Mahindra & Mahindra Headquarters are in Mumbay, India. Facts: Mahindra was officially licensed by Jeep / Willys Kaiser, to build the GI Jeep since WWII. Some seven decades ago. *Mahindra trucks have withstood / survived the horrible Monsoon seasons in India/ Asia, including vestigial trails all over there since mid- 1.940's. You can now get one in green. Looks great 👍. Still too pricey @ around $30,000. Drop the price & I'd buy one. Perfect for the type of exploration I want to do...
This was originally a JV with Willys/Jeep and Mahindra back during WWII for production and distribution reasons. But the current version is a mash-up between the Willys and CJ, but with a slightly longer wheelbase and B to B length. However, it is not as wide. But since it resembles the Jeep so much, FCA filed a lawsuit and they were forced to make a few body changes so that it wasn't a clone, and it was to be sold as an Offroad Vehicle. So it doesn't have a windshield, brake/turn signals, license plate set-up or updated/current safety equipment.
I was telling a farm boy friend of mine about this and he was like. Sounds like cheap. Chinese crap I'm like. What are you talking about these guys make more tractors than John Deere. Maybe not more but maybe I don't know. I hate us.
Mahindra should not launch any vehicles in the West, because of the lawsuits they were hit with ! Abandon the West and sell your vehicles in the rest of world.
I got to say the new grill messes it up but this is a Willy's. More or less. Plenty to enjoy over side by side. Kind of like saying why would you want a boat when you could have a jet ski?
Oh I don't think so buddy....Mahindra Roxors are extremely reliable, they can effortlessly give you 50k miles, if you want something that breaks down every 2k miles, go for JEEP 🌝
@tractorben The new Ford Maverick has a price tag of just over 20k. A New Can-Am Maveick is 23k, and up some go for 30k or more. So the question is how can a street legal "Ford" cost less than a "Can-Am". Use Ford and Can-Am as examples, but you get the idea.

Clever that Mahindra created a unit in Detroit for design and build. Now they can sell this to the whole world. Detroit still rocks.
Detroit is the reason why we all have cars today.
Roxor should be in India too...helpful for farming community as an offroader commute or simple goods carrier
not cheapo enough
I mean it costs as much as a Bolero and has a 2.5L engine way too expensive for us
Better buy Bolero😂

It's there. Roxor is more or less old Thar.
Nobody will buy it

Old Jeep like grill missed

Yamaha has the 3 cylinder 900 cc with the 6 speed manual. Same engine as the one in the MT 09 hyper naked bike.

u can change it

Is this based on the CJ 5 or the original Willys Jeep?

It is closest to a CJ7. Exact same body width, but 8 inches longer than a CJ7. The wheelbase on the Roxor is also slightly longer.
hope street legal model is launched
I wonder if an overdrive would change things up?
all steel frame to service in case of Bigfoot attack😄
Had a Mahindra Jeep 25yrs ago and the metal was like cheese , have the really got better?
Roxor 🔥🔥🔥
Why would I want to buy an expensive Polaris if I owned a farm, can’t tow much can’t carry a good size payload, cheap plastic an cost way to much.
Because this piece of shit will break down within a year
Lol get a used pickup truck then and save yourself $20000

Totally different product than a Polaris.. Diesel, Full box frame. Drive shaft no belt…
This thing will outlive multiple Polaris UTV's. You should be able to get 300,000+ miles out of a Roxor if you take care of it.
Bet these break under 5k miles
I think they will be all right. It's not a Jeep.
