this paper, you'll get say 10ounces of gold'. This way, the real 'money' the gold, always stayed in the bank, and people exchanged paper around, which was certified by the bank (which both seller and buyer agree to trust). But later in time, the value of currency changed, nobody realized that currency IS NOT MONEY. It has no value! It's just a stupid piece of paper, and you can no longer go to the bank and get your real money 'the gold' back. This is an important topic for people to understand. The fake money aka currency economy, which is now globally controlled by the US$ (and US$ is no longer backed by gold, or any real money, just a bank 'federal reserve' which can control it's value any way it wants) has no intrinsic value. There is no 'islamic bank'. There is no 'islamic interest'. This is all fake. Stay away from this.

    The logic is silly. He's right, it is very layman. The house's value should be irregardless of the interest payments which are essentially the rental of value of loaned money. At the very least he should subtract the total cost of the rent he would have otherwise paid from the total cost of the loan when determining the value of the house. ideally he would simply hire someone with expertise to appraise the value of the house

    • @truthisheavy7028
      @truthisheavy7028 7 років тому +9

      I think you are missing the point. The point is that people want to sell their house for more because they paid more when they bought it due to interest payments.
      Regardless of what the value of the house is, we do not rip people off in any business. This is part of islamic etiquettes in business. So if you bought a house for 10k, you would not sell it for 120k. Without riba, Most likely the price would be a lot less over time as the house was bought and sold multiple times. This is of course assuming that all of the owners we muslim and followed islamic ethics when buying and selling.

    • @waseemshaikh5489
      @waseemshaikh5489 7 років тому +1

      People sell their houses for more, because they can get more. The market determines what monetary value the house has via demand and supply. If I have higher costs of production I will attempt to pass those on to the buyer.
      If I'm a baker and the price of some of my inputs, for example wheat, goes up because of a bad harvest it isn't really rational to say this is because the farmer charges me for wheat therefore wheat should be free at the point of use (zero interest rate) because this is causing the cost of bread to go up. That would just mean no farmers produce wheat or only sell wheat in an unregulated black market.
      But once again, this is not primarily a business transaction. This is a consumption loan. I was mostly trying to point out that the loan itself has value. It is not necessarily unjust. If I had not gotten a housing loan I would have rented a house and so the loan should be at least be valued in terms of the cost of accommodation (which is subjective- factors like safety of neighbourhood, utility from rental alternatives ).
      And yes, I agree with you as muslims we should not overcharge on the things we sell and be generally ethical in trade.
      However what is and isn't overcharging is subjective. Furthermore simply because someone feels they're entitled to sell the house at a higher price doesn't mean they'll receive it. Possibly they'll simply hold onto to the house that they want to sell at a given price for perhaps a number of years or wise up and sell the house immediately at a realistic price.
      Also house prices rise over time, not fall. Inflationary pressures from an expansion in the money supply (and in some places a rise in population that isn't in line with a rise in available housing- shortage of land for new construction could be a factor).

    • @truthisheavy7028
      @truthisheavy7028 7 років тому +4

      Yes the loan has value, however I think we are getting sidetracked. Even if the logic had some problems in the video, it is not permissible to be having these haram mortgages that many people have. The same goes for buying and selling houses in which you earn a portion of the interest money.
      Remember there is hadith in sahih muslim that says the one who pays, the one who earns and the one who witnesses the contract of riba are all cursed and are equal in sin. Then another hadith mentions that eating 1 dirham of riba is equal to 36 times zina. So the person who pays mortgage may be getting the sin of zina thousands of times, yet these people are not worried?

      Waseem Shaikh mate the reason is because you using paper money which has no value you said your self it depends on the market and the bench mark for the market is paper money. now for example if the usa doller clabsis then s house which was 400 will end up being 100. point i am making is the market is based on interest and paper money which has no value. but yet if you had hold and dinniar no mater how the market goes up and do it will have value.
