Jurassic Park is a 1993 video game developed by BlueSky Software and published by Sega for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. It was released as part of the tie-in merchandise to the 1993 film of the same name. The game includes elements from Michael Crichton's 1990 novel, Jurassic Park, on which the film is based. - Ігри
Well here’s to all us dudes pushing 40 🍻
Right on brother!!!
Fuck I was baby I’m about 30 this game and the Snes is the childhood along with tmnt on the nes
I never played this as a kid, now I'm 40 and just bought it (not that expensive) and played it for the first time... It was quite the experience
@@rangoreloaded lmfao no way
@@rangoreloaded how much did it cost u plan on beating it ?
It always amazes me just how short games from this era actually are. Most of them compensate for this by being unforgivingly hard.
Kid Chameleon comes to mind!
@@cainuk Probotector aka Contra hard corps if you are American. Average game length, about 2 minutes before it's game over 😂😂😂
And really great replay value
Replayability was more of a big deal back then. Especially before save games. You'd learn the levels and get better. With today's games it's like movie script which occasionally lets you do stuff, it's less enjoyable sitting through it all again
@@Autotrope idk mannn I get what you are saying but I will always be down for a Halo 1 through 3 playthrough
Man I used to play the hell out of this game
Play the hell
Christmas of 93 🎄this game & Sonic 2 . Good times .
Me too and then I got the rampage one and didn't like it as much as this one. I remember having an easier time beating it as Grant than the dinosaur just because the final boss was tough to beat when you were the raptor compared to when you were Grant
The little dart image is imprinted in my brain no lie 😂
Me too
In 1993 I was in the 3rd grade and so many cool games like this where always coming out. Blockbuster movie and a rented game with pizza was the perfect Friday night. Simple times 😁
Yeah. I uh.... really miss those days..... hey.... Can I possibly borrow your DeLorean so I can go back then? The New Millennium suuuuuuuuuuuuucks.
Lies again? Singapore Green
I was 15 and still my favorite thing to do!
Not just that but having to check behind the box to make sure it was the game cause we would take and move games that were popular that we wanted to rent next time behind the box of a game that wasnt too popular.
Member when there was only 2 genders? I member
Half a fucking hour?! This took years of my life!
Cheat codes dude for sure!
The ending or near end of the game confused me so that's why I never completed the game!!!!! I was addicted to this game!!!
My uncle molested me for trying to beat this game soo much
@@JoHnAnDjAnEdOe81 What cheat code? Didn't have that back then we had to use our brains.
This game was brutal
I remember playing this a few times. I remember loving the atmosphere, the sounds.. It was scary for me, but I kept playing.
I never even got to the last 2 areas but enjoyed it very much.
@@joedemelfie5509 last two 😊... I barely beat any of this as a kid
Loved this game. Finished it quite a few times. Agree with the atmosphere and the sounds. Epic.
I still remember a password for this game lol. KZDVT
@@muzzammeel That's awesome That you remembered a password from so long ago.😮
Graphically speaking, they really did a great job with this game.
These graphics blew me away on the Genesis. Arguably the best looking game on the console.
@@pakman0049 No, that would be Aladdin
@@afridgetoofar1818 I always thought in terms of the graphics capability of the console Vectorman was the most advanced, even if not the best artwork. imo
Great soundtrack too!
@@afridgetoofar1818 Aladdin is also another masterpiece.
That T-Rex is terrifying when you start the game.
"SEGA!!!"
@@joeygamer5387 “AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!”
Looked super realistic and impressive, knowing it's only 16-bit system!
No joke the Rex gave me nightmares when I was a kid playing this. Not so much the intro screen version but the jumpscares in the later levels when he pops out and tries to eat you.
And he miss u when u fly in helicopter
The atmosphere of this game was, and apparently still is, amazing.
One of the greatest games of all time. I would replay the raft level over and over because it was such a blast. Pushing 40 and this is still one of my most fond gaming experiences.
Same on all acounts here :)
I love how the T-Rex just pops in and stays there even after you pass her. She's just like "Everything alright over here? Any... anyone need some T-Rex stuff? I'll just be over here. T-Rex. If you need me."
