FEMA operative, as. Ms Criswell , STAGNATES by design ! This is deliberate treachery against U.S. citizens ! Meanwhile, the Enemy Within abundantly assists illegal migrants .
They say eligible for 750 dollars. What are the caveats? For example, heard if they did not receive government assistance or have home owner insurance, they will not get the 750.00. Devil in details.
we need more DEI hire women in charge... FEMA head = clueless .... SECRET SERVICE head = clueless....BLM head = clueless ... we need more women DEI hires like these .. they do such a good job for the taxpayers .. . so professional .. so classy .. smh
I would usually agree with you. But, I’m learning a lot about how broken our system is. Holding people accountable doesn’t seem to happen very often. I’m hoping that Musk and Ramaswamy will be looking into FEMA and their misguided and unapologetic actions.
His point was a good one. The ill eagle my grents can get around $10K almost immediately and the citizen victim of adverse weather event gets $750 and not really even immediately and then has to wait god knows how long for the rest.....
This came from is heart -I pray these hearings of these gross practices be truly be addressed and these people practicing intentional and unfair behaviors be held accountable for their incompetent actions $750 for tax paying citizens and $10, 000 lawbreakers non-citizens who the folks that sign on this idiotic polices-Lord Jesus all these inside traders and threats is very wicked…😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The migrants are put up in luxury hotels, given 3 meals a day, have an area to obtain snacks whenever they want, they get healthcare, free transportation, clothing, debit cards, etc.. yet I have relatives that were denied the $750
All of these Congressional hearings are usually a waste of time. 🙄 Grandstanding by the officials and ultimately, no one is ever punished for wrongdoing and nothing changes.
One would think the purpose of these hearings, and why they are televised is so that member of the House of Representatives as well as the public could get the highest quality detailed information about what is happening with government agencies, including financially, but that does not seem to happen. Maybe these time limits for questions create some undesirable incentives. The FEMA Director Criswell apparently said the outflow of cash from the National Insurance to flood victims is currently outpacing whatever goes into that program by $800 million, but she did not a give a period of time for that rate. I am not exactly sure that is what Criswell was saying, but one of the representatives should have clarified that, and asked if this outpacing is happening, what are the actual source of funds. I think the people in government as well as in the media might be using phrases and statements that do not give an accurate picture of how the federal has actually been operating financially. Erskine Bowles of the Bowles-Simpson debt commission said back in 2011, as broadcast by C-SPAN, then, and in January 2024 on Washington Journal, that 100% of tax revenue went to pay for Medicare, Social Security, Medicaid, and interest on the federal debt, then at $16 trillion. All of the expenses for all cabinet departments was paid from borrowed funds, and half of those borrowed funds came from foreign countries. That would mean all of these statements suggesting all federal spending has been coming from taxpayer money cannot be true. Was that false information? Ask the people who were on the Bowles-Simpson commission. If the federal debt has increased from $16 trillion in 2011 to $36 trillion as of November 2024, see this web page, fiscaldata.treasury.gov/americas-finance-guide/national-debt/, then by definition, much federal spending has not been coming from taxpayer dollars. What I hope the American people want clarification on is the exact percentage of federal spending coming from borrowed funds, and the exact percentage coming from federal tax receipts. Keith Hall, the Director of the Congressional Budget Office from 2015-2018, further confused the issue when he said in August 2023 that 30% of the then $32 trillion debt is owed to China and Japan. That would be $9.6 trillion owed to people in those two countries. That is not consistent with published written documents of the Congressional Budget Office saying those two countries hold a total of about $1.8 trillion of federal debt. The total is at $36 trillion, 34 billion as of this past week November according to the U.S Treasury Bureau of the Fiscal Service. That number breaks down into smaller numbers owed to organizations and governments. The Treasury executives could clear up any confusion by providing a list of the creditors down to the nearest $50 billion. This level of debt is alarming because the annual interest payments have reached near $900 billion, larger than the Defense budget. The only thing higher is the budget for Social Security. The public has been getting a list of the cabinet secretary nominees for his administration. Do you realize that most of their departments, the ones they will manage, will be getting a budget like 1/10 the interest owed on the federal debt?
We know very little because these committees and their member do not want to make the objective getting high quality information about what happens inside these federal agencies, and how they operate the programs. In 2011 the federal debt was at $16 trillion. As of November 19, 2024, the Fiscal Service Bureau of the U.S. Treasury is reporting it at $36,034 trillion. We have added about $20 trillion since 2011. That means, at least to me, that $20 trillion of federal spending between 2011 and this date in 2024 has come from borrowed funds. Nearly all leaders of the federal government, and those in the American press have been relating federal spending exclusively to taxpayer dollars. Maybe using statements suggesting that it has makes them feel completely virtuous, even though it is inconsistent with running federal deficits. The federal debt is the sum of the annual deficits. As long as we have deficits, the federal debt increases, and the annual interest payments increase. I am interested in how U.S. Treasury officials actually calculate the annual interest payments because not all U.S. Treasury securities are at the same interest rate,, which makes the calculation more complex. The Treasury Department reports the annual interest payments now at near $900 billion. That is the big problem with this level of debt. That level is higher than for Defense and any other cabinet department. Can taxes be raised enough to cover about a $1.6 trillion annual deficit?I I do know Keith Hall came on C-SPAN n August 2023, and said the federal debt was at $32 trillion then If it is $36 trillion now, then $4 trillion was borrowed between August 2023 and November 2024. We have a president elect who was elected despite court convictions. Could that suggest a loss of faith in many of our institutions that can be tied to the report of the Bowles-Simpson debt commission back in 2011? I do not know the answer to that question. I do know that Donald Trump, back in 2016, was the first president of the United States elected to have never held any position in government before having been elected president.
I think it would be healthier for the American people mentally if our government leaders and those in the American press would stop making expressions relating federal spending exclusively with taxpayer funds.
@@chrisdorman-c5r we are in debt and that is good information. As for Trump the people studied the case around him and decided for ourselves frankly what we thought he was or wasn’t guilty of. The lawfare was obvious. Yes it is a lack of trust it is clear they are abusing power. On both sides. As for the children the excuses are weak and frankly transparently false. As I pointed out with fact that Ms13 have visible gang marking. Where our money is going we don’t know but it certainly isn’t to fix these issues. Taxes were never meant to be permanent frankly.
@ whoops lol I’m human I also just watched the entire hearing on missing children. Smh I thought I was responding to that. Apologies. Still very good information
And, What will come of these """"??? HEARINGS
The clock is ticking for these people .
This is a way for congress to appear like they’re “on it” and then when the cameras are off nothing changes

