I feel like we’re gonna be a well coached defense this year also watches some Penn state defense I noticed he runs more zone or man/match principles versus with Godwin we were more true man2man he is also gonna give exotic locks in the back half and the front 6 and I think we got some good candidates to play nickel is Barnes stays at true safety and if Alexander shakes some heads could Woodaz drop a couple pounds and play nickel/OLB maybe big ??
I want Barnes starting at safety. If not we need a transfer there. Ricardo Jones/Barnes/Kylon are your main safeties I think. Let Jeremiah Alexander and Jamal Anderson be the 3rd and 4th linebackers when needed. I like Jamal Anderson a lot.
Jim Leonhard was also my top choice. Tom Allen is a really high floor choice. Big Christian who brings the BV crazy energy. It is a big pivot from quiet Wes. I liked Aaron Henry from Illinois and Santucci from GT, but I think this level of experience helps the staff stay cohesive and commands respect. It is a strong hire. Was only at PSU for a year. More of an Indiana hire.

Honestly pretty disappointed in the hire as I was hoping for Leonard and I don’t want anything to do with “Sandusky st” but I guess we will see.
