Its amazing to see the difference in confidence level when comparing this to his home sim set up. His situational awareness is basically on an amateur level in the full motion sim. Good job however. Just goes to show you how much different a home flight sim is to this full motion.
It’s a very intense experience when you’re actually in the cockpit as opposed to what we normally do at home. That’s how I felt in my friend’s 737 sim although his is not motion. Everything is so spread out in the real cockpit. There’s a lot information coming in that we’re used to processing but in the sim it’s coming in from expanded visual environment so it’s disorienting because everything is not so compact. Then throw in the feel forces, every time you make an input or change the aircraft’s configuration and it becomes overwhelming, but exhilarating all at the same time. I could sense all that going on with you. I’m sure the more you do it those feelings subside. Great video thank you for sharing!
What you just described at the end, even if you know all the things on how to flight that particular plane, the environment, feedback, the people around and the power of little bit anxiety will throw you away and will give you that sense of feeling "THE FIRST TIME"!
This was great XP. I could feel the pressure myself there on the approach. Heart rate was high just watching. It's crazy seeing the difference it makes having more sensory inputs to deal with. What a great landing too. Nice work Cap.
Flipping awesome XP ...It s a great experience isn't it 😎👍..Been a bit since I had my couple of hours mind 😜 Glad to see everyone enjoyed themselves Great stuff
@ XP72, is this X-Plane, priceless, you and the HOG have a bless time in Jamaica, you hear that people when you are flying IFR you look at the instruments more then you looking at outside, with the exception when doing visual approach, that’s just 20% of the time the other 80% flying the plane looking. at the instrument and staying ahead of the plane, just saying
Excellent pilot, but obviously an Airbus man. Cut that throttle fast at 20, not used to manual trim. Never touched the autopilot or FMC, but on raw talent alone? Amazing landing, 60fpm, this guy's made from pilot blood.
Wow, super cette simulation. J'imagine bien que ce n'est pas comme sur pc. Là; il y a vraiment les sensations du réel. L'arrivé était intense! Bravo à toi! Magnifique vidéo.
Holy shit this makes my garage 737 cockpit look like a toy!!!!!! Wow. I’ve flown forced feedback yokes and throttles and rudders and it was so real I couldn’t believe it. Simming without forced feedback after you’ve done it is so MEHHHHH after! Hahaha you wish you had it all the time.
All my confidence is gone after watching this. Flying on Desktop and in a full motion Simulator so much difference. As XP72 said, whatever u learn by flying on the desktop is nothing to help in the real world. And it needs lots of effort.
Did it earlier this year, and also as a private pilot do yourself a favor and stop playing msfs2020 if you think it will help you fly planes IRL, the Sims are good for practicing procedures/SOP but will never be able to replicate real life.
That final approach was intense

I’m going to the SWA 737 sims with my friend next week 🎉🎉🎉

Yep totally agree. That’s basically what I thought too.
Its crazy because I was actually going to book to fly this very same simulator , Dream Aero in DC I think. Nice vid XP 😎

Yeah, thank you.
A friend of mine was in that simulator about a month ago, and he had a blast
Awesome! I had the lucky opportunity to do a full motion military grade KC-135 simulator. This was really cool as I can relate.

We did it bro!
Yes, part 2 is coming up soon. It’s your turn 😄
Now you just need one for your house
Yes I do 😁
HII XP
Is this Xplane?
Yh
I wonder😂
Yes, because X-Plane is certified by the FAA, unlike MSFS.