Ahh yes, I remember as a kid growing up there was a blockbuster right across the street. Friday night my buddy would stay over and we go walk over to the blockbuster and rent games and ordered pizza and played all night through the morning. Good times. The 90's were awesome.
Hola si
I have the same memories. Being a 90s kid rocked.
Here, here.
Bravo
Anyone else use to get scared playing this game? Even now it still creeps me out lol 29 years old and this game still fucks with me
Sewer and Volcano levels are the worst!
I was just thinking the same thing lol this shit was creepy back in the day
kinda gives me lumpy touch
vibes from it
This game used to spook me when I played it as a kid, especially the intro. Despite that, I still played it a ton.
Just really happy that there's people out in the world who feel the same way as I do lol
I played this non stop on genesis. The music that plays over the map stuck with me.
The music has tormented me every day since that fateful day when I played it
lol, same here. That map music pops into my mind every couple of years or so.
This and the map for golden axe has stuck with me as a kid
Its kinda funny now lol. A t rex saying Sega is a raptor saying Alan!!😂😂
I loved this game as a kid.. Only ever rented it and never got to finish it, so I'm glad I get to see how it ends! Thanks for doing this.
Hey man I have it on my android phone. If u down load a sega genesis emulator and then download the roms of the game u can get alot of old school games on your phone
Fun fact, I owned it, and there was a functional password for one of the later levels of the game in the player's manual on the page about the password system. To this day I don't know if it was a mistake or an easter egg for players who bought the game and bothered reading the player's manual.
We rented this game back-to-back and I can't remember if I beat it or not 🤔
@@markjohnson6626 yeah but retro games on mobile can be quite challenging because of the touch controls, unless you connect a controller via bluetooth
took me a while to figure out how to beat this level as Grant.
When I played this as a 11 year old kid, this arguably was the closest to a “horror game” on the genesis. It wasn’t necessarily scary but it was definitely creepy. The music, sound effects and visual effects gave the player a sense of the dinosaurs and the environment being evil. The extreme difficulty also added to a sense if dread. I never got past the boat level where you go down a river. Too hard.
When i played this for the first time, i couldn't make it past the sewer level
Splatterhouse
I would never make it past the pipe level lol
Wasn't there a Castlevania game for the Genesis?
@@jimmycutlets8842 not hard bro. What part did you stop at? Like my comment so I can get a notification.
I like how not only did Grant have to traverse the whole island to get to a visiting station right down the road from the pump station he arrived at, but that there was also a large group of dinosaurs just chilling out in an active volcano waiting for a human to enter.
Got a Genesis and this game Christmas morning ‘93. Good times.
I would rent this on Friday nights after school feom the local movie / gaming place and spend all weekend just plugging away at it.
Some of the best days of my life! No responsibilities, no worries about money...etc
Biggest worries was if the game was already rented.....and why the pizza guy was taking so long.
Yep. Once you hit 18, it's all business.
1:12
That loud dramatic melody, to this day, is still music to my ears!
I came here looking just for this particular music.
Omg!!! I remember JP for Sega! This is bringing back memories, lol.
That intro scared the shit out of me as a kid.
This game always creeped me out as a kid. They did a great job with the color, atmosphere, and music. Also the t Rex saying Sega was great
Could you imagine a modern horror remake of this game?
This needs a remake it’s the best jurassic park game ever made
Especially the Rampage Edition!
The river raft part is from the novel, I love how they got that
+Niranjan Srinivasan Definitely, its an awesome part of the novel too
The scene with the T-Rex with the car in its mouth is also from the book, in the book Rexy pays for the Land Cruisers in her mouth with Tim inside, and throw him away.
The game came out alongside the movie, so with nothing else to base it on, they took inspiration from the book lol
I remember playing this. Never got far it was too hard.
It really wasn't hard.
I beat it. I just wished it was longer.
@@RisingBeast00
I mean when i played it, i was like 8 years old. Its was too challenging for me.
@@enij1657 me too.
Wooow what a classic game I'm 42 years old I remember playing this game when it first came out they should remake this game for the new consoles that would be awesome!!!!!
