She takes pride in the fact that she disclosed key army positons live from ground zero. While this coverage did lead her to elevate her career but a lot of soldiers died due to her reporting during Kargil war.

Barkha while your reporting was brave and commendable, however do you ever regret disclosing live location at Drass. I mean you have bloods on your hand. Lt General Puri has specifically named you in his book, where he tell how your satellite phone was a threat and your live reporting on Tiger Hill attack alerted the Pakistani.
You may block the comment but, you never paid for your misadventures. And you didn’t even learn a lesson because you did the same during 26/11 Taj attacks, revealing troops live location and plan.

Now coming to what I have written, it has been said/ written by many decorated officers . Army giving permission to report doesn’t mean they feed words in her mouth. She reported live about Tiger Hill attack from 56 Mountain Brigade HDqtr, & her reporting on 26/11 is in public domain and easily accessible.
However by bringing Manipur, Palestine and godi media in this comment you have demonstrated your knowledge and intelligence. I have no intention on wasting my time changing your thought.

Lots of people have different opinions of Burkha Dutt, but the army wanted this war to be televised to let the people know their soldiers sacrifice, the govt allowed, it has its own positives and negatives., not sure she gave up the position by clicking some snaps., when the army clearly told that they can give any security or assurance., she went ahead and captured the war., even though some said it's for trp, if this never happened, we would never know how our soldiers are fighting, we would never know what happened.
She didn't give position by clicking photos, she gave away position by speaking on a Sat phone which Pak triangulated and attacked.

Exact coverage to reveal the position of our artillery units without having the enemy forces to do any labour to detect the position of our artillery.
