Spot on! And I must say, as someone who mostly enjoyed Echo, I'm glad to see it so high on your list. Your rankings are pretty much identical to mine 🔥
Great list. Mine is: - Deadpool & Wolverine - X-Men '97 - Agatha All Along - Venom: The Last Dance - Echo (I do like the show! i just enjoyed venom more...) - What If...? Season 3 - Madame Web - Kraven the Hunter I feel like I could go back to Madame Web, even though it's terrible, and still have fun with how bad it was whereas with Kraven I feel like I could never watch it again
Mostly agree, I would just put Deadpool and Wolverine 3rd, and Agatha all along 1st. For me Agatha was the ABSOLUTE best Marvel could've given us this year. With a 40 million budget, no unnecessary cameos, a fucking brilliant script, acting of goddamn point from Kathryn, Aubrey, Patti, Joe.... ugh I could go on all night long. Have not seen anything made with so much heart since WandaVision. Promised nothing and delivered everything.
Decent list. Agree with most of your list. I have What If 3 higher as I love the deep dive we got that was different from past years. First two totally agree. Yes the Sony stuff was low on the list as well.
My rankings for the year. 1. Agatha All Along 2. Deadpool & Wolverine 3. X Men 97 4 Echo 5 What If Season 3 6 Venom The Last Dance 7 Kraven the Hunter 8 Madame Webb 2024 was Gambits year and i would never have expected that at the beginning of 2024. Episode 5 was excellent. Echo i quite liked but so forgettable since it was literally release all episodes in one and then done so i hope we get to see more of her for Alaqua's performance. I feel like What If S3 should have been later seasons. It would have been better if the Watcher story had been set up at the end of S2. It feels like it shouldn't be the end but it is for external factors. Agatha has been the breakout for me as one of the many people who was excited when it was announced it was beautiful written and true to Jac's vision and was nice to not have a fibal battle episode and learn it was truly Agatha All Along and the twists and turns where all characters driven while Episode 7 was just television. I didn't need Wanda there but it gave me hope where on the road to a heroic Scarlet Witch return. The fact it was majority practical sets just added to it. I just wish they're had been no articles after that Hall H pannel as the cameos in Deadpool where spoilt buf it didn't diminish my viewing and I loved it Hope 2025 is a bright year for you guys!!
My Marvel ranking for 2024 is 1. Agatha All Along 2. Deadpool & Wolverine 3. X Men 97 4 Echo 5 What If Season 3 6 Venom The Last Dance 7 Kraven the Hunter 8 Madame Webb
gonna go most to least favorite for mine: 1. X-Men '97 (masterfully done, incorporating characters and themes that I both loved and despised in the comics and made them all work as one epic narrative) 2. Agatha All Along (another masterpiece, and it's honestly hard to put it even this low. Surprised me as maybe an all time favorite MCU story!) 3. What If...? (properly epic send off to the series. Couple of weaker episodes ding it down this low, but most of them were a wonderful mix of genres and characters that hit me in all the right feels) 4. Deadpool and Wolverine (a wonderfully fun time at the theatre, but had some structural wonkiness that kept it from being a truly great film for me, even if it was one of the most fun times I had at the theatre this year) 5. Echo (loved it, only reason I'd have forgotten it was because of how early it came out in this chaos of a year. Ranked this low because the ending felt rushed and I'd have loved more time to sit in Maya's world and all the delightful side characters. So not that I liked it less, but only that I wanted MORE!) I didn't bother with any of the SPUMC outings this year (or, y'know, at all with anything since the first Venom), so I can't accurately rate them...but based on the trailers, I'd say: 6. Kraven the Hunter (looked like it COULD actually be a good time, and I was tempted to go just to look at Ariana DeBose and ATJ for two hours, until i heard how horrendous it was) 7. Venom: The Last Dance (I was intrigued by the possibility of some Knull/King in Black stuff, which is what finally got me into the character in the comics after decades of not giving a damn, but the trailers looked like more of the same with a first movie that bored me and a second that looked bad enough for me to turn my back on Andy Serkis) 8. Madame Web (trailers looked awful, heard nothing good, even Jenna and Aaron's praises on Phases made it sound like something I'd hate, and the industrial sized nail in the already hermetically sealed coffin for me was Dakota Johnson's interview with you, BD...gods bless you for trying, brother, but some people just can't be saved. ;) )
Yeah good list! I can’t disagree with most anything of what you said. My list goes 8) Kraven the Hunter 7) Madame Web 6) Venom: The Last Dance 5) Echo 4) What If…? Season 3 G A P 3) Agatha All Along 2) Deadpool & Wolverine 1) X-Men ‘97
I almost ran off to check Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and Spidey and His Amazing Friends’s episode ranges for this year. Though I guess MG&DD is cleaner, I think it’s just the front 14 of season 2
Still not sure whether I should check out ‘97 without being familiar with the original series… def forgot about Echo but honestly really liked what they did with the cultural representation as well! Will get buried under all the D+ content but I can see people growing more fond of it with time.
1. X-Men 97 2. Deadpool & Wolverine 3. What If S3 (sue me i liked it more than s2) 4. Agatha All Along 5. Venom 3 6. Echo 7. Kraven The Hunter 8. Madame Web
Here's my list: 1. X-Men '97 (probably my second favorite thing Marvel has put out, first is WandaVision) 2. Agatha All Along (probably my 3rd or 4th favorite thing Marvel has put out, it's a toss-up with No Way Home) 3. Deadpool & Wolverine 4. Echo (they did this show dirty by releasing it all at once. probably why it was so forgettable) 5. What If...? S3 6. Venom: The Last Dance 7. Madame Web *I haven't watched Kraven yet. Not sure if I'm going to.
@BrandonDavisBD yeah, it's definitely the funniest MCU film to date, but in terms of story it was kinda lacking for me, I think my expectations were just too high
heavy on the making X-Men '97 my entire personality because not a day goes by that i don't replay some of those moments in my head... I've probably rewatched the whole season at least 5 times by now 😭 my ranking would be: X-Men '97 Agatha All Along Echo What If...? Season 3 Madame Web yes, it ends there because everything else is just not my cup of tea 😅
For me here’s my ranking (Also haven’t finished What If S3 so I won’t rank it yet) 7. Madame Web - 0.5/10 (It was terrible but kinda funny) 6. Echo - 3/10 (I was just super bored by this and they did Kingpin dirty) 5. Kraven - 4/10 (It’s bad but it wasn’t as bad as I was expecting, it had a few decent action sequences) 4. Venom: The Last Dance - 4/10 (It’s the weakest Venom movie to me. The 3rd act was fun but the rest was pretty bad) 3. Agatha All Along - 5.5/10 (The 1st 5 episodes didn’t work for me but towards the end it started getting better. Wasn’t crazy about the finale though) 2. Deadpool & Wolverine - 9/10 (MASSIVE step up here. Just such a fun and entertaining ride that did a great job at paying respects to the Fox universe) 1. X-Men ‘97 - 9.5/10 (I’m shocked this was my favorite Marvel project of the year. Sheer brilliance)
Great list! Here's mine: 1. Agatha All Along 2. X-Men '97 3. Deadpool & Wolverine 4. Echo 5. Venom: The Last Dance 6. What If..? 7. Kraven The Hunter 8. Madame Web The first two are the only ones I'll watch again and again and again.
Season 3 episode 1872 never punished the other big bad guy. Kate killed the henchmen and Xialing but the not the other head bad guy who killed her parents? Seriously WTF!!!
Great list BD!
thank you my friend!!
@ you’re great man! Truly have been inspiring me branch out with content of my own. Thank you 🤝
Agatha is far better than Deadpool 3
Great list.
I haven't watched Agatha yet, so I can't rank it, but I'm pretty sure my list is a pretty close neighbour of yours.
Happy new year !
Spot on! And I must say, as someone who mostly enjoyed Echo, I'm glad to see it so high on your list. Your rankings are pretty much identical to mine 🔥
let’s gooooo great minds think alike
Agatha should have been number 1
Deadpool 3 is a parody about superhero movies and not a real movie