Or, maybe make new games?
Omg omg omg thank youuu for this. Just got a huge flashback and felt so nostalgic
I still remember the Christmas I got this game with a Genesis/Mega Drive when I was a kid. Playing as the raptor was so dope. One of my all time favourite games.
Grant was a bullshit final boss.
He just sat there and spammed grenades.
I know right! I actually beat the game with the raptor. But couldn't with doctor grant. This the first time I seen his ending in this video after all these years.
I remember playing this at the dentist when I was young. They had a sega in the arcade style booth. I always played this in the waiting room.
Man this is nostalgic, I used to be obsessed with jurassic park when I was a kid and I played this on my aunt's sega back in 2005-06
Yeah, that's likely the biggest reason why i beat it and never gave up. Despite it being pretty hard, i was such a dang fanboy that i couldn't stop until i beat it.
Thank goodness she wasn't a troglodyte
I played this game all the time as a kid and this is literally my first time seeing level 2 😅
Same. Never got passed level one as a kid
I hated those kind of games. In the 8/16bit days that seemed to happened a lot. Zelda 2 comes to mind. I did not get far in that at all.
@@kevinr.3542 Mickey Mousecapades for the nintendo was another that was just too much for me as a kid 😆 I played it on an emulator recently and its still pretty hard lol
I’m impressed on how this game looks for a Genesis game.
And to be fair it looked even better on an actual tv. The natural blur of a CRT tv was blending the colors and smoothing the pixels making the graphics look even more real.
Memories watching my brother played this, he even let me play alittle. I want to try myself fully of this game, I love these times. I miss those days too but thankful of the things I have now, but I love some bits in those times too in terms of technology
Tammie yeah I agree. I miss those days in the 90s too (and also the excitement of seeing the movie as it was the summer blockbuster of 1993) but the good thing is you can still buy the consoles and games to relive the memories. 👍 Technology is fantastic today and I have great respect for it but there's always a part of you that hangs onto games like this.
Worst case scenario, you can always download an emulator. Plus, you can cheese save points!
so do i and so did i grew up 91 sega was the shit
@@MadamFoogie yeah I bought it in the playstation store.
When I was done playing I would just jump off to hear him say " aaaaaahhhhh
Watching this brings back so many childhood memories. Had this game when i was kid and played it all the time because I was obsessed with Jurassic Park.
I love how you were so diligent about picking up that blue ammo and then never using it 👍
Lmao
The nostalgia from this game gives me goose bumps
SOMEONE BEAT THIS GAME?
If there's an internet equivalent of a standing ovation, you've earned it.
Now you’ll tell me someone beat Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker
This game creeped me out when I was a kid.
I loved this game as a kid, and still love playing it to this day 👌🏼👌🏼
I still have this game! My Sega still works!
Wow
I have the Sega too.. but I doubt it will work..
That's what's up!
I loved playing this game as a child. Even though the controls were stiffer than a plastic Jurassic Park action figure.
Had a really difficult time trying to beat it as Grant-- literally took years. Raptor was a bit easier, although gauging the jump distance was a real pain. I remember imitating the raptor's idle animations while I was bored in school. Yeah . . . I was that kid.
There was always that kid, the kid that would pretend to be a dinosaur. You people made life better
We would have been friends lol
@@SageLakshmi Defs
@@viktormartinez1405 Heck, during the break between classes in my school in Russia in early 90's, many kids played Jurassic Park in the hallway - "" I'm triceratops! - I'm Raptor - I'm T-rex - I'm Diplodoc!" - And time to time argue, if this or that dinosaur can take on the other and how would he attack or survive!
@@digimaks we had those same arguments too haha, except ours were over deagonball
I had so much fun with this thing. The first time Rexy appeared to eat me i panicked like an idiot lol.
This game is hard as hell, and I loved every second of it!
man I owned this game on my genesis. As a young child, this game was freaking hard lmao. Lots of nostalgia here!
one of the best games of the Generation of Consoles. The music the gameplay just outstanding stuff. Brought back my childhood hard.
The soundtrack is insane 🙌♥️ played this so much
I must have hired this game a dozen times when I was a kid. JP was massive in the mid 90s.
