Learned a few new things 😀 0:11 Love the menu key to copy/paste values only (Menu Key/S/A), for me that's faster than the Ctrl+Shift+V for 365 users. For formulas only (Menu Key/S/F) is really quick also. 7:14 I work in Pivot Tables constantly and am always showing/hiding the Fields and always use the menu key on the keyboard (right click key) and arrow up twice to get to the bottom of the menu list and enter.
Great Short Cuts Jon, my main takeaway from this will be the right-click on the table and choosing to filter and also the mouse shortcut that goes with, excellent tip!
Thank you Jon for this helpful video 🙏🙏 Besides, I want to add sum additional and useful tips regarding your presentation. 1- We can also use Alt+down arrow to open filter button and select desired values from the list. 2- for shapes, we can use Alt key to snap shapes according to corners of cells. 3- Last one, we can also navigate sheets tab bu holding CTRL button and select right or left sheet arrow to jump the beginning of the sheets tab or the ending of it.
Wow. I have used macros for years, to open/copy/paste sheets that I use frequently. Import Sheets is awesome, never new it existed. Been an excel user for years and Jon always has something that is to me. Thanks Jon.
Excel can do so much. I Iove learning new tips even more than seeing tips I use often. I learned something (copying and moving shapes in line) so I had to subscribe to learn more
So I really like the templates usage and will try that right away!!! Course 3 of the tips I already use on my Quick Access Toolbar: 1) Paste Values; 2) Remove Duplicates; 3) Show field list. I see you use the Quick Access Toolbar on top of your Ribbon. Do you know that showing it below the Ribbon will colorize the icons?? This is really, really helpful.
Thanks Al! That's a great tip on the QAT! You can also colorize the icons above the ribbon by changing the Office Theme to White. That setting is located in Excel Options > General. I prefer the QAT above, to save a bit of space for the grid. But I use the QAT below in PowerPoint. It's nice that you can change these settings in each Office application. I'll add the tip on the colorized icons to our list for future videos. I think it would be helpful for a lot of people. Thanks again and have a nice weekend! 🙂
Great tips like always. I almost cried when you showed the right-click filter to value/color/font color!! This is a great time saver for me. For people not having the menu key, you can just right click then press e v and voilà! Not leaving the mouse and the keys can be pressed with the left hand.
Hi, very informative. Question please, how do we fix a chart in excel that doesn’t move by accident? Like easy to fix a slicer but a chart with data 📊 is challenging to fix solid and doesn’t move. Appreciate your help! Thanks
Any tips for quickly selecting a long list of data, (10,000s of rows) where some rows contains some blank fields (not blank rows)? Alt tab and down can take a long time when there blank cells dotted through the data.
Thanks William! I'm not aware of any settings/options that would suppress the right-click menu in that scenario, but that could potentially be what is causing it.
Hi need some help, I want the total of the qty multiply by price of multiple rows without adding extra value column which is ok with sum formula but when I filter the rows the total value remains same. Is there a way to use subtotal eg =subtotal(a1:a3*b1:b3)
Very valuable and effectively time saving tips!
Import Sheets is a new golden nugget for me. Thank you.

Really like the 'data entry pick ' method, re the copying , I have never been able to get that to work,
it looks like it is, and then no pop up menu.
Thanks William! I'm not aware of any settings/options that would suppress the right-click menu in that scenario, but that could potentially be what is causing it.
Great tips to increase the productivity. Thanks Jon!!
Thanks Ivan! Appreciate your support as always! 🙏

If your keyboard does not feature a menu key, you may use SHIFT + F10, which is, admittedly, much less practical.
Thanks for mentioning that, Paul! 🙌 I always forget to mention that. Agreed that it might be extra work, but can still be handy.
It can also be "sent" by name in AutoHotKey, if you have that program 😊
mind = blown. Have to rewatch this at least once. Possibly twice.
Thanks so much, Henriette! I'm happy to hear it helped. 😊 Have a great weekend!