If you aren't going to fix the problem, why spend the time and money to have a hearing?
These ineffective hearings are really just a grandstanding pissoff fest.
I would usually agree with you. But, I’m learning a lot about how broken our system is.

America first
This lady should be shown the door and all her benefits taken away. If she didn't know or did know somehow she lied.
Trump Will Take Care of The Problem Period!!

Just who does the Federal bureaucracy answer to.... apparently no one!
Truth bring it on
What do these hearings actually accomplish?

The migrants are put up in luxury hotels, given 3 meals a day, have an area to obtain snacks whenever they want, they get healthcare, free transportation, clothing, debit cards, etc.. yet I have relatives that were denied the $750
DOGE can’t get here fast enough !!
Pass legislation to fix it then…simple
All of these Congressional hearings are usually a waste of time. 🙄 Grandstanding by the officials and ultimately, no one is ever punished for wrongdoing and nothing changes.
Nobody is punished because a certain party is in control and Congress does not have sufficient power by itself. Hopefully things will change soon

She is lying....
One year in Prison for EVERY house you skipped!!!!
Bummer. Everything was running great until the bad weather. Then….the Peter Principle rears it’s democratic head.
She should be in Federal prison. Hateful, barbaric wretch.
Jail bottom line 👿🗑️
Her arrogance is unsurprising. Disgusting. But, not a surprise.
How much this hearing cost us with no results. Thats enough to fire her right on the spot. That money could be going to the people.
DOGE