0:00 did the T. rex say “sega”
ua-cam.com/video/6s9sjPzyQjk/v-deo.html
Yes
AVGN
It did in dinosaur language.
That intro at 0:54 used to give me nightmares as a kid. After 25 years, I can confirm it still does
U know.. u really don’t know how much you miss something till it’s gone. The 90s life was so much simpler.. Super Nintendo and genesis is how we lived
Love these old games. It's also hilarious to me that nowadays we have 100+ hour games coming out and people complain that it's "not enough content" lmao
back in my day you could finish an entire damn video game in 27 minutes
😂 you right back then you could if you knew what you was doing an didn't get lost or killed along the way especially with no internet or cheats to help you.
I was 17 when this came out, and I very surprised how good it was since game adaptations of movies usually weren't... it also reminded me of Flashback, which to me was easily the best 16-bit action game ever made... playing as the raptor in this was definitely the best thing about the game💯
Flashback is a classic
I thought the same thing, it's like a jerky version of flashback.
That's a pretty high level of praise for Flashback rarely seen..I love it too but best 16 bit action game is a bit of a stretch..out of this world is a clunkier version of Flashback that suffers from the same problem: tough sometimes unforgiving controls..were it not for that I would place them a lot higher on the all-time greatest list! But I am glad to find another Flashback fanatic like myself! Cheers!
I was 8 when I played this and it terrified me. But what an awesome game. Certainly stands the test of time.
I love the T-Rex saying 'Sega" in the beginning
Not a perfect game, but it’s atmospheric, looks and sounds good, and has some genuine tension and thrills!
This was my favorite! Wish I could play it again.
You can even play it in a cellphone. I do that sometimes, you only need to download the Md.emu and the jurassic park rom and it's ready. And it's very comfortable to play
You can play this again, buy a sega genesis.

I vaguely remember one of my friends having this game back when it first came out. Very cool to see it being played again :)
Ah yes! Jurassic Park’s Dinosaur Slaughter Killer, Alan Grant! This vid came up in my feed and gave me nostalgia. Used to play this all the time with my cousin. Good times!
Nice run through! Great job anticipating and reacting to things in advance. This was my favorite when I was a kid. I definitely made more use the stun gun--shoots through walls (and vaporizes compies). I also used to shoot up and at angles a lot, rather than jumping and shooting straight. Nostalgia!
Wow - I haven't played this since I first got it when I was like 6 or 7. Watching this playthrough, I'm absolutely amazed I was able to beat it. I remember it took me forEVER to figure out how to kill the last raptors at the end 😭
one of the first games i ever played and i LOVED IT!!!
Girl in my 20s here, grew up playing this in daycare!!! So much nostalgia oh my god
When the dino said "sega" I felt that
How the hell did my 6 year old self ever play this? It looks hard lol
What an amazing ride watching this video! This was my favorite game in the early 90s!!!! I made it all the way to the visitor center, but could NEVER figure out how to kill those 2 raptors!!!!!!!!! It drove me nuts for years! I tried everything which led me to searching this video! I never considered the bones falling on them! Wow! Nice to finally know how this game ended!!! What great memories
I literally would’ve went the rest of my life not remembering how much I played this game but as soon as the video started I remembered EVERYTHING

Was nice seeing the parts of the game my kid-self never got to.
Loved both of the

action orientated was much scarier. Second one, the Rampage Edition, was easier and more action packed but I always preferred the first one.
As a kid it took me a while to figure out the last level ending. Great game.
I could never figure that shit out until I got lucky one day and started chucking smokes and killed the raptors crazy.
Fastest thirty minutes of my life. I enjoyed watching this so much that I was surprised when it ended. I never could get past the river level, so thank you for finally showing me how this game ends. I haven’t played in nearly thirty years but it brought back a lot of memories.
This was the funniest walkthrough I have ever seen. Those poor dinosaurs didn't stand a chance.

...this and its sequel the lost world were awesome. great childhood memories
That map loading music takes me wayyyy back.
I played this game as well and I could never beat the game. After watching this, why didn’t I think of it when I was 10? And losing?