D&W and XMen97 are interchangeable based on your preference.
Agree with the list, except i would put deadpool and wolverine below agatha
whoa that low!
@BrandonDavisBD yeah, it's definitely the funniest MCU film to date, but in terms of story it was kinda lacking for me, I think my expectations were just too high
Agree with everything but honestly I think I’m getting more out of what if then I did echo back in January.

What you think about batman 2 getting delayed to 2027, what are the chances of it merging with dcu ?
yapped about this on Phase Hero, it’s under the “podcasts” tab or “live” tab on the channel page!
Great list! Here's mine:

Agatha first 😎
Season 3 episode 1872 never punished the other big bad guy. Kate killed the henchmen and Xialing but the not the other head bad guy who killed her parents? Seriously WTF!!!
I think what if season 3 is better than echo
Kraven is undeniably better than What If, Agatha, Venom 3, and Echo
I disagree
Crazy talk it's not even close to Agatha
Totally agree this was 'What If' weakest season
Agatha is so bad i didnt even bother to finish the last 2 episodes
Ok good for you? You felt the need to crap on a show under a video where BD clearly said he really enjoyed it? Your fun…
Or maybe it just wasn't for you... Many people loved it
I don’t agree
What If is better than Agatha and Echo
It ain’t.
What If..? Season 3 isn’t landing that well for me. It’s alright.
