I can't believe no one mentioned the elf ultra precise brow pencil! That's my "gold standard" because I'm never paying over $20 for a tiny pencil! But also, I do really like it!
This was so interesting. I've never been able to create hairlike strokes w/ a brow pencil, it just basically fills them in. I use the nyx microbrow in gray & black (ombre brows 😉) followed by nyx lift & snatch pen to get the hairlike strokes. Thank you for being here for me !
Wonderful video Bobbi! Thank you for taking the time and $ for this comparison. I used the Anastasia one for yrs but lately been using the Ulta. My challenge is that few brands offer gray.
I've never found a pencil that i love. They all seem to be too waxy and i dont seem to get good color pay off. I may try 1 of your suggestions tho Bobbi. Although i do like the ones that have the mascara looking wands. 😊 I like the
Hi Bobbie, oops, I have gotten so far behind on watching videos, but here Iam and couldn’t wait to see this. I too absolutely love Benefit eyebrow pencil, but my goodness I too wish it wasn’t so expensive. I wear their gray during the winter and soft brown occasionally. Anyhoo, I also bought the Covergirl eyebrow pencil, but it is a different one. I like it, but it’s a bit too creamy. I went on Amazon and thought, okay, I love Kyda beauty makeup ( Kyda concealer was highly recommended by Nikki La Rose, but it’s no longer available. I love Kyda Beauty eyeshadow primer. And I’ve also ordered a couple of her blushes and they are so cheap. Anyhoo, I found an eyebrow pencil ( Kemelo Jane) it’s 1.5mm, dual ended, 5 colors, waterproof and it was 4.99 for the Grey and I love it. It stays on all day and I’m going to order it in a medium brown ( I think. Anyways, really enjoyed this video and it was so helpful as I have very very sparse thin, coarse eyebrows and bald areas so I need a pencil that is going to really work, and I want it to give me as a natural as possible brow. Do you think with my brows being non existent a pomade would work better? Or use both, as I ve seen you use both? I can’t use a gel as it cakes on my skin being no brow hairs?😢. Thank you so much. Have a Very Blessed, Happy, Fun filled Christ ~ Mas.
A pomade may work. I personally think that is the most difficult brow products to look natural. I love a pencil and then a powder to soften all the lines. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Thanks for sharing! At 57 im starting to get a few empty areas in my brows and finding a brow pencil for just that has been a Frustrating, long journey I have med to dark brown brows and have only plucked strays and for arch shape. I have never over plucked because I loved my brows and never really follow a makeup trend just use do what I like
Thanks Bobbi, I’m always on the hunt for an affordable brow pencil. I think I’ll try the covergirl one next plus there are some good suggestions from others here. I’ve been thinking and praying for you and hope all is well ❤
Awesome video, Bobbi... ive been searching brow pencils too! You just answered a lot of my questions... Patrick Ta seems to be having lots of issues... especially for a "luxury" brand!?!?😉 My problem is the colors.. they all pull too red. That's why I stick with the ABH Brow Wiz, for color. The Benefit pulls too dark! Thanks for the research! I'm gonna try the Covergirl one!♥️🥰💄💋👑
If you're looking for a more cool toned brow pencil, you might like the CoverGirl Micro-Fine and Define brow pencil in the shade SOFT BROWN. I've been using it for years! (I haven't tried their new Nano pencil, but I will at some point.) Prior to discovering the CoverGirl, I was using the Anastasia Brow Wiz in the shade Medium Brown. The CG Soft Brown shade is identical to the Anastasia in my opinion. I've been really happy with it, and you can't beat the price difference. I always watch for it to go on sale! P.S. If you want to try the Nano pencil first, be sure to look on the back or side of the package, and you will see a description for each shade option. I'm pretty sure the Nano Soft Brown is the same cool tone as the Micro-Fine pencil.
I have the NYX I use daily and the Benefit I use when I go into the office and out to family function and shopping. I don’t have to worry about it smudges or rubbing it off. This is my way of saving money
I feel like Kevyn Aucoin (The Precision Brow Pencil) was the OG micro brow pencil, I use to love that one, I haven't used it in years though. I usually use NYX lift and snatch brow tint pen now.
I’m not sure but I don’t think it’s 1mm or less. At least it doesn’t advertise it is. I’ve never tried it. It’s good you like the NYX. It’s far cheaper!!
Agreed, I don't think they ever did advertise the width but, I do remember being able to get the tiny hair strokes because of the formula, it's not cheap though. Years ago when I worked for Ulta and we started to carry the line I was fascinated with the formula, it seemed very innovative at the time.
I really needed this video topic for sure. I use Benefit but I would try any one of the ones you reviewed save for Kosas or Patrick Ta for the higher end ones Thank you so much for this you’re the best Bobbie!!!

She did, quickly though ✌🏼

I use that L'Oreal brow stylist definer one. It's not a micro one but it does the trick and you can't beat the price. Thanks for this video!
My favorite is the NYX. I think it's 1mm or less since it's a "micro brow" but even if it's not it still wins. I use Ash Brown.
Sadly, it’s over 1 MM but it is a good pencil!!! I choose that sometimes as well!
It's hard to find lighter, cool tone pencils.
I use the NYX Micro brow pencil, it's awesome and cheap!
Please do this with lip liners and mascara. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wonderful video Bobbi! Thank you for taking the time and $ for this comparison. I used the Anastasia one for yrs but lately been using the Ulta. My challenge is that few brands offer gray.
That’s my challenge too.
Great survey! Looks like scientific experiment.
I love the Huda and Benefit pencils. Those are the two I use the most.
They really are sooo good!!

Great video, I love the wow brow as well. I have two other brands I enjoy as well.
Brows are my biggest challenge. All the same issues you were pointing out. Thank you a million times over for such a helpful video 👍❤️😘🥰
I know the struggle is real! Glad I could help!
Absolutely, loved the intro!
Oh the drama!!! Thanks, it was fun putting it together!! 🤗
@MindfulMidlife 🤗😂
Nyx for ink brow but slim shady brow pencil by l a girl.... Is great price and good quality color is now natural looking
I have medium density brows except for inside ends where hair strokes are most noticeable.

I also am a big fan of NYX micro brow. To me it rivals Benefit.
Good to see you Bobbie - hoping all is well and I’m praying for you 🙏🏻

Like you, I LOVE the Benefit one, but it only lasted a few weeks!!😡 I have been looking for a replacement. Thanks Bobbi! 🙋♀️🥰‼️
😂 Loved the dramatic intro!! Your daughter?!
Haha, nope…all me!!!

I’m have that same problem. I’m always looking for neutral color or cool in the color options.

What a fun idea for a video. Also, your lip color is really pretty. What product did you use?
I have the NYX I use daily and the Benefit I use when I go into the office and out to family function and shopping. I don’t have to worry about it smudges or rubbing it off. This is my way of saving money
There’s a couple NYX. Which one do you like?

You’re welcome! So glad it helped!
Could be worse ... Benefit is NZ$51 at Sephora NZ but can be purchased NZ$47 elsewhere online in NZ.
Anastasia…has one
I finally discovered my holy grail eyebrow. Anastasia PENCIL. So sick of all these reviewed run out too quickly
