    Paddy here, chiming in again, Onchú is pronounced " on who".
    Cú is hound in Irish (Gaeilge ) and "on "is a derivative of word for water. Water usually being uisce as in uisce beatha for whisky water of life.
    Anyways so, for a helpful reference, if you see a haich( h) in an Irish word, it is an aspiration, or it's changing the consonants next to it. Now with the 4 dialects there are differences, I have the Munster so I stay with that.
    Our ch is never like a choo choo. We usually dont have the harder Scots ock for our ch endings either. It's softer.
    We talk mainly in the front of our mouths..you know we mutter gorgeously. We taste our words delicately as they escape our thin lips.
    That's all. Just a language lesson and Im back to listening with you again.
